Couldn’t recommend this spot more if you are looking to enjoy a summer night. Fantastic views from the rooftop bar. It is all walk in for the rooftop so keep that in mind that on a busy night you may not be able to snag a table. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails. I’d recommend the mango margarita which you can get with a swirl of the house sangria! The wood fired pizza is truly mouth melting and they’ve got some really great appetizer selections as well! Easy 5 stars from me!

Very busy for a weekend walk in. About 45 mins wait. Very friendly service. Got the special edition burnt ends pizza which was amazing and apple pie which paired great with the ice cream. The pizza crust was nothing special. The toppings were fresh and yummy. Great to check out if you're in the area

Great pizza with a fun atmosphere and excellent service. I chose the wrong pizza, I got the something amore something, but the crust and prosciutto were very good. The pizzas the rest of my party chose were delicious! The tiramisu was tasty, but too strong with rum for me.

August 2023 - Return visit one year later after our last review. We have loved Urban Crust for years! In fact, our daughter's rehearsal dinner (The eve before her wedding) was here at the Urban Crust! Allan & I were in the area yesterday, so we decided to lunch at Urban Crust once we were finished at the Plano Municipal Court, (Yes, I received a citation for breaking the law - Watch for my review on the the Plano Municipal Court). The Lunch Special costs $13.99 and includes a personal size pizza, Caesar salad or soup, and a drink. I ordered a pepperoni personal pizza, and Allan ordered Italian sausage. Immediately, our server placed a basket of freshly hot pizza bread, a dish of Olive relish, and Italian tomato dipping oil, which is perfection in flavors of authentic Italian! Oh, such goodness, I dipped and dipped! The side Ceasar Salad came out, and true to everything at Urban Crust, it was plentiful and fantastic. I took half of it home b/c of the generous portion. My personal pizza arrived, and it had soooo much pepperoni on it, I had to set aside half of the pepperoni! THE CHEESE! The cheese is unique perfection, and Chef told me they MAKE the cheese IN-house with ingredients flown in from Italy! I haven't tasted cheese like this for a year. Outstanding! I took home 1/2 o my personal size pizza and threw the "over abundant" pepperoni on top. My server included a "To-go" olives & tomato dippings, mmmmm! Even though I couldn't eat but half of my lunch, I can always manage a few bites of Crème Brûlée! Right? Allan and I ordered a shared dessert cup and were thrilled when this beautiful, little dish of Crème Brûlée topped with sliced strawberries was placed between us. It was lovely! The Crème has a hint of vanilla beans and is a perfect dessert topped with fresh fruit. A wonderful way to end a lovely lunch, in a FAV restaurant in vintage, downtown Plano. Next time, we'll go upstairs to the nighttime MAGICAL ROOM with a view! Stay tuned. Check out my photos below. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everything about Urban Crust is outstanding! The food, the atmosphere, the service! Allan & I each ordered a 12" pizza, (Just to have leftovers). We ordered a bottle of Moda but sadly they were out of Moda. However, we very much enjoyed the Gabbiano Chianti. Chris brought us a basket of fresh hot bread and a divided tray of marinara sauce and minced olives sitting in Urban Crust Olive Oil. This complementary starter is sooo good, we ordered a pint of each to go, as well as a bottle of OO. ($12 ea/$14) Our pizza's arrived quickly. We love Urban Crust's fresh grated parmesean b/c it is like no other parmesean! In fact, we never add parmesean anywhere else. Allan is a meat-eater so he was thrilled at the generous amount of medallion sized sirloin. The mozzarella is flown in from Italy and one can immediatelytell it is different from all the others. Allan wanted to order a caprese with burrata, but I knew it was too much food. However, I do regret not ordering it "to go". We boxed half of our pizzas and ordered the fresh, made in-house Tiramisu. What can I say but the first bite was heaven! Note: Next visit will be upstairs where we can watch the sunset and dine by the Ice Bar. The Ice Bar is absolutely beautiful and I promise to follow up with post from "The Urban Crust Part 2, Upstairs". It is amazingly beautiful but please, go experience it for yourself! Thanks Chris for your phenomenal service! And, guess what we're having for dinner tonight! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a nice place with a rooftop view. Perfect place for pizzas and a Bloody Mary to recover from a hangover. Their bread and olives dips are the most amazing thing as a complimentary app. I would absolutely come back just for that dip. Their thin crust pizzas was also delicious and fulfilling. Services was great and no complaints. Great place to be with friends and family.

This is a top tier wood fired pizza restaurant in North Texas. Perfectly located in the middle of Downtown Plano, Urban crust spans over 3 floors with a bar and patio on the 3rd floor. Our all time favorite is the Urban Amore pizza which is a great balance between sweet and salty. Their monthly specials are also quite good. The best part however is the complimentary bread you get with olive tapenade and marinara sauce. Service is great, however I suggest getting on the wait list before you leave your house as wait times can exceed an hour on most nights.

