Of course, our son started screaming at the top of his voice. The doctors also treated our son like a piece of meat that had to be processed. That must have been how it was in Western Europe in the 1950s. Now we have brought our second son into the world in Germany and we have been made aware of the glaring difference in the treatment methods. If it can be avoided, bilingual couples should avoid giving birth in Poland or at least in this hospital. Since a lot of European funding probably went into the hospital, the equipment is good.

The place has modern views on childbirth(skin to skin contacts, breast offering, the newborn stays with mother, etc), parents and the newborn are valued. I gave birth to my daughter here and as a new mother I received all the support I needed, even though I hardly speak Polish everyone tried to understand my needs. Incredible midwives were taking care of me and were super helpful and persistent with the start of lactation, I believe this is the most crucial thing if you’re planning to breastfeed. The pediatricians were stunningly gentle and positive, that was so pleasant to hear for newborn parents. There are very few seats in family rooms, which provide completely different comfort. My daughter had jaundice so we had to stay longer and we caught the smallest one, but it was still worth it. I recommend it on behalf of our three children!

A potential patient enters the IP and even when she is supposed to report for a planned procedure, she has absolutely no idea where and who to go to, no information whatsoever, the "registration" desk is empty and abandoned. The only thing left is to ask other patients - most often they are equally confused. And the reception takes place like this: from time to time, a midwife/nurse comes out of the room next to the IP, behind a glass door, and asks who is still eligible for registration, and then you have to register, then wait for your turn, then wait again for the number, then wait for the wristband. hand and after (in my case) three hours be admitted to the ward. Poor start. But then it's much better :)
