The park is so serene and tranquil. I came for a weekend and stayed for a month. I would love to stay longer. I’m happy coming “home” to my RV and my site. The office is well stocked, fishing stuff, snacks, and the staff is super helpful. It has been so nice, so refreshing. Having stayed in parks from the Keys (Key West), up to Ga, over to Texas, and am soon moving back to Florida, I can say this is top 3, maybe the overall best.

Beautiful, just don’t expect to sleep if you have rude campers nearby. My youngest children had never been camping before, so we chose this place in the hopes it would give them a good experience. The deer and the natural beauty are as wonderful as advertised. But the organization of the tent camping area is not great; tent sites are not marked, and there is no clear limit on tent capacity. A large group set up right next to us and deployed 7 tents in a relatively small area. The main reason we chose this campground (quiet time starting at 10 p.m.) was also woefully disappointing. There were two large groups, one of which was the one right next to us, who were extremely loud until well after 1 a.m. The other group even had a microphone and speaker system. Park staff were nowhere to be found. The noise started up again around 7 a.m. and so annoyed nearby campers that one elderly gentlemen emerged to make a loud “SHHHHH!” in their general direction. A somewhat sleepless night marred what might have been a lovely experience, so I doubt we’ll be back. There’s a lot of promise to be realized here if staff were more dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable experience for ALL campers.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with dignity and/or respect. We were asked to leave for having complained about the front office staff and barred for returning because we had personal issue with the staff, even though we spent a ton of money and were respectful of all park rules and guidelines. Our children were hurt out of this cat fight and I don’t care who you are that’s bad business. Beautiful park.

I love this place. There are many deer and they come up pretty close to you. Some of the shelters have their own fishing peirs. I just find the place very relaxing. They have a gated entrance and after 10pm it's quite time. No admittance after 10pm. This is our second year in coming here. My 2 sisters and I are going to made this our yearly get away.

Beautiful park, great fishing, and friendly staff. This is my 3rd time taking my dog to this place and he was ecstatic to be here. He could hardly contain his excitement when he realized where I was driving to, this is a utopia for him. It’s a great place to walk your dog and take them swimming if that’s their thing. Me and him go swimming in the reservoir almost every day when we visit. I wish I knew the staff member’s name, but thank you so much to the office lady who gave my dog a free treat, and thank you so much to the other office lady who gave me and him a golf cart ride back to the RV so we didn’t have to walk back in the heat. Thank you both for showing hospitality and showing my dog love, besides peanut butter and bacon, there’s nothing he loves more than his fellow humans and strangers giving him pets, cuddles, and hugs. The staff here are always happy to see my dog, my dog is always happy to see them, and I’m happy because everyone’s happy, and also because I’m at this massive beautiful campground with my massive beautiful baby.

Tent site #5 is great for fishing and you only have someone to the left of you. However, the tent pad is in the full sun until about 3:30 - 4:00 pm, so it hot most of the day! Tent site #4 has a few more trees. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the little store offers a little bit of everything. The park has added several more bathrooms for campers so that is a plus! The shelters are climate controlled and enclosed,so they have air conditioning. There is a playground near the shelters and tent sites! Enjoyed seeing the deer.

If you like hearing your neighbors compete over who can play hillbilly music the loudest, this is the place for you. RV sites are 20 feet apart but you might as well share a wall with people blasting music all night.

Such a nice park . Plenty camp sites for cabins, rv's, and tents. A swimming beach. Boat slip rentals. Lots fishing piers. You can get a premium RV site with your own pier and hot tub if you want. Extremely pleased. Large playground. Very well maintained. Several locations to put your boat in. On Lake Tawakoni. Super good fishing lake.Several large pavillions. Sorry I don't have pics of RV sites. Concrete pads backing up to water. Good family place. Owners steadily adding more and property is well maintained. Deer roaming all through park.

It feels like you step into another world and only 45 minutes from home! The staff is incredibly friendly. Deer EVERYWHERE!! This is my new favorite paradise for self care, escape and peace. Oh and from my RV spot I could literally step out the front door and throw a fishing line in the water. Perfect spot!! Thank you WPP!!!

Really nice relaxing place after it was fixed up. Cabins are amazing and relaxing! Fishing is great and they now have golf carts to rent for $70 which is a must have! So many deer to look at and feed. Office people are super nice and very helpful with any questions or concerns.

Spent out first camper vacation here with our three kiddos and two dogs! We got the water front pier and it was nice. A lot of fishing. There's a park and the swim beach has nice sand. While we can't afford to come here in the camper every weekend, we will definitely be doing day passes often. I recommend wind point park!

We stayed/are staying in one of the shelters. It's in a great area of the park. We are near the beach, for swimming, and the playground. We are also near the restrooms. The shelter has electricity, AC, and a running water spicket outside. Outside, we have a picnic table, BBQ pit, and fire ring, with four chairs. The cabins are spaced far enough apart to provide a little privacy for your group!! The restrooms are clean, and well maintained, ad well as the rest of the campground. We are definitely planning on a coming back!!

We did not stay overnight. We did a drive-through and will be planning a trip soon. They were very helpful in the store with our questions and looking for the next available date. There is plenty of lake access and restrooms. The rv sites look shady and roomy, some have piers of their own.

Had a great day just before Thanksgiving. Lots of deer and our boys were able to get them to eat out of their hands. Only one of our sons went fishing, but he caught 4 fish. They have a beach area that looked nice, although it was too cold to go swimming. Lots of restrooms spread around.

The big cabin had plenty of room for three adults and two children. We could have added two more children or one more adult. It was very clean. Employees came around often to check for trash, etc. Security was great. They didn't bother anyone, but they made you feel safe. The people in the office were friendly and funny. They actually seemed to like working there. Imagine that today! A great place to cookout, swim, hike, and just rest! Oh my goodness and the deer! There were countless deer that even got close to the two-year-old!

A wonderful park with a very devoted and kindly staff. The park is kept very clean from the lots, to the bathhouse, to the play grounds. A lot of deer roam the park and you can buy feed at the camp store. Speaking of the camp store their prices are fair for the convenience of not needing to run all the way into town. The fishing in and around the parks was fruitful while we were there. We even caught catfish on the bank behind our site (waterfront 11). If you follow them on Facebook they seem to be quite active about park conditions, Fire bans, and improvements to facilities. Definitely worth at least a weekend visit.

Lil fawn(s) triplets, twins and single Lil peeps!! And the lake is beautiful w boating more south of the park.

Amazing place to be with the family, my kids and I had a great time. Clean place with amazing camping, shelter sites. You won’t be bored because there is plenty of things you can do. We are coming back for my birthday. I just fell in love with this place. The only things you need is food, water to drink, basic cleaning supplies only if you are staying in shelter. Also great customer service, they have a store in there that you can buy things you need for camping.
