Outstanding Service! I have already recommended this place to several people. The food was fantastic, and in light of it being an "extremely short notice" engagement, I had superb catered trays (minus caterer)! Food is well seasoned with the right amount of flare and depth without sacrificing the true flavor of all elements. I can't wait until my husband and I to get the opportunity to visit the restaurant.

The look of the building is modern and appealing. They are playing R&B great vibe. What I had was the Pesto Pasta with Chicken - it was EXCELLENT. You must get the cornbread. I would stay away from the porkchop the flavor is all in the sauce not throughout the meat. The Jamaican Beef Patties are excellent. This would have been four stars but the customer service was not that great our server was not attentive

I am in love with this place! Everyone here was welcoming. The atmosphere is amazing with a great DJ! The staff was smiling and our waitress was the best. The mimosa flight was amazing! The food was cooked to perfection. You will not be disappointed with the portion size. The prices are fair, can’t complain. You will not be dissatisfied by eating here.

So me and my lovely wife were invited here by a dear friend (Marvin L). We had a FANTASTIC experience! The food was delicious (Giant Lamb Chop, forgot what my wife ordered) and the Drinks were also great and not watered down. We were drinking premium of course. 🥃 The whole vibe and ambience was on point. Unfortunately I had just missed meeting the owner. Maybe next time...

Loved this place! The food was soooooooo good. The atmosphere had the best vibe. The music selection was excellent. A great place for a date, a birthday celebration, or a night out with friends. Our waitress was so honest about what we should order and that was refreshing. Will definitely be coming back the next time I’m here.

Great African & African American fusion Restuarant. The drinks were tasty. My favorite dish was the greens and the well seasoned salmon. This place is a vibe. Plenty of seating and very picturesque for all the Instagram moments. We had s good time.

Came here for my sister's birthday. I'm always skeptical about trying new places. Turned out to be a good night the atmosphere was chill the food was great and their drink selection was decent. I ordered the stuffed salmon. Other on table orders the lobster and Mac that also looked good . The only reason I gave 4 stars after writing all these great things was the speed of the bartender. No lie when we first got here I probably spent 20 minutes waiting on my drink. Was definitely not thinking 4 stars then. I know we're not the only people there but I go out to dinner plenty and gone to busier places that move quicker. So I'm not sure if the bartender was new or maybe the place doesn't have enough bartenders but that is the reason for the 4 stars. Still recommend the place it was a new place for me and turned out good

First and last time at this restaurant. Maybe we just caught the restaurant on a bad day. The sound system was extremely loud, maybe they had a special event for new years eve and forgot to turn it back down? We ordered the brisket Benedict, the eggs were poached reasonably well, the brisket was very overcooked. The sausage had no flavor, nor did anything else. There was no salt or pepper on the tables to add any seasoning to the food. The restaurant charges premium prices for food that is worse than Denny's, louder than most clubs at 1 am, sticky tables, and for what I can only describe as the live action experience of reading the definition for pretentious. (Even more so than the last sentence) Our server was great, personable, attentive, but left quickly after using their checkout tablet thing, and I didn't have a chance to sign the check. I actually wanted to leave him a tip, as he was the only positive experience we had.

Hidden jewel in Garland. This was my first time visiting Pangea. Located in a nice area, easy to find. I arrived at 4pm, parking was a headache, however upon leaving I noticed they offer valet parking. I ordered the crab and shrimp dip as an appetizer, chicken fried rice and stuffed salmon for dinner. I don't remember the name the drink I attached, I believe The Old Timer, not sure. I also ordered The frozen flight. Cocktails were awesome, fried rice was really flavorful the shrimp, crab spinach dip and filling for the stuffed salmon tasted similar but very delicious. Our waiter was beyond awesome he and another gentleman tagged team and made sure we were taken care of. If you like diversity, great music and well balanced cocktails this is your place.

The atmosphere was elegant ✨ and food was very delicious 👌🏼 but this is pretty much fine dining guys. We called 1 appetizer, 2 entree, with tax and 18% tips and our bill was $112. If you’re looking for fine dining then I recommend this place :)

This was a first time visit and recommendation from my brother in-law. I give this establishment an easy five stars. The restaurant has wonderful ambience with indoor and outdoor seating. There is even a cigar lounge, for those interested. The restaurant is spacious. The staff is very hospitable and courteous. Customer service is A1. The menu has a great variety, and the food came out quick. I have no complaints. I already started telling my friends about it. Check it out. It will be satisfaction guaranteed.

Great food, great service. Price are too high in comparison to upscale restaurants. $38 for a simple plate without any sides is way too overpriced.

My wife and I went on a Wednesday night and they had a live band and the vibe was nice. The food and drinks on the other hand were not like our previous visits. I don't know if a different chef was on duty but the food was very salty and the drinks were not fantastic as they were before.

