A nice place, filled with interesting views. It allows you to catch your architectural breath. A walk there is just a pleasure, as evidenced by the crowds of walkers.

In the 13th century, the street functioned as a merchant tract with a continuation in the form of an oval market square. After the occupation of Gdańsk by the Teutonic Order, the street became the main road of the entire Main City. Since 1331, it was defined in city documents as "Longa Platea". In the Middle Ages, the entire stretch from the then Long Street (today's Golden Gate) gate to the Koga Gate (today's Green Gate) was one street.
