Due
to
the
absolute
dismal
experience
my
family
and
I
had
with
End
Zone
Bar
and
Grill
in
Plano,
I
sadly
feel
as
if
my
hand
is
forced
to
write
this
review.
Being
a
full
time
dental
student,
I
traveled
in
from
out
of
town
to
spend
some
rare
quality
time
with
my
family.
Looking
for
some
fun
on
the
4th
of
July,
and
in
honor
of
Nathan’s
National
Hot
Dog
Eating
Competition,
I
thought
it
would
be
fun
to
call
around
to
some
local
spots
to
find
a
fun
food
eating
competition
to
take
my
family
and
friends
to.
After
calling
around
to
several
places,
we
settled
on
End
Zone
Bar
and
Grill’s
Waffenburger
challenge.
Having
seen
some
of
my
favorite
YouTubers
take
on
the
challenge
in
the
past
and
being
listed
on
their
website,
I
was
more
than
excited
to
try
it
for
myself.
Unable
to
reach
the
staff
through
their
online
google
chat
service
(despite
my
messages
having
been
marked
as
read),
I
decided
to
call
ahead
and
confirm
all
the
details
with
one
of
the
members
on
staff
prior
to
making
the
trek
out.
To
be
sure
I
had
a
complete
understanding
of
the
rules
and
expectations,
I
even
had
a
second
person
call
ahead
(several
hours
after
me)
to
confirm
the
details
once
again.
I
shared
the
upcoming
challenge
with
my
friends
and
family
and
many
of
them,
myself
included,
drove
over
half
an
hour
to
attend
the
attempt.
Unfortunately,
after
being
seated
in
a
pretty
much
vacant
(now
I
know
why)
and
dimly
lit
bar.
We
were
told
by
our
waiter,
who
was
having
to
double
as
the
bartender,
that
they
would
no
longer
honor
the
challenge.
When
I
questioned
why,
the
waiter/bartender
stated
that
contrary
to
what
is
stated
on
their
website,
on
their
menu,
and
by
members
of
the
same
staff
earlier
in
the
day,
the
challenge
had
been
discontinued.
Incredibly
disappointed
and
embarrassed
after
having
had
several
people
drive
so
far
to
witness
my
attempt,
I
asked
if
they
could
at
least
make
the
sandwich
so
I
could
at
least
try
to
appease
my
friends
and
have
the
bragging
rights
alone.
The
waiter
happily
complied
and
took
everyone’s
order,
including
mine,
to
the
back.
We
sipped
on
a
few
beers
and
tried
to
reestablish
our
moral
over
the
course
of
15-20
minutes
while
we
waited
for
our
food.
After
this
time
had
passed
the
waiter/bartender
approached
our
table
and
shared
with
us
that
the
kitchen
staff
was
refusing
to
make
my
order,
as
the
challenge
had
been
discontinued.
I
reinforced
that
I
understood
that
the
challenge
had
been
discontinued,
but
that
I
just
wanted
to
try
it
for
my
own
pleasure.
He
stated
that
it
did
not
matter
and
that
the
kitchen
staff
would
still
not
make
it.
Confused,
as
the
challenge
simply
consists
of
three
servings
of
an
item
that
is
still
active
on
the
menu
(a
single
waffenburger),
he
said
there
was
nothing
he
could
do,
and
that
the
staff
was
(for
some
reason)
so
frustrated
that
we
couldn’t
even
order
the
single
menu
item
three
times
and
assemble
it
ourselves.
When
I
asked
to
speak
to
a
manager
or
someone
from
the
kitchen
staff,
I
was
told
no
one
would
come
out
to
speak
with
me,
even
though
my
party
and
I
had
already
driven
so
far
and
waited
an
extensive
amount
of
time
for
our
food.
The
waiter
then
shared
his
apologies
and
insisted
that
many
of
his
coworkers
and
managers
were
known
to
be
incompetent,
ignorant,
irritating,
and
unwilling
to
work
or
accommodate
customers/others
on
staff.
While
I
certainly
would
agree,
it
is
incredibly
concerning
and
telling
when
an
establishment’s
staff
thinks
this
of
their
own
coworkers,
managers,
and
employees
as
well.
Leaving
incredibly
tired,
hungry,
disappointed,
frustrated,
and
with
no
sort
of
discount
on
the
few
drinks
we
sipped
on
while
we
waited
for
our
food
which
was
never
seen,
it’s
safe
to
say
our
experience
with
End
Zone
Bar
and
Grill
in
Plano
ruined
our
4th
of
July
holiday
and
one
of
the
few
nights
a
year
I
get
to
spend
with
my
family
and
friends.
Stay
away!
