The place is ran horribly, counter is dirty, drinks are sloppily made by what appears to be kids, orders are forgotten with no apology. Came in and placed an order, 30 minutes later still no drink. In that time I enquired twice and was met with a blank stare. Telling the person behind the counter which drink was ordered and the name did not seem to generate any acknowledgment or action. After asking for the last time (and them making everyone's drink after us), they finally decided to make it. The kid handed it to us with a smug smile, no apology no anything as if he was doing us a huge favor and we should be grateful. the entire time the kids working there were busy having a good time and chatting between each other. The counter was sticky with spillage, no one bothered to clean. the drinks were made with no effort or care. Not sure where the manager has been the entire time. These kids are extremely poorly trained and lack basic customer service. Never again. If you want a decent drink and a service go to Village Coffee next door. At least they care and take time to train their staff

Absolutely terrible service. I've been coming here for years but today was the last straw. I had to wait 25 minutes for iced coffees. That's it. Nothing special, just a bit of cream. Nearly a half and hour wait. It was a bit crowded so I didn't say anything but literally everybody else had been served. I finally had enough and asked about where my order was and was told curtly "I was next". Really? Because you seem to have been doing every other thing for the last 10 minutes. It took her 30 seconds to make it. No apology, no warmness. Just get out. They started laughing too, like I'm the person in the wrong. She obviously forgot a bank of drinks, literally the easiest ones to make and I get the brunt of it. Never again.

This is really one of the most disorganized Starbucks around this area! Always messy and bad costumer services. The Pike Place regular coffee, which is named after the Store first coffee, not available for months! It's just bad experience every time I enter this store!

It took a long time to make my latte. The tables were dirty and my latte was poorly made.

I love the service here. The coffee is always delicious and comes out in a timely manner. I would recommend a caramel frap for newcomers because it's sweet, cold, refreshing and wonderful. One other nice thing about this location is that it has outdoor seating and is right next to a small park and across the train tracks a MUCH larger park. Also it's in adorable Maplewood Village, which is wonderful for shopping and eating.

WORST STORE!! The staff kept making mistakes and forgetting customers' drinks. The person who claimed to be the manager was even worse and completely helpless

It's a Five Bucks.... It was pretty good in speed.... The McDonald's of Coffee is what you'd expect..... Plenty of space to sit......alone or family style....

Starbucks is so good 👌 when I went to my location, they were out of iced peach green tea lemonades, and I was very upset because that's the best Starbucks drink I don't care what anybody else says it's better than the pink drink and it's better than any frappuccino.normally they have that drink, but today they were very lacking in iced peach green tea lemonades.

Horrid. They have tons of employees who move at a glacial pace. I waited 25 mins for a plain black coffee and had to leave because I was going to miss my train. Not the first time. Complete and utter chaos every day.

worst store!! I asked for an afoggato caramel and they gave me whatever the cashier wanted. They gave drinks to everyone who was after me!!!! I have an autistic child who was going from one place to another in the store, which is prohibited. it took 20 minutes to give me an iced coffee? The worst in service. and what's more I think the girl who gave me my drink didn't even have gloves 🤮🤢 Why would they have served everyone first? little empathy if you see a child with a disability do not take all the time to give me a simple iced coffee! the worst money spent!!

Took over 40 minutes for my drink to be made. I placed a mobile order at 8:15 with the estimated finished time for 8:26. Arrived to the store at 8:30, got my food in around 8:35 but still had to wait longer for my drink. I saw a guy order the same guy as me at the store a get his drink within 5 mini while I still was waiting. After it hit 8:55 I left without the even getting my drink. Usually my mobile order only take around 10-15 minutes but every time I place an order on Tuesday, it always take a ridiculous long time to get anything.

Seriously don't bother going here in the morning. 30+ minute wait for a cup of tea. Either figure out how to staff it properly, start prioritizing walk-ins instead of piling up a garbage dump of abandoned mobile orders, or just stop taking walk in orders. Taking someone's order next to a train station without letting them know that it's going to be over 30 minutes to get a simple drink is just unacceptable for a business like this.

The barista at starbucks tonight was very rude. He didn’t put lemonade in my blackened iced tea lemonade and i asked him for more lemonade and he rolled his eyes. Then my friend ordered a carmel frap with no coffee and there was coffee in it and she asked to have it creme based and he said “when are you guys gonna stop being so needy? Are you really gonna ask me for a new one when you chugged it down?” its usually a nice place, but tonght i would not want to go again

This is a very friendly Starbucks in a very friendly town. The baristas seem happy just having the customers there. I will say though, if you are an adult who wants to get work done, I would reccomend avoiding this place from when school finishes until late afternoon because it's close to the middle and high school and a lot of the students seem to go there to do homework which can get really loud.

The staff has changed in the past few months. Some are still friendly as expected in Starbucks. Unfortunately, you have a couple of ladies employed there now who are unpleasant. This takes away from the “Starbucks” experience especially at this great location.

The Wi-Fi here is as slow as on being on your own personal hotspot. It works if you want to make some calls … but if you need to do work and download stuff. Forget about it. This is not the Starbucks for you of you need to get work done.

Dark roast was great and they actually offered to brew it fresh as opposed to some of the other nearby Starbucks where they simply insist that they are out

  • 1/5 Joel G. 1 year ago on Google
Always something holding them up here. Came today to grab some coffee since they made ordering online unavailable and they couldn’t fulfill a simple grande or venti order, only tall. On top of it, they hired a dinosaur to run the register so it takes forever to even to order, it’s disappointing in what’s supposed to be a fast moving paced environment

Atmosphere is very lovely, great place to study or to go out with friends!! One thing is they are usually out of stock on a few drinks, but only for minimal days.

