Enjoyed the location with views and sound of the waterfall.Kids enjoyed it. Breakfast was problematic. They had an Ala Carte which took way over an hour to be done. Mary though was a very good attendant. She has a great attitude and patient. The Chef also was responsive and professional and explained the delay.

The meals here are so delicious good customer service and one thing I love about this place is that there is a garden where you given a mattress to sleep or relax under the beautiful trees.

Took forever to get our meal. But the food was delicious (waiting time 4hrs)order and keep following up especially if you are not seated in the main restaurant otherwise it might take longer than the 4hours we waited. Their milkshakes are delicious 🤤.The sights and sounds are AMAZING!

The view! The view from the restaurant looks like something out of a magazine page. The food was great, service a little slow but totally worth the wait. Lots of activities e.g. archery, campsite available. Perfect location for team building activities or just a chill hang out with fam or friends.

Coolness explained in a scene is the name for Havila Resort. The place has many spots to relax, connect, enjoy, camp, conference or just walking around. Located a few meters from the highway, one gets to access the place easily. With lots of garden ground available here, you get to choose the activity of your choice from, a wedding, team buildings, camping, corporate meetings etc. The island was my best spot, a river dividing the section into two, you get to be between two rivers. The food from the restaurant is also well prepared and served, and the cost, very affordable!! I would recommend the place over and over again, (why? Did my wedding here ?) Big ups Havila

I have dinned at this restaurant a couple of times and every single time food orders take so long to be served. The waiter/ress don't know the drinks menu. And to make matters worse, they have the audacity to hyke prices when one is about to pay the bill.

Super-friendly and helpful staff. Patient with patrons as well. Downside is that the bikes are a little worse for wear and poorly maintained. The boat-ride is also underwhelming. Overall fun-factor is really high. Recommended

It's a really beautiful place, very budget friendly with lots of fun activities such as nature trail, trampoline for kids, kayaking zip lining. One can just chill by the river even camp there and did I say it's addictive...... The owner Mr Alex is very hospitable and passionate about nature and planting trees. Excellent customer service and tasty food

Spent the night there in an executive room which was really stuffy but otherwise everything else was perfect. The service is okey, and the activities are in plenty. The Sound of the falls is also quite soothing.

The resort is so serene and good for camping and team building. The owner needs to renovate the place though. It looks unattended for so long..otherwise not bad.

The facile is very specious, well maintained and very close to the highway… the staff were well mannered….. the resort is attached to the flowing river… they provide safety gears… you can enjoy swimming, kayak & water cycling… the staff will take good care of you…. If u visit in group or with big family you can enjoy a lot… the food was nice….

Pretty decent and quiet with a spectacular view (should have taken some pics 🤦🏿‍♂️). Transactions here are entirely cashless, so you can bring your cards along, or use the local mobile money service.

This weekend I visited Havila Resort in Sagana and I am telling you it's the ultimate weekend getaway. Everything from ther delicious food and friendly staff makes you feel at home. They have tents for camping as well as rooms for accomodation. Right now the water levels are low, making it even more enjoyable to sit by the river as you enjoy the cool breeze. I enjoyed every bit of my two days stay. #gowhereyoufeelmostalive #TembeaTujengeKenya #MagicalKenya

We visited the place hoping to get a nice Christmas experience. Arrived at about 3pm and didn't get food until 5pm after complaining alot. We were advised that it would take 45 minutes but waited for two and a half hours. The waiter Doreen disappeared to no where.... The food was hurriedly done. Imagine pork being harder than beef.... And chicken...half way cooked. I had visited the place before and had a nice experience. But now, I cannot recommend anyone to visit on a holiday. They spoiled my nice Xmas holiday

To be honest, i really didnt like the food here. It could use alot of improvements in that aspect. The ambiemce is great especially the green garden. And please take canned beer if u plan on drinking. The bottle ones had a number of flat beers.

Great food! Amazing view of the waterfall down below and Elijah was a fantastic host. They have a good number of water sports, a small little island in the middle of the river that has good shade. The accommodation is not world class but it is decent and has all you need if you need accommodation along the sagana route.

Location is beautiful with a waterfall nearby and beautiful gardens. The rooms are however too small and they charge an extra bed for kids under 5years in a room. The entire resort has painfully only 5 rooms which doesn't give you alot of options. The executive room we booked had nothing executive about it and it had a tiny bathroom. The service was however good and the staff were the only saving grace about this place especially Priscilla she was awesome.

  • 4/5 Awesam M. 1 year ago on Google
I loved the place but the management can do better in ensuring services are a bit fast, on Sundays the service people in the down side near the tuber river are a bit slow because they've to get some item's items from the up side.

I spent nearly five days here during the heroes day weeken this October in 2023. Located in Kirinyaga a few hours from Mount Kenya, Havila is a useful destination from the exertions of Nairobi and other metropolis in Kenya. The proprietor Mr Chege and his wife are determined to turn the nature park into a health resort. They wish to tap into the health tourism subsector in the country. Havila sits on a large expanse of land through which the Tana river flows. Indeed it is at the club house that the river displays spectacularly. It lines up along a ridge on its path in a thunderous roar. Taking the cue, the white water rafters have been sufficiently seduced to make the Rapids and falls into a spot to train for international events. Much to the loss of the Nile in Jinja. There is so much to do at Havila. If the adrenaline overcomes you, the water sport is a welcome exertion. Otherwise, a simple repose in the manicured lawns will give you peace of mind.

Very nice resort with amazing views. Close to the main highway but feels like you're deep in a park. You can see the Sagana river from the resort. There are many sports and activities you can engage in from cycling to archery.

The food was delicious, especially the chicken wings and potato wedges served at 4pm. Buffet meals meals were outstanding. The games front gave us very good first time experiences that were memorable in all ways. We we're first timers in Archery, Zip lining and foot golf. The natural serenity of Havila is real and very satisfying to me as it goes far away from the normal brick and mortar that is all around our daily lives and living. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Havila to anyone looking to connect with nature outdoors
