Tasty dishes at Arturo's. The restaurant is BYOB so be sure to stop by a liquor store beforehand. They get busy on Friday and Saturday nights so it's worth booking ahead. The pizzas are high quality and come big enough to share a small one if you're not so hungry. Alternatively if you get a large it's possible to share between 2 easily. The salad is delicious as well as the meat board. All the servers were very friendly and helpful to all our needs.

I came to the restaurant with my kids and their friends for Sunday lunch 12:30. They only serve take out at Sunday lunch hour. I ordered a couple of pizzas and a salad and asked them if we could just pull up a couple of chairs at the end and eat there. They said they need to set up soon. It’s an excuse I understood so we went across the street and sat on the benches to finish lunch. later at 2pm they weren’t doing anything about setting up. This wasn’t a problem for me regardless. Getting our food there were no napkins and no utensils. I sent one of my kids back to get some. He was given 4 pieces of napkins for five people. I went in again and asked for more, was given 3 more napkins and a couple of folks. Then here comes the worst part. See pictures below. It’s the farmers salad I got. I picked and ate what I could pick out decent enough, but the majority of the green leaves were yellow and rotten. I took it back and showed them just to say to mind the quality for future. They guy looked into the salad and asked “what’s wrong with it?” What’s wrong with it!!!!! He couldn’t even know what’s wrong with it! To serve the kind of quality is wrong enough, and not to see the fact is really something that turned me off completely!!! He said “I could offer you a refund”. A very reluctant gesture. I didn’t take the refund. Won’t eat there again!

The Pizza was Excellent, but way over prices like most personal sized Pizza these days. The Pizza was 5, but they lost me on the presentation and delivery. I had order behind a table outside in the rain. Was not able to go inside and see the Wood Fired oven or to see the Pizzaiolos at work. As one of the Top Neopolitan Pizzas in the State, would have loved to see some of the process. Parking was aweful on top.of everything else. Loved the Pizza hated the Experience..

A very pricey but tasty pizza spot in Maplewood. Large open space with a very casual dining vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent friendly service. Margarita pizza was a little too burnt for my taste, but still enjoyed myself. They also have a bakery offering lots of options, as well as salads, pastas, etc.. They serve alcohol if your interested. Does get very busy/crowded during peak hours and they don't take advance phone orders (last time I tried). Small parking lot in the back parking and you can park in the street and walk if its full. Nice to see more good eats in that side of town but wish the price was less New York and more neighborhood friendly. Stop in if you're ready to splurge on tasty wood fired pizza and baked goods.

Arties is currently my favorite pizzeria. The quality of the dough and red sauce are very good. Some of my favorite things from the menu are the ricotta toast and meatballs. Their Asparagus pizza when on the specials is very good.

This is a great place for family and friends to enjoy pizza! Once we entered we were greeted and seated immediately. The interior design is very homely even though it is a redesigned multi car garage. The staff is attentive and the pizza came out quickly; we ordered 4 pies. They were delicious and flavorful. There is also a bakery on premise, but I didn't try. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone in the area!

One of the Best pizza restaurants in NJ. Classic Napolitano style pizza with a nice crust and topping options available. Their bakery section is amazing too. A must visit if in the area.

Darn. Their previous restaurants had serious vibe. I’m pretty floored to come to the new location and find…longer waits, annoyed staff and a homogeneous and loft like cold atmosphere for dining. I would not recommend eating here. Take out. But they don’t answer the phone or take online orders. The new move ruined it for me. Food is still yummy. They removed the focaccia from the menu. It was the best thing the bread stand served. I would drive 50 miles for a piece of that. Overall a total bummer very New York City. ***update. We received the wrong sandwiches. And one was soggy, bread and lettuce swimming in oil.

I recently dined at Artie's, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the food was undeniably delicious the abysmal service overshadowed the positive aspects. I would give the overall experience 2.5/5 Let's start with the positive: the food. It's hard to deny that the dishes at Artie's were well-prepared and flavorful. We ordered the chickpeas, kale Caesar salad, Orecchiette Piccante, Margherita, and Santo pizza. The food was very yummy but definitely a little bit overpriced for what it was. This could have been overlooked if our service experience wasn't as disappointing. The service at Artie's was nothing short of a disaster. The staff members seemed disinterested, inattentive and displayed a lack of basic courtesy. It was a struggle to capture their attention, and when we finally did, they appeared rushed and unhelpful. We had to ask 3 times for a glass of wine and table bread. In addition, when we ordered our appetizers we were left without plates. We asked multiple waitresses for small plates, bread, and wine but it took forever for them to arrive. It took about 10 minutes for us to get our plates and we just had to sit there (it is difficult for 4 people to split a salad without their own plates). The bread and wine came out with dinner and the small plates only arrived 5 minutes before our entrees were served. Our table was extremely packed and it was very overwhelming. Simple requests took an uncomfortably long time to fulfill, and their lack of apology or concern only added to the frustration. Another unfortunate aspect was the absence of any dessert offerings. Our waitress never asked us if we wanted any dessert and handed us a check. They did have multiple dessert options so I was surprised that we were rushed out of there without being offered. A delightful dessert can serve as the perfect finale to a meal, leaving a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the lack of dessert options left me feeling unsatisfied and incomplete. It's puzzling that a restaurant would overlook such an essential component of the dining experience. In conclusion, while the food at Artie's was tasty, the restaurant fell short in several critical areas. The prices, absence of dessert options, and dreadful service significantly impacted the overall experience. We waited about 30 minutes to get our table and I don't think the experience was worth the wait time. It is my hope that Artie's takes these concerns to heart and works towards providing better service to their patrons.