10/10 Recommend! Chill atmosphere, phenomenal pizza and drinks! Kristoph has taken great care of me in the bar, will make sure you enjoy your drink even if you’re unsure of what to order. He has a great personality, best bar service i’ve ever experienced.

Really great date night! This place is 3 stories. The first two are the restaurant indoor dining. The 3rd floor is a rooftop patio and bar. Even though it was enclosed it was still pretty chilly tonight so we opted to eat inside. Food was phenomenal, definitely try the Buffalina appetizer.

My wife and I ate here for the first time yesterday. We sat on the ground level because it wasn't too crowded, it was nice and quiet. Nice atmosphere, great waitress, very attentive and personable. While we were waiting, we heard someone from the back make retching sounds. It sounded like it was coming from the kitchen. Not really pleasant sounds to hear from the area our food was being cooked. My wife looked at me, and I said don't worry, probably just the staff having fun. My wife ordered the four cheese pizza and a hibiscus mule. I ordered a Moziac IPA and a margherita pizza. Our waitress brought out bread with two sides for dipping, all very good. The drinks were great and good portions. The pizza was fantastic. Really good. The next day I was excited to eat left overs. I heated up a piece of pizza, and about two bits in, got to what I thought must be a piece of artichoke that was too tough to chew. I spit it out and saw that it was a large piece of plastic. About 1 inch by 1 inch. I saw that it had been covered by cheese and in the photo you can see that when it came out of the pizza there was an outline left. Hopefully it was just an honest mistake. I'd hate to think that someone thought this would be funny. If it wasn't for the retching sounds I'd have been more likely to think it was just a mistake. But, it does make me wonder if someone did it on purpose. Other than that, we really liked the place and the food. So hopefully management looks into this and takes appropriate action. It it wasn't for these two incidences I'd have given all 5 stars.

We made a custom order that included prosciutto di parma, goat cheese, arugula, and Italian sausage, and it was absolutely delicious! Also we couldn’t get enough of the pizza crust (with the two sauces) that they brought as starters!

Sunday 730 dinner, 4 adults. It's a small building and feels really crowded, with tables practically on top of one another. We had an inexperienced server who made several trips to the table while forgetting various items. The appetizer bread was mostly good though burned in places, and we didn't really get enough for all of us. The sauces with it were very good though. It took a while to get our order in, but not quite to the level of being unacceptable. Two people shared the fig, prosciutto, and goat cheese pizza, and they seemed pretty pleased with it. Another had the pasta al forno, which she really liked. I had the F-chicken, which I had mixed feelings about. The vegetables and polenta were excellent, but the chicken itself was very dry, in spite of being stuffed with spinach and goat cheese. The flavor wasn't really the best combination, and only had a couple small bits of tomato, which had there been more of might have elevated the flavor some. I guess for me at least, I leaned my lesson about ordering something other than pizza at a pizza place. I'll probably try it again and stick with the namesake dish.

Our first time trying this restaurant. We really enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The food, the service, and the ambience was great. Our server Jaxson was awesome with suggesting some of his favorite menu items. I loved that the staff was so helpful and welcoming. I also liked the decor and the open kitchen concept. You can watch them preparing the pizza, that was fun. We will definitely be back to try more menu items and the rooftop bar located on the 3rd floor of the restaurant.🥰👍

Delicious! The wood fired pizza is so yummy! Keep in mind, it's Italian style, and there's very little red sauce applied. The sauce is very flavorful! I highly recommend the fire roasted chicken in the pizza! District 7 Cabernet, which was recommended by our waitress was very good as well. Sydney, our server was very personable and very knowledgeable of the menu. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the cleanliness. It was near their closing time, but the booth seat was covered in crumbs and I had to clean it off prior to sitting and the cloth napkins were still wet. But still a repeat in my opinion.

We have had our eye on visiting this place for about 6 months. We decided this was going to be our super as we returned home to Kansas. We lucked out that it was less than a mile from our hotel room. It is located in such a quaint little downtown area of Plano. Parking was right out front as we got there early. The place is very nice looking from the outside through the inside. Lauren was our server and she was phenomenal in all areas of service. We really enjoyed getting some local information about two other sister restaurants that Urban Crust owns. By the way, she also works a second job at the Tex-Mex sister restaurant. Very knowledgeable young lady. Lauren brought us bread strips and dipping sauces. One was tomato relish and the other was olive tapenade. Both were so fresh and flavorful. We ordered the original pizza with Jimmy's Italian sausage, roasted mushrooms and caramelized onions. Lauren brought a block of parmesan over and grated it fresh on our pizza. It was all amazing.

