We stumbled upon this great restaurant while driving through Rahway NJ. The menu was very robust with many options for everyone. They have lunch specials too! We had a few small/shared plates and pasta. The service and ambiance were pretty good too! Check out the visually beautiful and tasty food pics!

The regular calamari is amazing, especially the batter. It was light but savoury. The flavor was intense. Usually the coating has to be thick for the flavor to be tasted or a thin coating cheaps out the flavor. They did neither. The soap was edible. The pasta was great. The sauce was a little watery and it diluted the flavor, perhaps thickening the sauce would go a long way.

Not too bad. Maybe a little sprinkle of raw sea salt after the pizza comes out of the oven will open the flavors up somewhat. The wings could use more flavor also. Other than that we had a nice experience. We would go back to il forno.

The pasta and pizzas were amazing. Also, the service was great! We were late for our flight and asked them to expedite and the server was able to accommodate our request.

Took myself to lunch before checking in at the Watt Hotel. I was really in the mood for fried calamari and this delivered. The rings are large and you get a good amount as an appetizer. I could barely eat the pizza once I got through the calamari. It had great breading and the seasoning levels were good. Definitely order the fried calamari if you visit this place. I ordered a personal cheese pizza which comes with 6 slices. I’d give the calamari and 8.5/10 and the pizza was a 7/10. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The pizza is made to order so it took a little bit for it to be finished but it was fresh when I got it. Service was definitely quick since it was lunch time on a Wednesday so the restaurant was really quiet. Best part is that everything was less than $30. Not a bad lunch at all!

It was my first time in II Forno. It is a nice place with a nice vibes. I respect the restaurant where the kids fried chicken is a piece of chicken not a paste like nuggets! The chicken was really nice. The fried Calamari was delicious. The pizza for me was okay and for the tiramisu i would like it more if the mascarboni was more between the lady finger biscuits not just on the top. Overall i liked the experience in II Forno

This local corner pizza gem on Main Street in Rahway has what I require “an enjoyable restaurant experience” - great service, nice atmosphere and awesome food. We came today to one of our favorite establishments Il Forno a Legna with some of my colleague for lunch. The lunch menu was very flavorful with many options for everyone and hard to beat anywhere in the area. We chose Pollo Parmigiana (Chicken breast breaded and topped with marinara sauce & mozzarella cheese) and came with pasta e fagioli soup, Arugula Pie (Fresh tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, topped with arugula, shaved parm, cherry tomato and prosciutto de parma) and came with a salad, Margarita Pie (Tomato sauce & mozzarella cheese topped with basil, olive oil & sausage) and Tommy Boy Sub (Breaded chicken breast, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella and pesto mayo) with fries. Our food was well seasoned, tasty and delicious. Food portions for lunch were generous and plentiful. We can continue to recommend this place.

Brick oven pizza and large portions of Italian dishes. Margherita pizza and 1/2 with pepperoni. Decent flavor and excellent thin crust. Young crew with good service. Street parking there can be tough. Available outdoor seating. Only complaint was the tiny uncomfortable inside metal chairs. Swap those out and I’m good to go!

The food is great, and the mobile pizza truck makes the best personal pizzas I’ve ever had. Every time they’re on my jobs campus my day is infinitely better.

First time here and first time in Jersey.!! There were five of us eating we ordered a margarita pie and chicken parmesan sandwiches.!!! The pie was the best I've seen or had.!! 🔥🤟 The chicken parmesan sandwich bread is a pizza crust absolutely amazing.!!! Really big portions for a sandwich....you won't be hungry after eating that one😂😂😂😂!!!! Would definitely eat at that joint again.!! Thanks to a local Scott D. for bringing us to this AWESOME spot.!!

This restaurant is a true GEM! Best food and at a reasonable price. They have one of the best tomato sauces I’ve ever tasted- and I’m 100% Italian Atmosphere is very nice and everyone is very friendly

Correct, but the having a problem with they success... too many people and not enough people to serve and make the experience better. The meal was good, but we wait for verrrrry to long this saturday night.

The experience was amazing food was really good and exquisite, the people were very kind. We had to wait a little bit for the food but was because my son asked for lasagna but at the end was WONDERFUL we found this place as a Google recommendation and we are going to comeback.

Pizza's were very good Chicken pesto stood out the best Never had a pesto sauce taste like that Margherita very close second Carne was good but the jumbo sliced meatball that gets over cooked didn't go well took thos off was alot better The other was the was the same chicken pesto without the pesto. Get it with the pesto. Meatballs ok very big meaty Just add more sauce on top for flavor

BYOB! But liquor store 1 min away walking. Wood fired oven for all the pies. The Carne Pie is so good, thin crust with a perfect toasted bottom and great cheese and tomato sauce flavor throughout. Parking is $2 for 2 hours across the street

I had my son first birthday party there,everything was amazing! From the hospitality,good servers, and food! I loved everything! Meilyn helped us with everything, she is amazing! We look forward on having another private event there again. Best restaurant to have your private party!

My neighborhood pizzeria/ restaurant and they never disappoint. Servers are so pleasant! Food is great! Plus it's a BYOB! A great spot to eat solo or with friends after work. The decor is warm and welcoming. Love this place ❤️!

We were patient, but the time we wait was soooo long... We understand that your victim of your success. Wow... everythings was good, and the server was kind and try hard to serv us the best he can apologized for the delay etc. Pizza and pasta was marvelous!

Original pizza creations made in a wood fired oven. The place is very popular and there was a 30 minutes wait, but well worth it. The food is served on plates that do not retain the heat long enough unfortunately, afrer a few slices the pizza is cold. The restaurant itself is quite basically decorated. The main room is quite noisy, the smaller room is better if you want to have a conversation.

Tasty Pizza and Pasta selections, beautiful ambience Servers were pretty attentive and helpful Potion size was pretty good They will take the leftover and wrap it up for you to go! We had really good time.

My family and I are from Ohio. We traveled to New Jersey for a wedding. I’ve only seen Neapolitan pizza on social media. Always wanted to try it, and glad we made the decision to come here. Our experience was amazing. The service, atmosphere, and food is top notch! I can only hope this place continues to thrive for generations to come. Good job!

Great in-town restaurant that we've been going to for a while now. Had the beef lasagna, which was pretty good. It's a byob and it's especially nice when the weather is warmer and you can sit windows open. Cool owners, great staff, great place.
