Dos Banderas is located on the old historic main Street in downtown Garland, Texas many buildings in the area built in the late 1800's. This Tex-Mex restaurant is well maintained and everyone was very nice and welcoming. The food was very good and came out very quick and was hot and fresh. The sweet tea was great as well. It was a nice touch as well for the owner to come out and make it a point to check on everyone and greet them personally. They have several televisions in the restaurant to help keep their patrons entertained. I would definitely recommend giving Dos Banderas a try. The wait staff did a great job and it was a very good experience.

So today was their first day doing brunch and it wasn't bad. Being their first day I must day they did pretty good. Over time it will get alot better but will just take some time to work through all the little things that other restaurants have figured out. The food was delicious but was a little on the cold side. But that wasn't a big deal and I think it was just because they were figuring out the new breakfast crowd. Now if you do go here which I definitely recommend, you absolutely must get the queso. It was superb and that days alot from me because I'm picky when it comes to queso. We will definitely be coming back again.

We came here for trivia night done by the Garland central library, it was a lot of fun! We were seated at the bar, was a little tight due to many people attending this event, with only 2 servers getting all the orders they did a great job at getting everyone served. Overall if there's another event here we will definitely attend. Food was good, great service and the place was clean.

Really good food!! The salsa has a great taste but it could use a little more heat. I love spicy salsa. This is my 2nd time hear & I enjoyed it both times. The only problem was that my DIL wanted a Chili rellano & it was her birthday lunch & after she ordered it, the lady came & told her that they were out of them. The ice tea has been fresh both times as well!!! Definitely recommend this place.

Stopped by for an early dinner. I ordered the tortilla soup and sour cream chicken nachos. My hubs ordered the cheese enchiladas. They also offered chip and salsa that we enjoyed. Service was pleasant and prompt. I enjoyed the soup and he enjoyed his plate. I wasn’t “blown away” by the nachos but they were still good. We’ll have to stop back in again and explore the menu. Just wanted to stop in and try it since we’re local!

The manager and staff are excellent and friendly. Food is traditional Tex-Mex and they don’t mind making it the way you want it. A new menu is coming soon with a ton of cross-culture options. And you can get the margaritas to go!

Large, bright local TexMex cafe with friendly staff and big portions. Homestyle guacamole, tacos and tortilla soup, all freshly made. Yummy and light quesadillas. Great Bandera and Fajitas salads, tried both with chicken on top. Very tasty.

Had the Fajita Burrito with beef which came with rice and beans. Insider tip, get a shot of Grand Marnier in your margarita(s).

Fish tacos, queso blanco, brisket quesadilla, house rocks rita and tres leches cake. Service, atmosphere and food all were great. We will return.

Overall the food was alright… The environment was clean and the staff was very kind. The chips and salsa were good but it was not spicy. The chips are crispy and thin. The food prices are reasonable. I ordered the chicken enchiladas that came with rice and refried beans. The shredded chicken had a good flavor but the beans and rice need some work. The beans do not taste refried and the rice lacks flavor.

One of our favorite restaurants. The house margaritas are amazing! Love the chimichangas! The Elotes Bites weren’t what we expected. They’re sweet and had a chili flavor (wouldn’t order again). Note: just get rid of the salad no one eats it.

What a charming place with great atmosphere and an even better/nicer staff! Every staff member was super attentive, my tea glass was never empty my entire meal. Additionally, such an extensive menu which left me asking our amazing waitress, Becca, what her recommendation was between 3 different options. The food was really great, fresh, and I really wish I hadn’t filled up on chips or I would have finished it all! All in all, not one complaint and, even though I don’t live in Garland (I was with my family who does), I hope to be back soon to try the other 2 entrees I didn’t get to order! Also, thanks again Becca for the great service, banter, and recommendations!

In less than 30 minutes being in this place I am already impressed. The amount of care the staff exudes is genuine and not something you often fine. The server who brought my food was concerned at how it appeared to her and asked if I wanted it remade. I declined and tried it anyway, it was perfect. On top of that we noticed the care they gave to another patron which is difficult to describe because her situation is not ours to tell, but this place is absolute amazing and will be getting our repeated business.

Location is in old downtown Garland and is in a solid location for respecting the history of Garland. There’s construction going on, so parking is kind of tricky. Service was awesome! My man knew the menu and had solid recommendations. When you are in the Metroplex, you will be surrounded by a huge variety of Mexican restaurants. Only a few can stand out. When in Garland…go here! Food was really good! Margaritas…meh. Heavy on the tequila..but..still solid!

Love love love this restaurant! Staff is super friendly! Food is delicious! Atmosphere is comfortable and clean! Loaded queso is a must. I get ground beef enchiladas and ask for the poblano sauce (it’s really soup!) on top. Veggie options are flavorful. Chips are hot and fresh. Salsa is on point. This place is a must!

Ever since we learned that new owners had taken over the business, we have been hearing great things. I am on a low carb diet, so I have to be very careful about what I order. Last night I ordered a Chicken Fajita Bowl with special instructions as to the extra toppings I wanted in it. When I picked up my order to take home and enjoy I discovered that the take out box had more food then you can get in a burrito bowl at Chipotle. They also sent a bag of chips and salsa which I was not expecting for a pick up order. I have a swallowing problem because of my Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy so I have to puree most of my food including this wonderful meal. It was exactly what I was expecting and it had all the important vegetables and protein that I need for my diet. My son and I both enjoyed the chips and salsa. Lots of flavors. I will order from here instead of Chipotle again.

Wonderful service and fun atmosphere. Great bartenders who go above and beyond to make your drink perfect for your taste. Our plates were almost room temp.

It was a little odd walking in here alone as a college student with a backpack on (I’m sure it also startled the employees), but I enjoyed my time and meal at Dos Banderas when I walked around downtown Garland one day last November. I decided to try the “Bandera Sampler,” which came with a diverse variety of dishes. They all tasted quite well, and the total price was much lower than my expectations ($16.24). The employees brought great service, too, so I’d gladly return!

It was really good. I also really liked the iced tea. My BF got the chicken with a poblano cream sauce with mushrooms. I got a chicken fajita burrito with sour cream sauce on the side! The chips and salsa were fresh and good. We went on Dia De Los Muertos Festival. The Ranger Game was playing and we had a nice view! We will definitely be back soon!! 🌯 🌮🌶️
