What a perfect place for a great family outing. So green and nicely planned, with an enormous parking (35zl whole day) with many portable toilets awaiting. There are 2 entries so it's never too crowdy and we got our tickets online so were able just to walk in but there was no queue to buy them from their ticket booths. After entering you decide where to go first. There are wild animals from allover the world such as monkeys, lions, pygmy hippos, camels, giraffes, zebras, capibaras and many antelopes as well as apes, reptiles and birds. There's also area with farm animals but we didn't go there. It was very clean, with many toilets and rubbish bins. There're multiple refreshments places offering ice-cream, fast food bits and at least 2 restaurants as well as souvenir shop and stall. We spent 5 hrs there and had fun all the way. Pity, that there was so many silly people feeding the animals, petting them and worse - encouraging children to put their tiny hands through the fence and touch the wild animals!

Probably the best zoo I’ve ever been at, simply for the fact that the zoo is huge... it’s HUGE!!! It gives the animals a whole lots of space and therefore also more enjoyable for the visitors. The zoo is located in a forest kinda place and very close to nature and extremely low amount of traffic around the zoo. The animals look healthy and well raised thanks to the staff. The only animal who in my opinion had “too small” cage were the two tigers 🐅. But to my understanding this zoo is under construction and hopefully the tigers will also get bigger cage as they deserve. A trip to the zoo will always be a good idea for the weekend. There are a lot of animals, they are well-kept, some are funny and some can be scary :D Where else will you see a giraffe or a tiger? I highly recommend it, not only for children.

This is such a great zoo! It's set out in a large area, so I do recommend spending the whole day to make sure you have time to wander round, get some food and enjoy the animals (I spent so much time watching all the monkeys for example, they were so much fun and most species had a baby!) I recommend getting there early, I got there pretty close to opening time (number 6 - there's a handy little board near the entrance which counts how many people visit each day) and got some incredible views of some of the animals you might miss later on. For example the male lion was in the little inside bit and came right up to the glass, about 5-10 mins later the main enclosure was open so he was only visible through the binoculars as it's quite a big enclosure. I'll just add my caveat as to why this is a 4 star - when I went it seemed that every restaurant on the right hand side of the zoo was closed. Either just closed or getting work done. This is probably not a regular thing, I did go in October which is the off season, so perfect time to get necessary work done

There are restaurants, cafes and confectioneries on site, with small but nice food choice. There are wheelchair accessible toilets. Prices are similar to those downtown.

As for facilities, then there is a pet zoo that opens in May, toilets are in several places, but not necessarily more than one at each place. There are food and drink vendors and picnic area as well as several benches around. There is also a dinosaur park and and action park with climbing paths, but these are all subjects to extra pay. As beautiful as I imagine the park is during summer, prepare for staring at vast amounts of green fences and cages. Some mate seeing the animals hard. All together, this is an old zoo that carries the mark of lack of fundings to better the living conditions of the animals. This zoo isn't anywhere close to the one in Paris or Copenhagen, but it's a nice trip for the kids. And the zoo probably badly needs all ticket income they can get if anything is to be refurbished.

I love this zoo and it's one of the favorite walking spots. Be prepared for three hour long walk, though, and distances you thought are impossible to cover by foot, because this place is huge. I give this zoo five stars because of how pleasantly it changes - in the last four years it constructed new place for lions, hippo, brand new Cafe, which is excellent, outdoor aviary too. It will soon have brand new food place, which replaces old '90s wooden atrocities. This place really wants to take both animals and visitors to higher level and it shows. Very recommended.

There was such a great variety of animals and they had amazing enclosures, with plenty of information on the animal and it's endangered rating. That animals all looked happy and did not appear stressed whatsoever. It really was an amazing day out. Would 100% recommend.

I was very disappointed during my visit as many animals were not in the cage: No Tigers 🐯, Lions 🦁, Elephants 🐘,Hippos 🦛, Wolfs 🐺, giraffes🦒 and some others. On top of this the path is not as described on the maps, there are some restrictions which are inconsistent with the maps and you can get confused. Most of the animals look happy and with enough space, only the Apes looked like little sad. I would take my kids for to spend half day there, but probably only once. It's a shame because the area has a big potential and could be much nicer and interesting.

If you are in the area and looking for something to do, then I would definitely visit here. An absolute Bargain entrance few. Lovely setting, great variety of animals. Plenty of places to eat and drink and benches to rest, which you will need. You easily spend a whole day here. Wear comfortable shoes, as there is lots of walking. If you are not good at walking, you can rent a bike, or there is a bus. You can even rent a little a cart to pull your children around in! Which I wish we had gotten. There is ample parking, but it's to one side of the zoo, so not ideally placed. All in all though, 100% recommended!

Wir haben heute einen sehr schönen Tag im Danziger Zoo gehabt. Sehr großes Gelände und sehr weitläufig. 99% der Tiere hatten sehr schöne und große Gehege, was uns gefreut hat. Einzigst die Krokodile und Elefanten könnten etwas mehr Platz vertragen 🙂 Umgerechnet haben wir, 2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind (4 Jahre), knapp 20€ gezahlt. Neue kleine Cafés im Zoo, die wirklich super guten und leckeren Kaffee anbieten. Für eine Kugel Eis und einen Kaffee Latte haben wir 4.50€ gezahlt. Der Kaffee hat 5 ⭐️ verdient Mitarbeiter waren freundlich Die Toiletten waren meist sauber, worüber wir überrascht waren, denn viele schrieben, sie seien dreckig. Nicht so schön waren die Glasscherben im Sandkasten auf dem Spielplatz. Der Zoo bietet Touren mit dem Auto an.. schöne sache, leider fahren einige Mitarbeiter so, als wäre es eine öffentliche Straße. Finden wir nicht so toll, denn es befinden sich immer noch Kinder und Besucher auf den Wegen! Warum bei den Seehunden kein Wasser war, konnten wir uns nicht erklären Kleiner Zoo Shop ebenfalls vorhanden; jedoch abgesperrt, sodass man nicht eigenständig sich alles ansehen kann. Aber rundum ein sehr schöner und gelungener Tag und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Unschlagbares Preisleistungsverhältnis. Wir waren an einem Mittwoch dort und zahlten für 2 Erwachsene und ein 4 jähriges Kind nur 85 Zloty. Die Artenvielfalt die einen geboten wurde war wirklich sehr beeindruckend. Das Gesamte Gelände war sehr weitläufig, grün, üppig bepflanzt und gut gepflegt. Einige Dinofiguren im Wald gab es auch noch zu bestaunen. Die Gehege waren bei fast allen Tieren sehr großzügig und schön gestaltet. Die Krokodile hatten es allerdings nicht so schön fanden wir. Die Löwen z.B. dafür um so mehr. Die Cafés unterwegs waren toll, sehr leckerer Kaffee und schmackhaftes Eis. Die kleinen Busse für die Rundfahrten werden von einigen Fahrern teilweise als Rennwagen benutzt...unmöglich, vor allem da hauptsächlich Kinder mitfahren und auf den Wegen unterwegs sind. Auf dem einzigen Spielplatz den es gab lagen leider einige Scherben rum, geht gar nicht... Insgesamt ein sehr tolles Ausflugsziel. Zu Empfehlen.

Sehr schöner und weitläufiger Zoo. Gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (Bus) erreichbar. Viele Tiere mit meist großzügigen Gehegen. In den Wintermonaten nicht allzu stark besucht, aber ein schönes Ausflugsziel zu einem günstigen Preis. Auf dem Zoogelände befindet sich auch ein nettes Café zum Aufwärmen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.
