Would recommend to have polish zloty (PLN) with you if you are planting to go up the lighthouse. They do not take Card or Euro. It was a worth visit, looks Amazing and a must visit historical site.

Small but atmospheric. We missed the drop of the time ball, but it still was a nice visit. Great view from above. Payment by cash only.

An old light house also kept for navigation time keeping. The ball on the top of the light house goes is raised to the top exactly at 12, 2, 4 & 6 hours. Some 100 steps to the top and gives quite good views of the Gdansk bay.

Beautiful, one of the most historical place in the world. The lighthouse where the firsts shots of the the second World War were fired. Well mantained. The time bowl still works: goes up then down every day at 12, 14, 16 and 18. If you're lucky enough to meet the "captain" jacek who usually sits in front of the lighthouse, let him tell you the history of the lighthouse, the history of his life, and other interesting things like the purpose of the time bowl and how it works. It's really worth it! A super sweet and beatiful person.

We visited as part of a circular cycling route. Glad we came across it but would have been disappointed if had made a special trip. Its not expensive (by UK standards) but time you've paid the entrance for a family of 5 its not good value. All you do is climb the stairs, take in a couple of [not overly attractive] views and come back down! A few info boards (in English) but not much else. Its an attractive building but they could improve by restoring the time ball. Good to have visited THE place WW2 [supposedly] started!

Love it, the view is the best throughout Gdansk (sorry, wieża kościoła Mariackiego) and the calmest one. Yet, it is quite tricky to get to the place in the first place. But totally worth it.

World war || started in this lighthouse from one of the windows. A monument was placed in the spot where the first bullet hit. The monument is visible from the window and top of the lighthouse. Definitely visit if you're in the area.

Historic building with great views from the top balcony. Needs a bit more on the outside and shelter from the sun 🌞.

The place one day was full of life and people went there to spend good time fishing and see the beautiful boats entering the channel, now the place is closed 💔