I visited for lunch and order the monthly special hatch pizza! It was amazing - the crust was crispy outside and soft inside just like you want from the brick oven cooking! The steak, hatch and onions really created a great flavor for this specialty! I also loved to appetizer olive tapenade with the pizza crusts. The atmosphere and decor were also super cool! I will definitely visit here again!

I was so impressed I don't even know where to start. The building the restaurant is in is absolutely beautiful, three stories of amazing architecture. Our server was incredibly attentive and a pleasure to interact with. We ordered sangria and its the best I've ever had. It was sweet but not too sweet, again another win. The star of the show arrived in 3 different pizzas we had to try. We chose the gluten free black and bleu, a sausage with fresh garlic and the margarita pizza. The crust was already previewed in their complimentary crust bites, so we already knew we were in for a treat. Wow!!! This is the best pizza in town by a mile. We are fans!! Lastly, I want to mention we had someone senior with us. So we had to get the elevator up to the bathroom and everyone we interacted with along the way was extremely kind. Kudos to all the staff, just when I thought customer service was dead! In summary, my entire experience was exceptional, and we can't wait to come back and check out the rooftop bar!!

We were able to sit rooftop, the 3rd floor, during sunset so the views were very nice. I had the al forno with chicken (baked pasta and cheese) and my guest had their pizza with sausage and spinach. Both of us very very pleased, he even enjoyed his wine commenting it was a good quality. The crust is thin, with those characteristic oven baked bubbles and yummy burn spots. Very nice evening.

I am currently sitting at this restaurant and honestly I'm not impressed...we have been waiting longer than we should to even get the server. They have one waiter, poor Noel has to service all of the tables. We ordered the black and Bleu pizza and it came out before our drinks but it was very tasty. The restaurant was pretty clean. The very top bar was cold so we sat on the first level. I ordered the monthly special cucumber drink. I do not recommend it.

We came in on a busy night, Plano's 150th, but we were seated right away- not rooftop but I hope to one day soon. We had their once a year special, squash blossom & zucchini pizza, a very tasty chance to take on a 🍕! We will definitely be back, and can hopefully sit rooftop next go round! Oh and we sat near where the pizzas were being made, the crew made it look fun, which I'm sure influences taste!

Been a regular here for about 2 years and I can say that the food and the atmosphere are one of the best in Plano. Their food can be a bit inconsistent especially if they’re busy, but you have to cut them some slack due to the amount of customers they have. I love their calamari, Quattro formmagi, and their shrimp linguini. Don’t be afraid to go up to the 3rd floor if it’s a nice day. The sunset is to die for up there :D

Not your ordinary pizza place!! We came here because we were craving for wood fired brick oven pizza and found this place on google. The place is small and 1st floor dining can only accommodate limited groups so be sure to call to reserve a table. Our server, Brett was very attentive and super friendly. The pizzas we ordered were amazing and Urban Amore tasted unique so we were glad we ordered that. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back and recommend!

This restaurant has an urban industrial feel. We remained on the first floor but they have an upstairs patio bar as well. They had just concluded the Sunday brunch hours when we arrived. The host staff was professional but not overly friendly. Our server however was very friendly and several other staff/managers stopped by to check on us. Very attentive staff. Our table faces the pizza cook station and we could watch the guys tossing and stretching the dough for orders. That was entertaining. There were three TV's visible with sports programs (muted) and music playing. The food options for me are always an issue as I am allergic to all mammal products. I found a salad and pizza(vegan mozzarella) that suited and placed the order. The server brought out bread with an olive tapenade and salsa dipping sauce. The bread was pizza dough without any toppings sliced into strips. Between the bread, salad(shared) and the 12" pizza we were stuffed. We brought two pieces home.

Great service, decent pizza. The staff at the rooftop bar was super friendly; the music was blasting, so don’t expect to have a conversation with anyone unless you’re yelling at them. The Urban Amore pizza wasn’t bad, but nothing to rave about either. It’s got waaay too much cheese on it, and I think they overcooked it some. I may come back and try something else, but IDK.

Stop everything and GO! This is hands down the most delicious pizza AND crust I recall having in the last several years. The Bleu cheese fries were sinful and delicious. The atmosphere is rustic, vintage, old school or whatever cool word is hip these days, and patrons can watch pizzas being fired in the large brick oven. There's a 2nd level and rooftop seating, but apparently it can all be full with very long wait times if you go during busy hours. I went at 6pm on a Wednesday and did not have a wait, but by the time I was leaving, people were having to wait at least a few minutes. I'll definitely be going back with my family and friends!!
