Was here today. Very fun and very good honey. The honey was seriously so so good. The best honey I've tasted in my life. I was eating it all day just out of the jar and when I was supposed to eat dinner I wasn't hungry but I still craved the honey. So I snuck out of bed and ate more honey. Cant wait to get more honey next time. Good job!

This is a beautiful, authentic, living history Festival. It is authentic to the 1812 period. There are many Indians, British soldiers and American troops all appropriately dressed. Vendors have a wide variety of food, including beans and cornbread, steak sandwiches, pork chops, chicken and noodles, fried meat and fruit pies. There are vendors that sell period-appropriate clothing, wares, games and wooden toys. The re-enactors are always willing to demonstrate and explain what they are doing. There are blacksmiths, musicians, artists, and of course, the soldiers. The clothing is fascinating. It's fun to see the difference in what people wear. A lot of the public that just comes for the day dresses up also. There are two battle reenactments each day and a flag-raising every morning. Softshell Turtle is an Indian storyteller. He's definitely one thing you want to see. 1812 is definitely worth the trip. There is something for everyone.

Excellent fishing area. Watch for eagles, ducks, other photo opportunities. Good hiking, well patrolled.

Good food and was a really neat experience. Enjoyed watching the reenactment even though it was hard to see.

A must see event for northern Indiana. It gets better every year. A very large reenactment of a little known part of American history. It's worth it just to interact with the vendors and craftsman. The food is worth the trip. Well run event that has a ton of work put into it by its extensive group of volunteers. You gotta see this at least once if you live in Indiana.

Lots of vendors. The setting is beautiful. Just make sure if you buy tickets online that you print them off beforehand because signal is not great. Also make sure you go early because the wait time to get in is crazy long

Always a wonderful time with family. The battle reenactments are always well done and exciting. My daughter was enthralled with the horses and soldiers. The food is great, and the events are really informative.

I would recommend this as a day trip to anyone or a family that is interested in the history of our country and interested in Indianas history. My wife and I had a great time and plan to go back next year. We are also looking into ways to join in seeing that we are both into primitive camping. There is something there for everyone!!!!

I love the re creation of the battle and such. My most favored parts of the event are the smell of autumn in the air, mixed with the smells coming from the wood burning fire-pits with the delicious aroma of the foods cooked over fire. The food and the goods vendors are most definitely at the top of my list aa well. Much thanks to all who make this event take place.

BRING CASH. There’s no internet to pay with a card. Beautiful setting, easy to park and free. Lots of people and young kids, but able to spread out and lines for food were not too long.

Overpriced. Its 2023 ... almost 2024 aaand tickets.. +many vendors ..are cash only! Silly. Authenticity is fine... buy cmon..I would buy more if I could use my cc. Also,. Should open a shorter path for those walking down the middle from parking... your literally right by the gate when you reach the bottom of the hill...but then they make you walk an extra 15-20 mins around. Hours....sigh.. every day they close at 4/5pm.. makes it difficult to go. At least stay open till sun starts going down. Geesh! Overall..meh..its okay I guess.
