Affordable prices and great tasting food. Can't go wrong with this place. Best Italian sausage and hot dogs around. Biggest burger you'll find. Something I don't see many reviews mention, are the buns this place uses for their sandwiches. They taste amazing and they're always fresh! Definitely recommend for lunch time.

First time coming even though I lived 10 min away for 25 years. The food is exactly how I imagined it would taste from seeing it on YouTube. The deliciousness of that bread contraption (I ordered the Matty's sandwich) blew my mind. Having all 4 meats was the exact piece of heaven I needed that day. The beer battered onion rings were exactly what my soul needed to ingest. It's definitely not an everyday sandwich, but Lord almighty knows I have lived too long on this earth to have never enjoyed that delicious monstrosity. Only thing I could say I didn't like was because I am a big boy. There wasn't much space between my gut and the table 😅

An oldie but goodie! Food was delicious, the prices are great, and the a restaurant is spotless. There was a high volume of customers but the orders are handled quickly and efficiently. Parking can be a bit challenging but it’s worth the extra effort. We will be back soon!

I really enjoyed the food and the relaxed vibe at this gem of an eatery. I got the Italian style combo hot dog, and it was amazing! I look forward to coming back again!

I don't even know what to call this... I got a single, combo Italian Style... A giant foil covered bread, hot dog, sausage, potatoes, peppers and onion combination arrived when they called my name. I picked at the potatoes with my fork before trying to tackle the hot dog and sausage in the bun. It was good, messy and perhaps a New Jersey rights of passage. Interior is fairly basic but staff was very friendly and helpful.

I used to visit Jimmy Buffs when they had a standalone shop on Rt 22, but that was a long time ago. Luckily I was in town the other day and got to taste a bit of nostalgia, and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the single Italian dog, and it comes with a fork because it's just too loaded to eat it without. The bread was great and the fries were a pretty standard seasoned curly variety. The guy taking the orders is a trip though, he has quite the personality and demeanor. I might visit again soon just to listen to him LOL!

A huge disappointment. I grew up less than two miles from the Irvington outlet and for years had been a regular customer back in the day. Passing through the area a week ago, I stopped by for Old Time's Sake with certain positive expectations. 3pm on a Saturday afternoon while the place had perhaps 10 customers waiting on their orders. I tried a double hot sausage. The meat on the sandwich was decidedly second rate and grossly overcooked. The bread was somewhat stale and the potatoes were mushy. The onions and peppers obviously had been sitting around for awhile. The entire effect was something dry, flavorless, poorly prepared and way overpriced. Even the store itself wasn't especially clean and smelled funky. Service was prompt and professional but this did not make up for food that was so dreadful that I ate less than half of it. Perhaps I came along at a bad time. Yet, fooderies like this should have uniform, good quality of product at any time. I should have driven down the Boulevard to Five Points and eaten at what is variously called Galloping Hill or Peterson's, I'm afraid. .

Delicious just like I remember from my childhood in Newark. We lived a couple of blocks from the original Jimmy Buffs and it was a treat to collect enough soda bottles to afford a single hot dog. Love it!!

Staff is friendly and attentive. The Italian hotdog is a Jersey thing.....and Jimmy Buff's does a damn good job. The potatoes, peppers, onions, ketchup & mustard along with the hotdog and bread.....are a flavor explosion. 😋
