(Translated by Google) This place is a must visit. This is where Hans Memlig's "Last Judgment" is. You must stay at this place. An amazing impression. The porcelain exhibition is ... a sweetheart. Only these ticket controls in each exhibition hall. This is a slight exaggeration. Walking around the rooms you feel the eyes of people guarding the room (they are not bodyguards), only ladies in aprons. One of the ladies was knitting, that's ... pure Polish People's Republic. Or maybe this lady was supposed to remind us of the past times 🤔 (Original) To miejsce obowiązkowo należy odwiedzić. To tu znajduje się obraz "Sąd Ostateczny" Hansa Memliga. Koniecznie trzeba zatrzymać się w tym miejscu. Wrażenie niesamowite. Wystawa porcelana to... cacuszko.

Intetesing and unpretentious museum in Gdańsk. Focus on protestantism and the art during the free-city of Gdańsk period.

Great exhibition. Ancient historical and biblical art. The rooms are very attractive. We didn't take a guided tour because we were unfortunately too late. I can highly recommend the museum.

Beautiful old national museum. Friday is free entry day. This museum is not that big, it has few exhibition rooms on the first and second floor. 1-2 hour visit time is recommended.

As expected there are lots of religious treasures to be enjoyed here and Last Judgment on the 2nd floor is certainly the diamond on the crown. There are few visitors on Sunday morning, so you can take your tie enjoy the artistic masterpiece. In additional there are paintings of landscape, still, royal characters. The Holy Trinity Church is next to the museum for you to check out. The admission to the museum is 10zl. for adult.

Super liked this place. Loads of different exhibitions, all well described in English, lots of different types of objects from many different eras and sometimes countries, but particularly cool to get the background on Polish art and history. The building itself is spacious and pretty

A small muzeum with different pieces of art. Free entrance on Fridays. Big and beautiful building inside but in case of art seems a bit empty. You can see paintings, wooden statues, silver and gold made art as well as ceramic and some furniture. A quick visit for 30 minutes is enough to see it all. The master pice is very big and nice to see (on one of pictures). Not a top 1 to see but if a rainy day worth it.

Definitely worth seeing! The wooden sculptures are breathtakingly beautiful, the examples of painting are fantastic. Everything is shown in such a way that you can almost touch the character of the eras, work, gender roles, sophistication from the late Middle Ages to the Rococo, relationships between the everyday world, science and art are presented easily and conveyed briefly and precisely, especially about the Baroque understood something. The international interconnectedness of the city of Gdansk, and how long this has been going on, is easier to understand here than in Hamburg, Bremen or Lübeck, I say as a Hamburger.

When I was there they had a good collection of art in the building, really gives you an idea of what how much Poland was like before the it's invasion. If you have a couple of hours free, this is a nice place to visit.

Waiting in front of this sign, because there were already 8 people inside, I am passed by a guide and her group of 3 visitors - ignoring the rules, and me, completely. When I complain to an attendant, she tells me that the guide works for the museum...! And she does nothing to amend the situation. To add insult to injury the guide is not even wearing a mask, which is strictly obligatory indoors in Poland.

Small museum, we didnt even spend 1 hour. Many things arent polish, the painter were german, french or dutch. And the only highlight painting is even stolen (see wikipedia), but is still kept in Gdansk. Most description werent translated into english, why do you call this a museum, when you dont inform properly?

Very disappointed that we flew from Canada to see Poland's most beautiful sites and we had only Monday to spent in Gdańsk but the museum is closed on Mondays (I am guessing it is some kind of communistic leftover or government beaucocracy). Not tourist friendly and should be changed. Pocałowaliśmy klamkę....

A great museum just a little bit outside of the busy Gdańsk. It got great collection of silver and painting. Old medieval painting were quite impressive. The most popular exhibit that is the Memling's The Last Judgment, made an amazing impression on me. The method of painting exposure is phenomenal. Setting the lights and their concentration made me achieve a zenital artistic experience. When I visited the museum, there weren't many people in it, so being alone with an artwork in this atmosphere got me in close contact with art and in that magic state of emotional sensibility experiencing art. I highly recommend, especially since many Poles and Gdańsk residents don't know what treasure they have

Hardly a museum more an art gallery with some antique furniture, very underused building a little off main tourist route. However a great collection of paintings and medieval religous figures and silverware and of course Memeling,s triptych,it's main exhibit.

Closed indefinitely. Why is it on the tourist card then? To make people walk all the way here for nothing??
