Excellent food and beers (crafted there), it is hidden under the surface, only small entrance near the fountain, if weather is good, there's also the possibility to sit outside, recommended place for food and beer

Awesome beer, terrible food ( said by friends ) Sure, I can disclose more details. There was a typo in my review. Beer was pretty good, with high prices (obbiously, old town square) Food was just bot good, stale, terrible cheapest ketchup instead of homemade sauces you would expect for this price. I was there couple Years ago. My sister ordered meatballs - It wasnt edible. Not much Has changed since then except for beer.

My husband and I first met by the Neptune Fountain in Gdańsk 6 years ago- neither of us are from Poland or live there, but we love it so much that we decided to get married in Gdańsk - right next to where we first met and have our wedding reception at Piwnica Racjow and all I can say is WOW! The food, service and experience were incredible. All of our guests complimented the high quality and taste of the food and the generous portion sizes! They enjoyed the selection of wine and amazing beers too. I would highly recommend Piwnica Rajcow as a venue for an event. Even for over 100 guests there was no compromise on how amazing the quality of the food was. We visited several times for lunch or dinner before the wedding and always enjoyed the great quality food and fair prices- the cocktails and desserts are also amazing! The place is so so beautiful and with so much history, in such an important location in Gdańsk, we will visit Piwnica Rajcow everyime we visit Gdańsk for sure. With huge thanks to the Owner and lovely staff for an incredible experience xxx

We came here to try their craft beers and decided to also stay and try some of the recommended dishes. I personally was not impressed by the food. Both dishes were recommended by the house and I personally didn’t find them excessively tasty. The duck dumplings lacked some side dish and were quite dry while the veil schnitzel was average. On the other hand, the beer tasting and their cocktails were a very good experience.

A really perfect dining experience 👌🏻 We had fish soups, roasted duck and duck dumplings - all really good. I specifically enjoyed roasted duck that was delicious and very mellow. Nevertheless, the dessert stole my heart - although it is my go-to-dessert when dining, the chocolate fondant at Piwnica Rajcow was one of the best I’ve ever eaten! (Later, when we praised the dessert to the waiter, we got to know that they received some awards for best dessert in Gdańsk in the past). In conclusion, if you wonder whether to eat here, I totally recommend to try it out. We usually avoid dining in touristic parts of the cities, but this one was a 100% great experience.

A really nice place underground the pedestrian street in Gdańsk. They do their own beer and alcohol and makes tremendous food! Can really recommend this place if you want well prepared traditional Polish food and like to try some well crafted beer!

Always good food and a selection of beer. Add this place to your visit I'm Gdańsk. Ask for a beer card, you then decide how much beer to pour and which beer you want to drink. Or go for a set of taster

Huge microbrewery/restaurant/pub hidden behind the Neptune fountain. The brunch was huge and tasty. I need to come back and try their beer and food.

After just arriving in Gdansk, this place was recommended to us for local craft beer. The beer and soup were Eveleth as well as our server Oskar. If you are a craft beer person and like hometown breweries, check this place out.

Food was great. Had a fantastic Golonka. Service is very good and the place looks awesome inside

This is a rustic (and underground) brewery with character, an impressive selection of beer, and good food. The location (next to the Poseidon Statue) makes it a convenient spot to take a break from shopping and sight-seeing in the quaint Old Town Gdansk area. The molten-chocolate/ice cream desert was amazing!

Excellent local authentic cuisine. We ordered the duck leg and the crispy pork, both were delicious. We also shared the chocolate fondue dessert. The waitress was attentive and the service fast. We would visit again.

Visited this Micro brewery in middle of Gdansk to sample the local craft beers. If you didn't know where to go it would be difficult to find but it is a great place to sample beers. It is down stairs behind the Neptune Fountain. Well worth a visit.

Had the rye bread soup, veal schnitzel and apple pie. Amazing flavours, which tasted very Polish, such as smoked sausage. Crispy schnitzel. Good portion size and fair prices. Cosy inside, comfy seats. Very efficient service from the staff. Much enjoyed. Buy a beer too, goes well with the meal.

Excellent food and atmosphere. We sat in the cellar as the weather was unstable. The waitress was very polite and had excellent English ( also French and Spanish!). We had the best pierogi we had tried ( with duck and ginger in a berry sauce) and cod with black rice and a herb crust. The red wine was also excellent ( only 4 euros a glass) and the beer too! Overall it was the best culinary experience by far that we had in Poland and will be remembered!

