We had a great dinner in this traditionally decorated polish restaurant. It is located in a nice spot next to the canal. The staff was friendly and polite. The service was quick for the starters and beverages but a bit slow for the main courses (maybe due to the number of customers at the time of serving us). The food was good. We would prefer to be more salty. The portions were awesome with the exception of the salads which were small. The desserts were good, especially the one with the apple pie but in general do not expect to find them sweet enough. Prices are higher than the local market rates but the total experience (food, service, live music, decorations) compensated us. For the records, including the tip (10% of the bill) we paid 150zloti per person. Nice variety of beers also. Choose the triplet. Prefer to book a table prior to your arrival. Highly recommended

Great place right by the channel in the very city center. Even though located in the touristic spot, the quality of the food is truly fine. We visited this restaurant twice - both were family dinners and never regretted. The owner says that the best tatar is server here - and he is probably right, this dish tastes amazing with different shades of flavor. This, highly recommend. The other dishes we tried was schnitzel - truly huge meal, so if you are super hungry, definitely worth of choosing. Also, we tried churches liver (delicious), cooked fermented cabbage (yummy), and golonka (perfectly done). Highly recommend to visit this place once in Gdańsk and to taste traditional meals with the unique vibe.

Visited twice during extended weekend, once when the place was clearly swamped with customers and the staff were off their feet, and again next day when it was much calmer - on both occasions food was consistently good and waitresses friendly and efficient. Must admit that came here with preconceived idea of average service and food quality, mainly due to very touristy location, but despite couple of minor issues - left quite impressed.

Must visit place in Gdańsk old town! Fantastic ambience. Just next to the riverside near old town One of the best trout fish grill ever had in Europe. So fresh and delicious. Almost everything we ordered from trout, cod to chicken pork everything was fantastic. Cleanliness in the toilets were acceptable. Very friendly staff - special mention of Martyn very patient and great customer service. Definitely recommend this place - will always stop over whenever we come next to Gdańsk. Just another note - 10% service tax is added by default so only tip more if you want to. 10% by default is quite a lot of forced tip.

The food was utterly delicious and the service was impeccable. We had the honey ribs and pork knuckle, both of which were so tasty. There was even some mellow live music which complimented the meal perfectly. One of the best meals and restaurant experiences. I've had.

Nice restaurant nearby the river! I think this one is a pretty affordable price and a very cozy place. All food and drinks are excellent, and I love how they decorate the restaurants. They also serve some traditional food too.

Decent restaurant in Gdańsk old town, right next to the river. They offer various traditional polish food and drinks. I’m not a big fan of polish food thus cannot tell if they’re authentic or not. The services are good but they do charge extra for service. Live music provided there as well, a nice lady sang really well when we were there. The interior is also quite polish kind of vibe. Their menu is a good read too - some story about the famous people from Gdańsk. Price is on the pricey side in Gdańsk.

A cozy place with a pleasant atmosphere. They serve very good traditional Polish food. We enjoyed both the appetizer and the main course, which tasted incredibly good, and the portions were just right. Unfortunately, we were not as impressed with their homemade beer. The service quality is somewhat lacking. It's not good when the waiter walks around intensely chewing gum. We also felt that the waitstaff were quite superficial and not genuinely interested in making the experience as enjoyable as possible for the guests. Smiles were mostly absent from those working there. It's a shame because the food was really excellent!

Location and food are really great! Decided to go for two starters to try some more food which was enough for one person, too. :) I can especially recommend the apple pie as a dessert. It was still warm and tasted heavenly! Also the waiter we had was super friendly and quick.

This place had the best service we experienced Gdansk! The food was delicious and the drinks were really interesting. It started to rain outside and the waiter really quickly got us a table inside. We were immediately offered drinks and the waiters were very proactive and offered us everything we wanted before we even had to ask. One of the waiters also told us stories about the restaurant and shared some really great stories. Best experience we had in Gdansk!

Very nice staff and very good meals. We had golonka, schnitzel, and chicken breast and all of them were great but higher prices make it a TOURIST TRAP and also we had a drink from the waitress which was 36 zloty each

Could be mistaken for a tourist trap, though off of the main street in Old Town. The food is nicely plated and there is something on the menu for everyone, but is still somewhat lacking considering the price. The steak was cooked perfectly, but had nearly as much fat as meat. The cod was moist and flaked nicely but the flavor was underseasoned. The dunkel beer seemed flat and was served without any head/foam. Live music inside and plenty of seating with fire and blankets outside.

Ordered trout but the fish I received was NOT a trout. It tasted like mud and when I complained the server said that "Maybe you don't appreciate fancy tastes". Horrible! The meat dishes seemed better though.

A very good restaurant by the canal. Attentive staff and beautiful cuisine. The only disappointment was a constructive works that blocked a view of the canal.

Excellent service and food. My husband highly praised his pork knuckle and I was delighted at the tempeh “bake”: delicious roasted veg, with tempeh sprinkled atop. The portion size was huge, so I took half back to our accommodation. My husband also enjoyed two of the many housemade liqueurs.

