There is no a bus that let you close to the park, so you need to take a taxi, Uber or car to arrive in there. Sadly you can’t buy the tickets in there. You need to buy it in advance on the website or in oxxo. (It cost me $80 pesos mex) For me it didn’t make sense that you can’t buy the tickets in there. It is a good place to escape from the city. I could see different animals and the view in Meseta is amazing.

Great natural park with trails of different difficulty and viewing spots over Monterrey. It is also magical during foggy and rainy day. You need to buy ticket online when you drive, not sure about bicyclist and hikers

Now one of my favorite hiking parks Great hiking, incredible views Very clean, just be careful you don’t hike to deep in and not have enough energy to return. Not to far from the city It’s really a must visit when in Monterrey Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and snacks, you’ll need them The moment you arrive you can hear the birds and animal all around you Be ready for the workout of your life!!!

It’s so beautiful which offers spectacular views. Definitely a must visit when you are in Monterrey. Try getting early on weekends as it gets crowded later in the day.

My son who is in a wheelchair had a bear encounter and the bear got so close that he even though of petting him but wisely decided not to do it. Good thing he didn't get nervous and was very calm while the bear was sniffing him. You can see my son in the photo and the bear at that point hunting for food in the trash. By the way I was in another area of the premises while the bear was close to him and probably was better because I would have run towards the bear to try to scare him an who knows what other outcome we would have had.

TRAVEL TIP: Buy your tickets online ahead of time…otherwise struggle to get wifi there to buy them online and waste a lot of time as the transaction struggles to go through. ($80 for 1 person or 2 for $140) The park is beautiful and well-taken care of. Lots of trails and clean bathrooms and playgrounds for kids. We saw deer and coati.

It's a wonderful park. I took the 2.2 (4.4 total) kilometer express hike and the trails were easy to understand. I was lucky enough to come on one or the very rare snows in the region. The view at the top is astonishing make sure to bring 2 water bottles one for up and one for down the mountain. There are some trash recepticles so hold onto your litter and dispose of properly to keep the bears and animals off the trails.

Terrific for a day hike out if the city. Step walk from the main gate but mostly good track with only a few sections of unformed steps. Great views of the plains and the valleys around Monterrey. Take some water and snacks for the hike.

(Translated by Google) An ideal place to reconnect with nature, the routes within the park to go up to the different paths and plateaus are very well signposted. Very clean and well kept. There are bears, deer, and other small mammals. One hundred percent recommended if you want to spend a pleasant time disconnected from the city and the stress of everyday life.

I really like this place. But COVID took away a huge portion of it. Trails are nice and challenging but the nice thing is getting to the top of the mountain and enjoy the views and games in the top of it. Looking to forward to come back when is fully open

Amazing. You can walk, ride or run with an incredible view. Take your time to rest amd enjoy the nature. One of the best views of Monterrey, just less than 20 min far from downtown. There is a hotel and restaurant.

I love that it's possible to drive so far up, not requiring a hike - not a great idea for my currently out-of-shape behind. The views are beautiful and there's plenty to do at the mini "park" at the end of the road.

Beautiful and challenging vereda trail and views from the El Mirador. Fun play area for the kids, and great brunch at the restaurant (Sundays only).

Breath-taking views. Bring a good camera. Also the Chipinque hotel is at the very top at the end of the road. Lots of rest stops for pictures, restrooms, picnic areas and play areas for the kids. Good hiking and biking trails all for less that $5 American.

the most dense forest natural park around city of Monterrey, also full secure, cost of entry is $20 per person or $75 per car, $25 per bike if you already own a plate which cost ~$500, also here you can rent a bike inside the park at around $350, no pets allow to entry in the park.

A great place to experience the beauty of the great outdoors. The goal is to hike up a few miles to get to the top of Chipinque, or if you are not feeling that adventurous you can drive very slowly to the top. The views are incredible and they have multiple stops equipped with bathroom facilities and benches to rest before you continue on. Even though you are in the middle of Monterrey you feel like you are out in the wilderness. Very challenging and very enjoyable!

Nice place to walk in nature and escape the city. It's cooler at this higher altitude. Admission of $120/2 ppl is now only via online reservation. I just found that out at the entrance today unaware of this new way to pay for the park entry.

  • 2/5 Kimberly Sue H. 1 year ago on Google
I didn’t like it. I had higher expectations for Chipinque. This is a good trail park for kids and to exercise definitely. I did the higher rate in AllTrails app and it was disappointing. I brought some friends over and we did Chipinque then teleférico and topo chico. We all agreed that teleférico and topo chico are way better. Chipinque literally put a wood path over one of the main trails. Also not pedestrian friendly if you are taking public transportation: access will be a little dangerous cause there are no sidewalks even at the park the road is very limited so be careful people in Chipinque don’t know how to drive. They have nice bathrooms so for hikers you know what that means. As I said it’s good for kids and exercise or maybe to take nice pictures, but if you want a real hike don’t bother just go to teleférico or la huasteca.

  • 5/5 Alejandro A. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely a must go place, but it's hard to get a taxi or uber that wants to do the drive all the way up, so it's better if you get a rental car, it's more helpful to explore all the other attractions around the city

  • 5/5 Michael S. 1 year ago on Google
You need to purchase your ticket online before getting to the gate! Very clean with plenty of trails of varying difficulty levels. Beautiful views.

  • 5/5 Lloyd Y. 1 year ago on Google
You need to buy your park passes online. They don't handle cash at the park entrance. Many park rangers provide security throughout the entire park. Staffing is top-notch. You can tell they love their jobs. Watch for bicyclists and pedestrians. Tight blind switchbacks. We saw large mamals. No bears this time. Some type of raccoon creature not uncommon in these mountains.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful place to exercise, spend time with the family, or just to go and clear your mind. The entrance costs 60 pesos, but it is worth it, in addition the cost of the ticket is used for the maintenance of the place. The routes and the different trails are always in good condition. I have gone when it has been raining, when it is foggy, when it is very hot and even when there are temperatures close to zero degrees, and there are always park rangers looking after both the place and the visitors. Los Regios tienen suerte...The people of Monterrey are lucky to have Chipinque in their backyard. Great park for the outdoor lovers. Great for hiking, both road or mountain biking or just to spend some quality time within nature with family and friends. The views as you get higher are amazing. Just get there early as parking gets hard)er as the day goes by, more so on weekends. If you are hiking or biking, expect a workout as it can get steep in some sections

You can have a very nice view from the hotel terrace. Prepare to walk a lot and you'll also find a lot of hidden gems. If you can't or don't like to walk that much ask your taxi or uber to bring you directly to the hotel, there's a lot of things to see around it. Enjoy :)

(Translated by Google) Fabulous and highly recommended for nature lovers. You have to buy the ticket in advance due to the pandemic, because the box office is closed. It is very easy, you just have to go to the official page to do it. They are 70 pesos per person, but there are packages of 2 or more people at a lower cost. It is forbidden to bring food, pets and you must wear a mask. The restaurant is closed but the bathrooms are clean. There are paths for people of all ages and therefore see the difficulty just before starting to climb. If you are lucky you may find a bear, be sure to read the instructions in the information booth to find out what to do. The views of Monterrey are incredible!