I love Starbucks but this location has some terrible employees, Not all of them are bad but some give the worst customer service, which opposite from Starbucks' standard.

The wait just to get a pastry is at least 20 mins . They are always understaffed. Even when you place an online order after 30mins you still have to come and wait another 15mins for them to have it ready .

A little small, but otherwise great experience inside. We stayed in there for about an hour playing Pokemon and had a good time. Cool environment and staff but a little loud.

Convenient location for walking or driving. I've never had a issue parking. I love ordering my drinks on the app and picking up in store. So my interaction with staff is minimal, but the few times I have dealt with them, they're mostly friendly and knowledgeable about special order drinks. I've only had one bad drink from there. I understand peoples trepidation since Maplewood is 'quaint'. But, this Starbucks carefully crafted their design to match the aesthetic of the town.

I come here all of the time and not once have I encountered a problem whether you come to sit down and sip a cup of coffee and work, or to make a pit-stop before getting on the train to work ( the locations is very convenient since it is next to the Maplewood train station), this place suits all. This place is a hotspot for MMS students. The service is consistent and relatively fast, the environment is welcoming, and the location couldn’t be better.

Unfriendly staff ! Worst experience ever for my first Starbucks run since Covid started. As someone who runs retail management I was appalled at the way we were spoken to. Their is a way to let someone know that they can not enjoy their refreshing drinks inside. As we neared the door to re group and dispose of our straw wrappers she was so quick and aggressive to let us know. I was so caught off guard almost spilling my drink. Their I’m is a much simpler way to say “Hay guys we ask that you don’t have your drink indoors but rather in the out door seating provided Thank you” so sadden that this is happen in such a town like maplewood.

Part 2. In order to give others water in my perspective, you don’t need to follow guidance, handbook, rules and regulations because what you really need to be is just human Tyler, what the most us forgetting in the present days. It’s not personal, even though i make it seem like it is, but what it truly is, is just a reaction to actions that people choose to take because we all have a choice between what actions to take in every scenario our live is placing us on daily basis. It’s important to remember being human without what your handbook may dictate you. I’m sure that Tyler-The manager didn’t think that by saying “wait” to a person, customer or perhaps a guest that sets his foot in establishment that Tyler-The manager choose to be a part of without anyone helping him decide whether or no be employed by, Tyler doesn’t think few steps ahead and that his childish actions with the attitude of a tough individual which really shows more bully side in a person not his strength, can lead in a consequences in which it can cause a harm to another human being, who genuinely with respect just asked you for a splash of water in a cup. to be honest the point of it all is to stay human no matter what and most importantly to stay true to yourself be just simply nice despite you hurt and paint that others cause us and not turn into those who did us wrong. the strength Tyler-The manager is to be individual, not like those others who say “wait” for water. Strength is in being an example and an idea, inspiration to what person can become when others say “wait” for something important that can make and impact in someone life, while others just make it happen right away with no excuses. Strength is to show those others who choose to close door in their own heart because of fear being hurt repeatedly again over and over by loved once or by those we call our friends that it’s is just only a choice of yours and decision we choose to make and that instead of living in the fear and pretend to be someone that you are really not. In my perspective strength is in saying to others that you have already everything you need inside of you to be enough as a person that you already is right now and limitations that we put upon ourselves is just the product of our own thoughts that we project and send our way because of those who made us feel this way around us, together with all those shiny, fancy things and items we see out there in the catalog, tv and movies that we surround us with by our own choice. Those fancy things out there meant not to help or liberate ourselves from our own fears that we didn’t overcame when we were younger but they exist to make us think that being strong is to idealize and glorify the wealth and glamor but in reality it makes us trapped more deeper in the illusion and believe that in order for you to be the person the you need to be and to feel the best and great as you are today, you need expensive clothes, jewelry, twelve hundred cars, three stories house and the life way of rock star but what you really need is just be you, your self. You can listen to the book that tells you when to be nice to others or you can already be nice, do good deeds because you like how it makes you feels indeed, despite what others think and tell you. strength is when you don’t live in fear showing other who you are while others try to be some one they not. It’s also nice to remember that what ever happens on this earth is only temporary and we all mortal after all, but what I choose to do is to live knowing that I stayed myself and was strong enough to help someone just to help, because apparently it is now something we forget about often and what perhaps I’m hear to do now really is just simply shine and be that bright reminder and the voice of light within ourself that calls to us and motivates to be yourself, be human, don’t pretend, don’t be afraid to show your true identity, your character, uniqueness that all other tell you that is wrong. (Conclusion to my store will be next, final part)

  • 1/5 Damien H. 8 months ago on Google • 1 review
Part 3. - and so the final part and the conclusion to my has come to the end. when god will ask of your doings, I’m sure instead of saying that you did a good job by falling what’s inside the book, he’ll ask you why you didn’t help some one when you knew all along it was right thing to do, because when he will ask you all this questions, those that told you what to do in life will not be there by your side to help you and assist in answers that you need to give the one that seats above and knows where we all go when we away from others.😉☝🏻thank you all for your time

Incredibly slow. Even adding an online order in advance. Wait 15min for a drip coffee. Management really needs to look into speed of service
