Good to see there is a monument for the fallen. Shame there is not full access for wheelchair users, there is a lot of work being carried out so maybe they will rectify this.

Good tourist attraction! I recomend.. But there is no museum, its just a memorial.. just to avoid the confusion with the Actual Worls war II museum which is located in another place! Cheers!

Nice atmosphere and awasome bay. You must see the tower too and it's little tricky to find. When you go to beach look at the right side, it's middle on the trees.

This is Westerplatte... Excellent area not only to see historical sites from beginning of ww2 but also good for afternoon walk. Over 14 separate stations ranging from ammo storage sites, to bunkers. Don't forget to see the medieval Medieval Keep on the way out.

Cool to see the site of the invasion into Poland but public transport only comes and goes once an hour and taxis don't pick you up there. It was absolutely freezing and we were told that the museum was closed so we were stuck waiting outside. I would recommend that if you want to come here you should do so in High Summer but really it's just a big statue. Bus stop could do with a serious renovation and things need to be signposted better overall

Fascinating museum that includes Japan, Spain, Russia, France and some other countries involved in WWI. I think that is one of the best in Poland. worth investing a few hours for that.

A casual walk through history. Westerplatte is a wonderful place to explore on a sunny afternoon. The monuments are worth the trip. The majority of the area is on flat, level pavement. However, there are a few steps that would make having strollers or wheelchairs a little difficult. Additionally, to get to the main memorial, there are quite a few steps up an incline. The memorial is still wonderful at ground level, however, to get up close I would assess the area prior to making the hike! Free parking as well with some local vendors along the way. Highly reccomend!

We got the pirate ship from Gdansk and we didn't know where to go when we got off as there's not many signs. We eventually found our way to the museum which was a beautiful wall along the tracks and beach with information and remains of the war along the way. It's interesting and a nice walk

I love history especially when you come to Poland and you get another side of it from those who lived it. Very cool, outdoor museum loaded with World War II history from where it all began!! If you like long walks, this museum will not disappoint!

Great place to visit. One can learn a lot of new and interesting things about the start of WW II there. Also visiting this place won't cost you a penny because access to the park is completely free.

Well it is a historical site and some may claim it has some "spirit" due to this fact but to be honest there is not that much to see, hardly any exhibition and a monument without context or information. I don't recommend going there. Rather spend your time in the world war 2 museum of the city or the solidarnosc museum. much better use of your time!

Most info posted is in Polish only. However, with the displays can still see the horrific events the Polish people want through. Sad place but we need to remember!

It is amazing to be taken back to the times when the II WW started in the north of Poland. Displays walk people through the first few cruel days of the just starting second world war. The bravery of Polish solfiers is an example for all to defend freedom despite of the odds. Respect Poland!