This review really is for my husband’s duck pierogi, which he truly enjoyed. Six pierogis are plated very nicely. Although he expected shredded rather than minced duck, he still said the flavours were exceptional, and finished it all. I had his side salad, which I thought was a bit much at 12 zloty, as it was truly tiny. But the dressing atop was very good. I’m a pescatarian and the menu definitely steers toward meat. There is a cod main, and some veg options: a halloumi burger, some of the mains, but nothing super exciting (to me at least). As others have said, the brewery facilities are impressive but neither of us drink beer.

Here was really excellent service inside the town hall of Gdansk situated near to Artus Court. They have quite an extensive menu of great Polish food. I had duck two ways - breast and leg, it was absolutely deliciously cooked, nice and soft and the beer here is excellent. Highly recommended for an evening meal. They have an large beer menu as well so if you like to try a few different beer types, this is a great place to give those a go too!

Tasty food, but service was extremely slow. A guest with a rotten scalp made us lose the appetite. I still get sick thinking about it

So, the staff was great. They were busy so service was a bit slower than this ex-pat/New Yorker would’ve liked. But also, so what.. just to hurry up and get back to the hotel room? Everyone was always pleasant, and they sat me at a table for four, despite that there was a party of 4 waiting right behind me (after being seated, I did offer to give up my place, but the waitress declined saying that I was also waiting. 👍👍) How could I complain about that? I had the beer tasting and their fish & chips. The best beer for me was their Viennese Lager. The Baltic Porter was a close second. The others were a bit too bitter for my taste. But of course, the more you drank the better they all tasted…. F&C… the fish was good, not your typical British/Scottish style but, well, I assume a more northern-Polish variant. Still tasty. The “chips” were just your basic fries and a lot of them. All in all, a 2.5, but also I don’t think people come here for that. I would happily come here again and try a burger or something (there were many interesting options in the menu).

A place worth visiting. Their main specialty is their brewed beer, so beer enthusiasts will be pleased. The food is really tasty, many dishes, mainly Polish cuisine. The pierogi with duck and pumpkin gnocchi were incredibly delicious. The pizza was just okay (but it isn't just a pizzeria so it isn't a big issue). The place itself is huge and spacious. The atmosphere is great and the service is attentive.

if you want to taste Polish cuisine and their brewed beer, I recommend stopping by here. Pleasant service, tasty and somewhat unusual food.

Very nice beer and food. Maracuja in the desert.

Brewery come restaurant. Tried the tasting menu of brewed beers. All were good but maybe I expected a little more. Same could be said about the food. Service was good too.

This resteraunt is hidden away in a basement off the main Street. But once you go inside, it is beautifully decorated, has an amazing atomosphere. You can the brewery pumps/containers beyond the glass wall. The food was delicious. We asked the waiter to recomend us some good polish food. I had the polish dumplings. They were so good. The waiter spoke perfect English and he was really nice, acomodating and friendly. I recomend everyone who is visiting Gdansk to to here.

Lovely place, just hundred metres from the Neptun statue. Big variety of their beers and most important very good beer snacks and dinner food. The personnel is really nice and helpful

  • 5/5 Maksymilian G. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely place with low prices. Traditional Polish soup Żurek served in the way it is supposed to be served. Worth to try different types of beer from their own brewery.

Wow! In a perfectly central location, the food was exquisite, well balanced and plentiful, the staff was very nice, the service was energetic but not rushed and prices were very fair. We had a glimpse at other people's dishes and they all looked awesome. The inside space is also great, with basically two different moods to choose from: the more animated area with the beer brewing equipment behind a glass wall, or the more intimate area with cosy alcoves.

Sausage salad was nice. Pretzel was good, not too salty. Service excellent and greeter was pleasant. Good locally produced pils.

I really liked this place, a combination of a brewery and good food. The value for money is always good and the food is fantastic, in a meaty way. My only comment is i like a steak tartare to be chopped as opposed to ground. The beer was nice, the NZ IPA was a hoppy belter

  • 2/5 Amir A. 2 years ago on Google
What this place has going for it is the view, right by the Neptune Fountain. Sit here and enjoy the gushing river of tourists posing for pictures at the fountain. That's really what one is paying for. The food? If the vegetarian pizza is any indication, the restaurant is little more than a tourist trap. That being said, the IPA is decent. On the other hand, the so-called "Baltic Porter" was gravely disappointing.

👍👍 During an epic roadtrip in the Baltic we found ourselves in Gdansk needing a beer. We popped into Billy's while walking and enjoyed a burger and ribs. Good service and good atmosphere with a nice view of the river.
