Gdańsk is a pearl of Poland, shame it is only a replica of beautiful thousand years old city rebuilt after the 2 world war during which germans brought us love and democracy murdering innocent and defenceless polish people of Gdańsk, with its nearly all Elite slaughtered in nearby forest of Piaśnica, and their lovers bolsheviks demolishing entire city when they came to take over the country! Gdańsk is a great city to visit with beautiful Sopot nearby and Gdynia only a half hour on the train.

Most beautiful old square, rebuilt in the old pre-war style. Pay attention to how every single building's facade is architecturally different, and many represent the culmination of a single family's fortune. Many vendors set up year-round, especially street artists. Stop by one of the on-street cafe's and watch the world go by. Beautiful flowers in the summer, and warm heaters + blankets in the winter. Be sure to walk the whole length, from gate to gate, in order to experience centuries of history. Always feels like home!

Very impressive and well preserved (or rather rebuilt) place. Charm and elegance all around. Not too flashy. A great deal of Germanic and Nordic influence. Just imagine the sheer grandeur of this street at the time it was laid out, some 300 years ago.

Stayed for a few days and the place is magical. Especially loved it as it snowed whilst we was there. You can easily spend hours walking around the pretty streets. Endless amounts of places to eat. Recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to visit

This is a really nice area of the old city of Gdansk. It's impressive how well this city has been rebuilt after the war. You can spend hours just watching facades or people.

What is a picturesque street. Just be mindful of the public transportation ticket which can't be found around here at all. The app requires the Polish phone number and needs to fill up the wallet first.

(Translated by Google) Ulica Długa and Długi Targ form the so-called Royal Route. They are the most beautiful and the most representative streets of Gdańsk. This most interesting route in Gdańsk was a place of parades, important celebrations and the triumphal entry of Polish kings into the city. This part of the city was inhabited by the influential and richest families of the Gdańsk patriciate, mayors, rich merchants and ship owners. The oldest preserved houses were built in the Middle Ages but most of the buildings come from modern times. They are houses with narrow facades crowned with gables or attics. Richly decorated with coats of arms and allegorical figures or figures of ancient heroes.

When you visit Gdansk old town region this is the main street. There is lost of old architecture buildings and historical monuments. Every corner you can find some museums and Statue. Make sure when you enter the street your phone charge full because you will be tired to take photo of every single thing.

Lovely place but I'd recommend coming early in the morning. If you come too late you won't see any nice buildings etc, but thousands of people squeezing together. Restaurants are nice, but pricier than those 1 street away, so have that in mind. (Also VERY busy Friday-Saturday evening)

This is a must visit street when you are in Gdansk. It has very beautiful colored buildings on both sides of the street and the Historical museum's tower in the the last third of it which makes a very beautiful combination and gives inspiration for lots of beautiful photos. If you like photography, this should be your number one place to visit. on the other hand, it has a lot of shops, restaurants and cafes and some of the important museums and touristic attractions are located in there as well, and some others are very near around.

Long Market is the gem of the city. You can walk half of your time there and won't get bored. English is spoken quite well around. Quite tourist friendly. Mariacka Street, Neptune fountain, Golden Gate, Maritime Museum and WW-II Museum are all at stone throw away distance.

Really beautiful and the street is full of life! Too bad there's constantly a lot of people trying to get you to strip clubs and burlesque shows where they scam you and they don't always quit trying even when you say no to them.

The key attraction in Gdańsk. Looks nice and full of people. Having that said I thought it looked a lot better than it actually was. It’s a long street but would have been nice to see better stores along the street as most of the stores I felt I did not really want to go and take a look.

Dluga street is the main Street of Gdansk, unlike many other cities of Poland, Gdansk doesn't have main square and instead of that it's this street where crowd gathers for weekends or for any holidays. It's crowded with lot of people, restaurants and shops. Its one place which catches our attention easily as its just next to Motlawa river. You get to see lot of picturesque buildings which is inspired by Architecture of buildings in Amsterdam which is one of its kind in Poland and we won't see else where.

One of the most beautiful streets I have ever seen. Mostly destroyed in WW2, the old town has been amazingly fixed up to its former glory. I can't help walking down the street with my jaw dropped in awe. Made Gdańsk one of my favorite cities.

It's a must see when in Gdańsk. Everyone will be able to find something for themselves. There are restaurants, shops and landmarks. It's essentially a long street with many photo opportunities in a quaint old timey environment. You get to walk along until you hit the river and the ships. Definitely recommend for a half-day when in Gdańsk.

To cut to Gdańsk’s core and see a host of top monuments in one walk, take this horizontal route east towards Motlawa River between two city gates. Along Ulica Długa (Long Street) and then Długi Targ (Long Market), the Royal Way first got its royal designation in 1457 when King of Poland Casimir IV Jagiellon entered Gdańsk. Starting in the west at the Upper Gate and finishing at the Green Gate, the way is flanked by tall, narrow patrician tenements painted in jaunty colours and capped with gables. There are way more attractions and noteworthy sights on Trakt Królewski than we could cram into one paragraph. But at Długi Targ 44 do stop for a photo of the Artus Court, a Renaissance meeting place and stock exchange, now a branch of Gdańsk’s Historical Museum.

Lively vibe fills this street with numerous shops, the crowd of tourists and sightseeing spots (museums, historical sites, medieval buildings). One can easily spend the whole day visiting interesting locations, strolling with family and friends, dining or having a sip in the open air area. In the even there are young guys or ladies asking people if he or she wants to have a drink in fluent English, use your judgment and regular alert to decide.

A really nice town to stop by and enjoy the view. Many places to sit down like cafe’s and bars for some quick food and coffee. The old buildings are probably the main attraction there and if you have time id definitely recommend going there. If you are scared of crowds and many people id recommend to either find out when least people are there or not go as many tourists are there.

(Translated by Google) There weren't many tourists in January 2021, so you didn't have to squeeze your way through the crowd. Almost everyone is wearing masks. Długi Targ, Neptune's Fountain, Artus Court, Gates of Gold and Green, Granary Island, further on the Motława River. There is a lot to see. A very nice old town. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions related to the coronavirus, all cafes are closed. You can only buy something to go. As with most places of this type, it is sometimes difficult to park here. The parking lot at Targ Węglowy is sometimes full and you have to look for a place nearby. If you are in the Tri-City, Długi Targ and its surroundings are a must-see. Jeśli jesteś w Trójmieście, to Długi Targ i okolice to obowiązkowy punkt programu zwiedzania.

Great restaurants and cafes open from morning until late at night. You can start with a coffee breakfast in the morning and eat a really good meal in the evening by choosing one of the many restaurants. Beautiful tenement houses. Possibility to buy ice cream and souvenirs. Lots of tourists and bustle, but it's so pleasant. The streets are clean and tidy, because the city keeps things tidy every day. This is also where various street performers take place and that is phenomenal. When I am in Gdańsk, I try to book a hotel in this area. (Original) Fenomenalne miejsce w Gdańsku .
