Excellent recent visit for a business meeting. Everything was as I had hoped, food and drink was good. Nice friendly staff and owner, who took the time to engage.

I was booked into this charming hotel for a family occasion but only for two nights, wish it was longer. It was absolutely delightful, the staff were so very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My single room overlooked the pretty garden with a compact but more than adequate en-suite with a generous supply of towels and toiletries. The bed was so comfortable. I can't wait for another family occasion and hopefully a longer stay next time.

Popped in for a bite to eat on way to Edinburgh this evening. Staff were super friendly and accommodating even though appeared busy. Highly recommend the Smoking Coo Burger. Lovely setting, Thank you

What a find. Probably the friendliest staff in a hotel we have ever come across, could not have done enough for us. We had our wee dog (Rosie) with us who was made to feel more than welcome also. The breakfast we received was absolutely fabulous. We decided we would definitely be back even before we checked out.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, very helpful, room was a little small, not much room to move around but very comfortable. It is understandable as this is not a new building. restaurant food, good standard, good portions, breakfast good.

Happy to recommend the Buccleuch arms Friendly, welcoming staff The dining area is tastefully designed Good breakfast, but perhaps not outstanding, 4/5, the flavour and preparation are good but maybe one or two points of "value engineering", for example the English muffins felt more Aldi than artisan Rooms are okay but the bathrooms (or at least mine) are dated - pink sanitary ware, low pressure shower, I mean really low pressure - but they are clean

We had an unexpected couple of hours to spend in St Boswells. We decided to enquire if we could get drinks or foods as non-residents. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome into the hotel and showed to a table where we enjoyed an unexpected full Scottish breakfast, great coffee and to stay as long as we needed! What a treat! Great friendly service, delicious food in delightful surroundings and our wee dog was also made very welcome! Would highly recommend.

Ate here and the food was fabulous atmosphere great and service exceptional. 2 coursed plus a round of drinks for 3 people £50... used to paying £100 for similar experiance.

Public areas are all beautifully decorated, food is fantastic and service is excellent- warm and welcoming. Room was fine - a little dated but given the price it was perfectly fair. Will happily stay again.

First time for me but the party I was with have been many times before staff very friendly we precooked table staff very welcoming and up for a laugh young bar man lovely waitress lovely service fab food great we all had something different would come again and recommend your place to family and friends thank-you

Food was enjoyable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotels decor requires attention and a good clean and dust throughout the hotel is also required to get rid of the cobwebs.
