I was in the mood for curry shrimp and decided to try this location. I called in my order of the curry shrimp with rice and peas and cabbage. They said it would take 45 minutes because it is made to order. When I arrived I found parking on the street and walked in. The nice man came out and the food wasn't ready yet. I waited another 20 minutes or so. When it was done I paid about $19 for the small and left. When I got home I dug in and the food was very good. There was plenty of food as well. The experience I had was good and I would return.

The goat curry and chicken curry were soooo good! The jerk chicken wings were yummy as well. The portion sizes were excellent and definitely worth the money. I took a star away because I wasn't crazy about the oxtails or the wait time. They gave us the flat round pieces none were exceptionally large, nor seasoned as well as the curry but there was a good amount for the large order. The wait time was definitely long but when I finally got to taste the food I wasn't disappointed at all!

I have been craving Jamaican food but I have always been hesitant to order in NJ. I am from NY. This confirmed my fear. The food was bland and tasteless. I ordered oxtail and the fish. Just terrible. $74 from Uber eats wasted. Well i also ordered Jerk wings. It was just ok. Nothing special.

I was craving Jamican food, and this was the closest one available, so I was like let me give them a try 😑 I ordered the oxtail, rice and Peas with Mac and cheese... waited 1hr, wasn't too bothered because I was thinking that yes my food is going to be hot and fresh(WRONG!) The rice was SALTY and I don't think that was oxtail because it lost all of its flavor. I honestly think that they had the food in their freezer and then warm it up when the customer order it. I didn't like it at all and Iam so disappointed.

I dont know if I visited on a bad day. But I was disappointed, food was dry flavorless. I ordered small orders of 2 different plates and patties and not one thing was good. So so so disappointing. Have yet to find good west indian food in NJ. Huge sigh!

Never been to Mama Sher's personally but always ordered from there using UBER EATS. Food was always delicious with excellent portions. Then one day they were no longer offering delivery. I wish she still delivered. I miss the authentic Caribbean cuisine Mama Sher"s provided.

Mama Sher's catered food for my daughters party and everyone raved about the food. We had oxtail, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rice and peas, plantain and vegetables and everything was beyond good. Thank you for making the food it truly was the best catered food I've ever had. 10 out of 10

It's not fancy but the food is AMAZING. You can tell it's cooked daily and it's fresh and clean. The patties were so good, I was mad I only bought two. No store bought patties, he makes them fresh. You are definitely going to wait a while for the food, so if you are looking for a quick bite, this ain't it. But lord is it good.

Terrible customer service. If I could rate zero stars I would. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be ready in 45 min. I arrived 10 min after the phone call so I decided to use the restroom and sit on the inside. The door of the restroom was locked and beside it was a sign that clearly read “Restroom is for customers only”. As I went to ask if the door was locked, some old man who didn’t acknowledge my existence said not a word and some “man” from the back came and said that it was locked while the older man said someone was in there (all of a sudden saw that I was there). Weird that they both said two separate things so I sat and waited. Another 3 min or so goes by and I go back up to the counter to ask the older man if he was sure someone was in there. Again, he never looked up even though I started to tap on the plexi glass to get his attention. The “man” from the back comes out and I asked him how does the older man know someone is in there, then the older man gets up and says sorry while trying to pass me the keys. The man from the back asked if I was buying anything and I told him that I had already told the old man I ordered over the phone. He then proceeds to tell me that the restroom is not “really” for customers so I told him the sign says so, and he says again it’s not really for customers. So I told him they need to remove the sign and they can keep the food. I will NEVER come again. It gave very racist vibes . What a way to make a first impression.
