So
on
Saturday
1-23-21
my
wife
and
I
decided
to
take
our
three
year
old
to
the
Dallas
Aquarium
for
the
first
time.
Since
March
of
last
year
we
have
rarely
went
out
of
the
house
especially
not
for
any
kind
of
social
gatherings.
You
know,
because
of
a
little
global
pandemic
we’re
all
in
now.
Well,
I
checked
the
DWA’s
website
to
see
what
their
COVID
protocols
were.
Masks
were
required,
your
temperature
will
be
check
upon
arrival,
and
social
distancing
is
“suggested”.
You
also,
when
purchasing
your
ticket,
had
to
chose
what
time
you
were
going
to
be
there.
On
paper
that
sounded
great.
It’s
going
to
be
an
enjoyable
time.
We
arrive
at
our
scheduled
time
and
park.
The
parking
lot
in
front
of
the
aquarium
was
so
packed,
so
that
should
have
been
an
indicator
there.
But
we
proceeded
in.
Went
to
the
entrance
and
was
greeted
by
a
young
woman
asking
if
we
bought
our
tickets
online.
Yes.
“Ok
thank
you.
Go
right
up
there.
Which
was
the
same
place
for
those
that
didn’t.
So
that
didn’t
make
sense
asking.
Unless
it
was
for
their
records
somehow.
Then
a
gentleman
took
our
temp.
You’re
good
he
said.
Enjoy.
They
were
nice
as
was
the
young
lady
at
the
ticket
window.
We
start
walking
around
and
everything
is
fine.
Then
more
people
come
in,
and
more,
and
more.
Then
“adults”
removing
their
masks
and
not
following
social
distancing
protocols.
It
quickly
escalated
from
enjoying
a
nice
day
with
my
son
to
almost
having
an
anxiety
attack
because
more
and
more
people
are
being
let
in
and
just
running
into
you
due
to
space
limitations.
Look,
I’m
not
bashing
the
aquarium.
We
actually
love
it.
My
three
year
old
had
a
great
time.
Even
though
we
were
constantly
keeping
him
from
touching
anything.
But
it
seemed
like
anything
else.
As
long
as
the
money
was
coming
through
the
door,
it
doesn’t
matter.
And
with
the
“requirements”.
It
seems
like
it’s
the
attitude
of
the
city
of
Dallas
told
us
to
put
a
sign
up,
but
we’re
not
going
to
enforce
anything.
I
hate
to
see
that,
but
lately
it
seems
to
be
the
growing
of
businesses.
Especially
in
this
part
of
the
country.
So
the
question
is,
would
I
recommend
the
Dallas
World
Aquarium.
Short
answer,
yes.
But
with
stipulations.
If
you’re
like
me
and
have
lost
people
you
know
due
to
the
current
outbreak
and
even
more
people
have
become
seriously
sick,
then
you
might
want
to
see
when
their
“slow
days”
are.
Or
they
put
better
admission
protocols
and
separation
guidelines
in
place.
If
not,
then
maybe
wait
to
visit
when
the
world
has
a
better
handle
on
this
thing.