Overall my experience was great! My party (4) went on a Friday night and it was busy and it appeared to be understaffed with our sever having half the tables. Atmosphere wise it was black excellence! Food overall wasn’t worth the price! I had the stuffed salmon, the cream cheese was dried out with the spinach. I asked for more lemon butter sauce in order to enjoy it. My partner had the pan seared salmon and that was juicer and tasted better. Loaded Potato Purée lacked seasoning, 5 cheese Mac & cheese tasted as though it had goat cheese and that is not my favorite so I couldn’t finish it. Now my favorite was Not Your Mamas Greens it reminded me of my African culture and tasted like how my family makes it. Corn bread tasted more like pound cake, but my party loved it. Shrimp and Chicken Pasta the best pasta I have tasted, chicken was dry but I would order that again. I would comeback for brunch because I have heard that it is also good. Margarita flight I wasn’t informed of all the types but I only liked one. I appreciate the experience. Parking is valet. Patio seating is opening unless it is brunch and they stated they do seating for brunch or it gets really busy. Birthday you receive a complimentary mini skillet brookie.

The food was excellent! Our server, Cinnamon, was great. The environment was modern. The only problem that we had was that the music was far too loud. We went for brunch and got mimosas. I loved that they served the orange juice and champagne separately so you can mix it yourself. It is located in an apartment complex which was interesting.

I’ve visited here four times. I’ve hesitated in making a review bc I want to get a better experience. But each time it’s a disappoint. The food is ok but the customer service is always slow. My last visit there it seemed like everyone was complaining. They have live music in Saturdays for brunch and they have live music during the week. I think on Wednesdays. Parking is limited. This restaurant shares space with an apartment complex.

Follow my food instagram @dtxfood_diaries for detailed food reviews of restaurants in Dallas! :) Pangea📍 ~ WHAT WE ORDERED ~ - Fried Calamari ($12) - Lobster Mac & Cheese ($38) - Texas Red Fish ($32) ~ REVIEW ~ - Pangea is primarily a seafood restaurant with some American food offerings. It is located in Garland, TX. Fun fact - the owner of this restaurant is a culinary professional that won a food network show called Beat Bobby Flay! This was my second time coming to this restaurant, and the food was just as amazing! For appetizers, we got the fried calamari. The calamari was well-seasoned and came with lemon aioli & marinara sauce. I really enjoyed this dish! As for my entree, I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese. This was hands down the best Mac & Cheese that I’ve ever had. It was so savory and full of flavor. The cheese wasn’t super heavy so you won’t get full really fast which is nice. The Mac and Cheese came with a 4 oz lobster tail. The lobster tasted amazing🙌🏽 I also got to try some of the Texas Red Fish. The fish came with a sauce that complimented the fish nicely and made all the flavors come together. This restaurant is always busy on the weekends so I would recommend that you make a reservation to be guaranteed a table inside the restaurant. I came here during Halloween weekend, and they had a DJ and a photographer going around taking pics that you could purchase. The DJ played great music all throughout the night. As for their service, it took about 45 minutes to get our dinner since they appeared short-staffed. That was my only complaint. Other than that, I really enjoyed grabbing dinner here, and this is a restaurant that I most certainly will come back to. You should definitely check this place out!! ~ RATING: 11/10✨ ~

It was a nice environment with a band the all the food was awesome. I had a nice time celebrating with friends and family. The lamb chops was exquisite. The drinks were strong and nice pricing for happy hour. Different type of taste for the collard greens. Our waiter was great explaining our choices. Downfall the bathrooms were gross and not maintenance. Definitely will be back

The food and service were really great. I came after hearing all the rave and they didn’t disappoint. The drinks were great and the space is beautifully decorated. They also have valet parking. I’ll be back again.

My second time here love the vibe- great music, customer service was great this time (last time our waitress was friendly but slowwww)slow www, and the food was seasoned perfectly- You can't go wrong with the Pesto Pasta. My friend had the Shrimp and Grits and it was the best I have tasted

Great atmosphere. Great service. Ok food. I wasn't sure if my pork chops were supposed to be raw in the middle. I know i should have told the waiter but it was late in the afternoon and i had to go somewhere. I just took it home and refried it.

If I could give it more stars.. I would! The food was beyond amazing! It was so good I asked to meet the chef! Chef T did her thing! I loved everything, the appetizer, the drinks, entree, and dessert! Can’t wait to go back! Would definitely recommend! The atmosphere and music was great! Overall service and experience was top tier!

Went for a sister meet up, our server was cool and gave us good recommendations. The drinks were good. The spicy shrimp appetizer was good. The bacon wrapped shrimp was super salty. Pork chop was extra thick and could use more seasoning. The Brussel sprouts were good. We had the margarita flight which all were pretty good the rose' was an acquired taste but the rest were really good. Menu items were pretty pricey and it took over an hour to get our food. Granted it was Saturday around 4 so a long wait is expected. But I'd come back in the future.

I've had the lamb shanks and Mac and cheese and it was delicious. I recently went for brunch and had the short ribs and eggs and it was so good! I also had a did of pancakes which left a lot to be desired, they weren't fluffy enough for me, very flat, but the flavor was good. Overall: The food is great, vibes are immaculate and service is always on point! It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Always a delight dining at this high-energy establishment in North Garland. Great food, wonderful professional service, and soul music are on point. Pangea is one of my favorites for Sunday brunch. Make sure you make reservations! Parking can sometimes be challenging but use the valet. Two patios are available. One in the front and the other in the rear of the restaurant. Great for large group gatherings. Missing from this establishment is live music and a cigar lounge. Order the breakfast hash with brisket, potatoes, and egg. Also, try their homemade strawberry pop-tart. It is so delicious!
