I think it's a different owner but the food is pretty good. The dim sum dishes are good...

I think I just found a good spot for dimsum in DFW area. The outside of the restaurant is a little old, but the inside is very new and nice. They have lots of tables so you don't have to wait too long on Sundays. Staffs are very friendly. I love it here because they do the traditional way of serving dimsum, some ladies were pushing the cart around and you can choose whatever you want. The food is amazing! The shrimp har gow and shumai are made from fresh shrimp, very tasty.

First and last time here. We were excited to try this place out, too. Food was just okay (not the best dim sum around) and they made the mistake of kicking us out rudely after we have been there for only ONE hour, and wanted to charge us to stay and finish our food. He started cleaning up abruptly and repeatedly yelling at us to leave saying two hour only. We have been there for only ONE hour. 1 (ONE)! Hour Only. I understand it’s Mother’s Day and they are busy, but to rudely and mistakenly kick us out early without an apology? He shoved my nieces iPad in my face to take and go away. He kept hollering at us and I kept telling him he’s mistaken and it was getting ridiculous. The guy ended up “maybe” realizing he made the mistake and frustratingly said okay then walked off, with NO apology, NO acknowledgement that he had done anything wrong. Very disappointed and ruined the experience for us. This guy right here 😡 If you cannot handle the holiday rush or anytime the restaurant is busy, then he should find another job. Management needs to RE-evaluate his employment. Check your cameras to see that we sat down at about 10:34am. I know because I sent my sister the location as we walked to the table at that time. It took maybe 10-15 minutes for carts to come to our table and they never came by to refill our drinks. We didn’t complain and just enjoying the day. Then about an hour later, this happened. This guy out of nowhere came and ruined our experience. We were finishing up and getting ready to leave anyway, much under 2 hours that he was going crazy over. So so disappointing.

Seated promptly when I got here. Everyone was very attentive. The dim sum was pretty good here. Chicken feet were flavorful and delicious.

Got the number 1 special combination with meatballs and it came out quick, hot and had all the meats. Absolutely what I wanted and needed for dinner tonight. We will absolutely be going back!

After going to Kirin Court for dimsum and it was a disaster. This place is a Gem. It don’t look so nice in the outside but the inside is renovated and very nice. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. It was both good service and great food. This will be a our go to place to eat for Dimsum…. Definitely recommend this place because you won’t be disappointed.

Our first dim sum experience with rolling carts since Covid. Not many carts - just a few that had tons of selections. We arrived at 11:15 on a Sunday so it was still early. We are used to waiting in long lines for dim sum on a Sunday but there were no lines here. We had a party of 8. Plenty of tables around us that never filled up. The char siu pork Bao barely had any filling. The soy sauce jar was dirty and sticky. Food came out quickly but nothing was very hot. Everything was luke warm as if sitting on cart a long time. The serving sizes were good. However, nothing wowed us. Overall, we had a nice lunch. May give it another chance. Great place for dim sum if you want to avoid crowds.

While visiting Dallas for a long weekend we decided we would look for dim sum since we don't really have places back home like we found in Denver, CO. I'm glad we chose Garden Restaurant. It was exactly what I was hoping for from start to finish. Service good and the food was even better. I ordered 1 dish from the menu while the rest we got from the carts that came around. Shrimp dumplings, mixed meat dumplings, shrimp fried balls, tripe, tendon, pork ribs, and a BBQ pork rolled in a noodle. If I was local I'd definitely return.

Its been there for years and always miss it. Right next to New Truong Nguyen grocery store. They offer dim sum all day and are open till 11pm. They have dishes off on their menu in addition to the dim sum. Prices are reasonable and food is pretty good.

Edit Below The food was very good. We ordered 15 dishes and 10 additional dim sum plates. All the food was out hot and ready to eat in 10 to 15 minutes. The service was good (For a Chinese restaurant). The establishment was also clean and there was no wait to dine in. Edit*the previous review was pre-covid Since COVID this restaurant has changed. I wanted to update my review. Most items are the same, some of the food has gone down in overall quality.

One of the few authentic Cantonese Chinese restaurants on the Dallas side of the Metroplex. Garden is a family favorite where we go to regular dinners, celebrate birthdays, and generally any other special occasions due to the fact that the owners and staff are very nice and there are large tables for big parties. My personal favorites are the Crispy Shrimp Fried Rice (a special combo that the chef owner created) and the Dim Sum.