The restaurant is located on the waterfront. High-quality, tasty food, large portions. Delicious local beer. Live music plays on weekends.

Absolutely amazing experience! 👌🏻 The restaurant left me thoroughly impressed. The food was incredibly delicious, and the portions were generous. The ambiance created a fantastic atmosphere, setting the perfect mood for the meal. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The waitstaff were not only friendly and welcoming, but they also added to the overall ambiance of the place. Their warmth and friendliness truly set the tone and made the experience unforgettable. By the way, I highly recommend trying their pork knuckle – it’s an absolute delight!🤤🤤🤤

We had an incredible experience at Gdanski Bowke! The ribs were tender, flavorful, and simply mouthwatering. The fish was equally outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The ambiance along the water, and the service were top-notch as well. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal!

Amazing and delicious polish cuisine in the heart of Gdańsk. Lemonade was a good mix between sweet and sour. Meeting staff was a heartwarming experience.

We ordered snitzel, pork ribs, and pork knuckle. For side dish we ordered dumplings. They were all very good. Especially the pork ribs. Our kids loved the snitzel. Price wise is ok, perhaps more on the medium to high range. Happy to have had some traditional polish food. Service was fine. All is good.

A very nice place along the water! I got the cauliflower dish, which probably wasn't the best choice. (Sometimes you just need a break from all of the meat here in Poland!) It was nothing exciting, but it did feel good to eat vegetables! The pork knuckle was very good and the sauerkraut side was one of my favorites. Overall, a solid meal. On the pricey side, but I'd imagine most of the places right on the water are.

Really nice restaurant with cozy and traditional vibes. I had the pork knuckle and the meat was incredibly tender and fell off the bone with ease. This is a place for comfort food that makes your heart warm, also the portion sizes are on the bigger size. We also had the specialities platter, which we weren't too crazy about. Beer was great too. I will recommend this place for sure.

This was by far the best place we visited for food in Gdańsk. The atmosphere was great live music and the service was excellent. We got there and managed to get the last table I would recommend booking for a Saturday as very busy.

Very nice cosy restaurant, they are serving Polish dishes. We had the best mullet beer in the town. English speaking waiters.

Lovely night in this restaurant, the food was amazing, there was live music and the staff were excellent. We had the stew, dumplings, pork knuckle and wild boar bacon, it was all delicious. Highly recommend.

We ate zurek here two times. Not the best soup we had but good enough to visit twice. Location is great, service works and you can get different type of beers here (lager, wheat, ipa). Desserts looked good also, although we didn't have any.

Good solid food, service was great. Good grasp of English and German. Platters were a good size to share or a main for one. Ribs a little dry for my liking Schnitzel was good. Steak tartare was good

Been here twice, they usually have a good vodka tasting board. If they have the one with the plum then definitely get it. They do have three house beers which are pretty good. Their cheese board is goat cheese from a local farmer.

Absolutely fantastic service, it's like culinary dream ! I am not such a foodie like my partner is, however I am extremely impressed with the high standard of the servers, especially Wiktor. He had his own initiative and was able to replacement dishes for us. The restaurant offers high quality food, menu is very reasonably build. On Sunday they had a band playing music ! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Gdansk.

The Good was amazing, so was the service! I can definitely recommend this restaurant and for sure I will be returning there. The portions were massive - see pictures attached! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The ingredients used were fresh. The selection is quite large, but the menu is offered in Polish, English & German. The interior decor is original, which only benefits the entire eating experience.

cozy place with retro design, the longer you stare the more you’ll notice cute details, tomato soup was delicious (I wonder why mine isn’t that tasty😂), placki ziemniaczane were soft and pillowy, menu isn’t big and it’s a good thing because you see that every meal is made with care also love, the waiter also was very polite and funny, I will visit it again

Overall we had a really good experience. Tasty food for decent price. Located in one of the Main Street, but it didn’t feel like a tourist trap. Good variety of meals on the menu. The Service was overall fast and friendly. The only complain goes to a particular waiter. We ordered some dumplings together with the rest of the meals. Since we didn’t get them after more than an hour we asked if they didn’t forget about it, and the answer was “be patient”. So a little improvement on the customer service and the place would be a 5 stars.

Amazing food and the BEST SERVICE so far in Gdańsk. Fast, knew exactly who wanted what and funny waiter. I would come back! Good to know - they add 10% for service

Lots of delicious traditional polish food on the menu. Tried both zurek and pierogi here, both were really tasty! The grandma's soup (tomato soup with pasta) was simple but still good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Reservation required if you want to get a spot inside!

Tasty food, friendly and kind staff. The only thing to point out is that the group dinners are too loud and too happy. Not possible to have an intimate meal but its works for people who like friendly crowds. Thank you to out hosts for the kindness

We had a dinner here on Friday and it was just amazing. Food was perfect - ribs were tender and fish soup was very much to my liking (a little spicy). Service could not have been better - I made a reservation online, our table was ready on time, food was served in 10 mins after we ordered. Moreover, we realised the table was a bit unstable and even before we thought to ask for help, a waiter already came to fix it! We were also lucky to have some live music, so the atmosphere was perfect. 10/10!
