I've been going to this lake since I was a child. I love it here. The new park is great and there is another one back by the nature trail. The sidewalk is now really well lit the whole way around for evening runs. Also, my kids absolutely love it here. We like to feed the ducks and watch the turtles sunbathing along the edges of the lake.

When we don't have a ton of time but want a nice walk, we head up to Towne Lake! It's not very big and it can get very busy but we just walk other trails nearby when it's busy around the lake. It's a pretty little lake and a scenic place to walk.

Love this neighborhood lake/park!! Nice walking trails (sidewalks) around the perimeter of the lake. Gorgeous views of the water & trees. This park is right across a high school and I felt safe walking in this area. There were ducks as well as a sand volleyball area for rec.

Great place to walk, rent a cayak, practice disc throwing, organize a picnic with friends or family or just relax.

The walk around the lake is just about enough to wipe out a 12wk pup which makes it perfect! Gotta watch out for the amount of duck cr*p though. Its everywhere. Well sheltered from the sun in parts.

I love this place. The walking trail around the lake is serene and offers relaxing walk experience. The recreation area has multiple sports and a dining area as well. 2 kids play area one in the recreation center and one in the lake is entertaining enough for the kids. Also, the two shaded area is good to do birthday parties (or any). They are FCFS on weekdays.

Towne Lake is a beautiful course. Slightly long, slightly technical, but the layout is great. Just watch for the creek!

Great place to go with kids. Mini lake with ducks and lots of trees. Also, there are a few covered areas for picnic. We went with family and friends and had a great fun time. Beautiful spot in McKinney if you want nice evening in nature.

Nice park with playground set and lake. It was a hot day. Uncovered slides can burn a kid. We cautioned our kids to avoid the uncovered slides. City should put up a sail covering to prevent users from getting burnt.

This is the top park in the area. Lake, fishing, running, biking, picnic, two playgrounds, and a 21 hole disc golf course. Come out and have some good Ole family fun in the sun. BE THE "I" IN UN QUE

Pretty. But if you’re kayaking solo it will get boring in about 5 min. I see they had a rental kayak service - maybe good for first timers - I have my own and eh. Otherwise calm atmosphere and well planned. Ladies! Bathroom door is always locked but for those fearless gals, the men’s is open. Maybe just have a lookout :/

👍👍 Great bike trails. Bikes go one direction hikers the opposite. It's kind of a hassle having to step off the trail to let the bikers go by but everyone was polite and there were no close calls.