There is always a line to get in before this place opens. There is a pizza that was recommended to me by the waiter that blew my mind. It was a pizza with minced sausage and unions. First bite into this was like heaven. So good! It is fresh mozzarella and a awesome mildly spicy sauce. It made the margarita taste bland. We also tried the ravioli and meatballs. All pales in comparison to the sausage pizza! Highly recommend you try it.

We took the drive from Queens NY to get our teeth into a slice of the Margarita pizza n to get the famous talk about the MEATBALLS.... I don't even know where to start with this restaurant, really u have to go and experience this restaurant as the atmosphere felt like home n the food n the service was extremely far n beyond my expectations as I travel with 2 mini service dogs, the waitress went n checked to see if we were welcomed and we were happy seated in the enclosed outside area which had the feel of old Italy 🇮🇹 The pizza was worth the trip as the 1st bite into the slice u heard the crust singing in your mouth, I put the slice through the fold test didn't even crack after 2 slices each into the pizza a glass chilled bottle of water came out that was so freshing it enhanced the palets for the most delicious tender meatballs that even Nonna would eat... I highly recommend this place n it's worth the drive from NY as I will be back for more....

Bosco pizza was amazing. Probably one of the best pizzas I ever had. The fontina cheese really brought out the flavors and the fresh mushrooms are delicious. Margherita pie was decent. Service could be a little better.

Arturo’s is a must! Delicious pizza that is made to perfection. The crust is just incredible and the white pie is the best I have ever eaten. It has subtle notes of sea salt that brings out the other flavors. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. This is a must for those that love good food!

Came here for dinner with seven people and they treated us great! The pizza was great and very authentic, the flavors and ingredients are top notch as well. Note that the place is BYOB and there are no desserts, but that is ok because it lets them specialize on their phenomenal pizza 🍕

What a wonderful find in NJ. Be aware it's a Bring your own bottle and the nearby liquor stores close at 8pm on Saturday. So stick up when coming. The food has continuously been delicious. This was the first time eating in and Yums. All the smells, the service. Everything was lovely. It's very romantically inside too. We ordered the ricotta crostini, teléfono, the Meat balls and the truffle ravoli. Wowowowo. My friend returned the next day for another other of the truffle ravoli. Being steps from the train station was perfect for me, to just jump on the train back to the city with my to go container. I look forward to returning.

The new space is fresh and clean. So excited to have them near by. A must visit from near and far. While the pizzas are outstanding don’t sleep on the pasta dishes or the crostini. The addition of their liquor license is a great addition any meal event.

Meatballs, Farmers’ salad and spring pies (mushroom and ramp) are all great! The pie can be half and half, which is good for small parties so we can try multiple toppings!

Absolutely amazing experience. They don’t take reservations, had a short wait of about 20 mins for 2 around 7:00 on a Tuesday night. To start we had the crostini and the sautéed greens. For entrees we had the zucca special pizza (seasonal zucchini) and the wild boar Ragu pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious can’t believe this place has gone under my radar for this long. Will be back very soon!

Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! Our server was personable, and had some great recommendations. The meatballs were phenomenal. The owner came up to our table and introduced himself. 10 out of 10, and can't wait to go back!

This Italian restaurant is excellent, and exceeded our expectations. The pizza is comparable to an original , excellent Neapolitan pizza. This is thanks to their wood-burning ovens. The dough is absolutely amazing and the toppings were out of this world. The salads are good, and the wines are nice and affordable. Overall, if you love pizza, it's a must-try. We drove 40 minutes to get there, and we'll certainly come back!

It’s a great little restaurant, the pizza was very good. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is just because I was expecting a little more since I read some of the reviews and is almost at 5 stars, so I took my mom here for her birthday. There’s a small menu, not so much to choose from but it’s BYOB so you can bring your wine bottle. Make sure you call to see if they’re open because the hours they have on google is not updated. Overall a great restaurant to enjoy it with friends and family ❤️

I forget how I found out about Artie's, but I am thankful for whoever or however! I went recently with 2 friends visiting from CT who are surrounded by GREAT pizza in New Haven, and we all couldn't stop talking about how much we loved our individual pizzas. We ordered a Bosco, Bianco, and Santo. My personal favorite was the Bosco - the variety of salty and savory cheeses in combination with the local shiitake, maiktake, and cremini mushrooms created such an incredible and distinct flavor. Feeling so satisfied, I couldn't help but look around the room at some other guest's plates, and honestly, everything looked worth trying. I definitely plan on coming back and exploring the menu. Thanks for the great food!

We ordered the Bosco Pizza and we added their homemade sausage as an extra topping and it was delicious! The Caesar salad was made with kale, that was so fresh and dressing was so tasty! The wait was a little to excessive and especially for been so hungry from our trip, but it was Saturday night and they gave us complementary appetizer. We’ll definitely come back before we return home to try some of their pasta dinners.