Wow, this is a great place to go for some dim sum. Went on a weekend for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. The waiters and service were friendly and the food was brought out promptly. Definitely get the classics like the siu mai and har gow. Come here for some great dim sum!

In a word.... WOW, amazing flavors and great portions. I had the opportunity to eat the Mongolian Beef for lunch today and what a delight it was to experience such robust seasoning and tender beef. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good. I was amazed by the amount of food you receive for the lunch special, literally a full entre and full pot of rice. Another perk is that they offer several hot tea options; I had the Jasmine tea. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Garden Restaurant.

The prices were incredibly affordable for dim sum. The average come out to just $12 per person for my group, but the food quality was awful. First off, many of the items came out cold as opposed to being hot like they were freshly cooked. The beef tripe was extremally chewy when it is usually tender. The ham sui gok and beef tendon were excessively oily. The other dim sum items were average at best. I'll possibly give them another chance since they also serve non dim sum items.

Ended up here via family when in Dallas (or Garland to be exact). Apparently this is a go to spot for them so we let them do the ordering. I was a little iffy based on ratings and by looks of the place. We walked in at luckily not a busy time on a Saturday afternoon. (I did my homework with reviews and most negatives were related to service so... still promising?) To add to the ambiance there was a 20 person party of gentlemen drinking beer and whisky, cheers-ing, singing in another language, obviously celebrating something... or who knows - maybe just having fun at dim sum. Much to my surprise everything was tasty but wanted to shout out to my faves: Eggplant w/ shrimp - speaking to the eggplant in general - you always make me ponder at how to cook you. I always feel you're hard and then all the sudden soggy and mushy and hard to tear a bite off. This place had you down. Back to not speaking to a vegetable lol - I've never had an eggplant with a perfect medium cooked consistency that you could bite easily and eat until this day. And the shrimp in the middle of the eggplant bite - nice contrast. Added tip, the sauce on this dish is worth saving to put on some white rice. Seafood Fried Rice - delicious! Perfectly seasoned with umami seasonings (not just "soy sauce") and seafood included calamari and bay scallops. Could have eaten the whole platter of this. Fried Fish - don't usually like my food looking at me but... The fish spoke for itself. Perfectly thinly battered for crunch and even better had a clean fish taste (not sure how to explain not fishy without saying not fishy since technically it is a fish). So.... teaches me not to judge a book by it's cover. Shout out to my Dallas family for a place well picked.

The food here is really good if you like dim sum. Make sure to bring someone who knows what to order though (and ideally speaks Cantonese). It's extremely authentic and most everything is really good. Dim sum isn't really my cup of tea and I enjoyed it. I'd give it 4.5 if that was an option.

I had a wonderful experience in here. The food here is truly wonderful, from the scent to the taste of the food, it is very attractive. They serve dim sum all day, but there are some dishes that are only served in the morning because they only make a limited quantity, they are so delicious, they sold out in every morning. When I came here, I was surprised by the variety of dishes. I especially like the taste of stir-fried tofu with lemongrass. You can try it when you come here, it's really delicious. Hope the restaurant grows and has many supporters

Delicious food. My family and I usually use garden as the standard Chinese restaurant that we're always comparing other Chinese restaurants to. Their dim sum is delicious, large quantity size, reasonable pricing, and totally worth it! The entrees are also great, although it's sad that they keep increasing their prices. They used to give rice for free whenever you ordered to go, but now you have to pay for it which is annoying. But any food you buy to go, you can rest assured you'll get a lot! Food is always flavored perfectly, never too salty and always tender. I love their fried rice, fish/pork/beef dishes, their salt and pepper squid is on point, and their fried shrimp balls are a must have! My family and I literally come here all the time, whether to eat in store or order to go. Absolutely recommended them!

Casual spot. Lots of seating for Monday Dimsum. Food was just okay. Everything was seasoned ok but quality could be better. The best thing we had was the pineapple buns and it had custard in it, but it was also just ok. Servers were friendly. Price was decent compared to other places but because their food is just okay. Wondering if dinner is different and more worth it. Menu seems really big so abit sus if it will be good. Lots of parking in plaza.
