The ambience is exceptional. So is the service that they provide. However, they are missing the point of being a GOOD restaurant. The food was AWFUL and OVERPRICED AF. I ordered omakase, and nowhere in the world but in Hotaru serves omakase as if we were at a cheap sushi buffet, not to mention the quality of sushis was comparable to that of cheap sushi buffet. I would rather donate 900 pesos to random people at the street than visit this restaurant again.

This place is really really fancy and is very well located. The food was pretty good but the prices were not, it's a little bit in the expensive side, actually very expensive there are a lot of sushi places here in San Pedro that give you more bang for the buck

Shashi is excellent. I guarantee this is the best sashimi place in MTY.

Great food, fresh ingredients with great taste, the place is small but with good ambiance. Try the Toro with foie gras, the Huachinango furikake was amazing, the place is for sashimi and nigiris, also you can try the Makis and Temakis... in the overall is a really good place.

I had an amazing experience at Hotaru. They’re super attentive, food is deliciously fresh and they make sure you’re having a great time at all times. I consider this to be a little overpriced, but if you’re celebrating something special and you love Japanese cuisine, this is THE place.

Excellent service from both Martha and Juan. Martha always made sure we were taken care of. She was very attentive to our needs when it came to ordering drinks and she would be on call for everything we needed. Juan was our chef and he gave the best recommendations and explained everything thoroughly. The place is beautiful and even the manager came to us to explain the menu and the concept of the restaurant. We will definitely come back!

Hotaru is amazing! We come here every time we visit Monterrey. The experience is always one to remember. The fish is incredibly fresh and the preparation is second to none. A must visit when in San Pedro

Beautiful delicious place. Our waitress Matra was really helpful. Our son eats ONLY Philadelphia roll and they don't have Philadelphia cream-cheese but they cooked custom -made roll and our son loved it!🤗 P.S. Price that I mentioned here is in pesos

Martha and Fabián were amazing . The food was amazing and the service was amazing . I have been to Japan and eaten sushi and was surprised how fresh the fish was and how good it was . The omakase b is highly reccomended. The Mexican sake was surprisingly good . The plátano dessert reccomended !
