This is the gate which leads to pedestrian way to Motlawa river. Very crowded bustling with lot of people, restaurants, eateries. Tower clock is here, basilica church is also on the side of this way, half way mark we will get Neptune fountain. You get to hear music, see paintings done in matter of few minutes, get hold of snakes around your neck etc. One can spend easily some time strolling around starting from this gate.

The old city of Gdansk was truly amazing, many of the buildings were damaged in WW2 but the fronts are wonderfully reconstructed. Would go again.

One of the major landmarks of Gdańsk. Like most of Gdańsk, it was effectively destroyed in WWII, so what you’re seeing is basically a recreation, rebuilt in 1957. The fact that it’s not original, & is currently surrounded by construction, kinda makes it not all that impressive…but, it’s still a required stop on most tourist itineraries (& an easy meeting point)

Went in late August. Just the right amount of visitors (not too crowded), easy to find and lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.

At the moment its under construction. So You cant see all the details. Still its quite nice, specialy if you are on city tour. Our guide explaimed that those eight women on top represents citys values.

This gate was one of the most beautiful buildings I saw in all of Gdansk. Go through it and you'll see even more beautiful buildings like it, shops and cafes on both sides, and eventually you'll get to the channel, which is also beautiful, but walk slowly and savor every moment and every pastel pink, green and blue building, decorated with paintings and gargoyles.

It is a nice place to visit, early 17th century construction. The door is right at the beginning of a pedestrian street and opposite the amber museum. Now at Christmas time there is also a Christmas market in front of Golden Gate. Inside the door you can see photos of the city when it was destroyed in the II World War.
