Beautiful location next to the city centre though the service could be better as they couldn't find a booking and we just had to wait for 1.5h before I want back and they just gave us a room

Fantastic rooms, wonderful staff who really love dogs. We were able to stay with our friendly black Labrador and the reception, breakfast and general staff all fussed over him. Great breakfast choices although my 8 year old son complained that there was no bacon 😄

Our stay at this hotel was an unforgettable experience that we'd love to share with fellow travelers. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received from the reception staff. They made us feel like we were their personal guests, and their genuine friendliness set the tone for our entire stay. The location of this hotel is truly one of its strengths. It's conveniently situated near all the major tourist attractions, making it easy for us to explore the city. We could walk to museums, parks, and restaurants, which saved us a lot of time and transportation hassle. As for our room, it was both spacious and comfortable. The bed was a delight to sleep in, and the room was equipped with modern amenities like a TV, air conditioning, and a refrigerator. The cleanliness was also impeccable, and we felt genuinely taken care of. However, what stood out most about this hotel was its staff. They were always available to assist us with questions, offer advice on what to see and do in the area, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their sincere concern for our well-being was admirable and made our stay extra special. In summary, this hotel is a hidden gem. With affordable prices, a prime location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional service, it's truly an excellent choice for travelers. We felt fortunate to have experienced this hotel, and we look forward to visiting again in the future. It's undoubtedly one of the best hotel experiences we've had, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area.

Five night stay in April. The comfortable room and the friendly and helpful staff made my stay very pleasant! The room is clean and has a comfortable bed, a beautiful view and a luxury bathroom I wish I had at home :) Nice detail is the heated mirror which prevents fog after taking a shower. The room decorations of ancient Gdańsk are cute. The breakfast is very good and has a lot of choices. There's a lot to see in/around Gdańsk, so I hope to be able to come back one day! I'll definitely choose the same hotel.

Although I was only there for one night, it was a good experience. Well located only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and shops. Nice and clean

This hotel is such a disappointment, and I don’t even know how to start. To reach the outlet near the bed, someone needs to lie on the floor. The blow dryer is a joke, and it does not do a good job. The outlet in the bathroom does not allow you to use your blow dryer. The nightstands are filthy. And the pillows are for kids. The bed is pretty comfortable—10 out of 10.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Old city centre. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food.

Our stay at the Mercure was a dream come true. From the breathtaking views of the old town to the spacious and comfortable rooms, everything exceeded our expectations. The attentive staff and the scrumptious breakfast added to the overall experience. If you find yourself planning a trip to Gdansk, make sure to book a stay at this remarkable hotel. We promise you won't be disappointed!

Very convenient hotel. Clean rooms and corridors. Very cosy reception and restaurant. A dining room and conference facilities are available too. All rooms on higher floors have good views either on the port or on the town centre. You can see either sun rising or setting, depending on the direction. The only thing I was missing was sauna.

Hotel with perfect view to old town. Near of old city, modern, numbers are big with air conditioner, personal very good, breakfast was perfect. Very high class restaurant, meal was perfect, prices like in restaurant, but atmosphere was perfect. Service also was very good.

Great place to stay in Gdansk! Very centrally located within walking distance of several shops. There is a El Corte Ingles across the street. This mall has everything you could possibly need including laundry. Hotel has a great little restaurant also.

Very Nice Hotel with friendly people. The receptionist made a little mistake by the check-in and directly offered us some drink voucher for that little mistake. We had a comfortable, clean room. The beds are very very comfortable! I would definitely come back to Mercure!

The location was great. It was in walking distance to the Old Town. Gdansk is a great walking city. Our room was on the 10th floor overlooking the old ship yard. The room was a bit dated but comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Another superb stay at this hotel. Clean and quiet rooms allow you to have a good night's sleep. The glass shower door was exceptionally clean - I didn't even realise it was there at first!

Going to Gdańsk on a working trip for the second time. As many times I had the pleasure to stay at the Mercure Hotel near the Old Town. The hotel is right in the center of the city a few blocks aways from the old town. The place is quiet and the people working at the desk are kind and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and warm. I recommend the Mercury Hotel for it's location and the whole service. Have a good stay :)

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Room was really comfortable, I liked the commitment to being more environmental friendly and the water fountains located in the hotel. Breakfast was fabulous with magnificent choice of local food, there was even an option to make a fresh fruit juice.

Awesome location in the old downtown, the building is one of the tallest ones in the area so you will have a nice view. Breakfast buffet is very tasty

Nice hotel with clean rooms and beautifulview, situated just about 8min walk from train station and town centre. Good bar space downstairs for a drink, also serving food. Will definitely stay there when next time in Gdańsk.

Nice hotel, located on walking distance to the centre. Friendly staff who was always happy to help. Especially loved the free bike service. This ment we had the opportunity to explore Gdansk by bike. We got a room with a view at the centre and it was a good room although some tear and wear is visible. Breakfast is ok but a bit on the heavy side for me with stuffed eggs, beans and even rice. But in conclusion a good place to stay when visiting Gdansk.

Confortable rooms. The breakfast had plenty choices. There is also room service available, and the guys in the bar were really helpful. I was here just for 2 days, for business. The conference room is also well equipped. The T-Bone steak was amazing what I had for dinner on the last day.

I cannot recommend the Mercure Stare Miasto highly enough. 6 of us (3 adults, 3 kids) stayed here at the end of July 2022. The rooms were well appointed, clean and to a good standard. (We had a view of the old town from ours). The staff were all professional and yet friendly and warm. The location, on the border with the old town, is perfect for a mix of culture (the old town is just stunningly beautiful) and shopping and museum visits, both of which are abundant. Breakfast has a good variety of choices but I never thought breakfast ice cream is or indeed should be a thing, but it is, and it’s great! On the Sunday night of our visit, we were out in the garden area around 9pm. All of a sudden we were treated to music and bells coming from St Catherine’s church behind the hotel. I can’t explain how beautiful this was. Trust me, go ask reception (I believe it’s a seasonal thing) and ask if the church does the music thing on Sunday night. Grab a drink, settle down and get ready for your new “happy place”! We did have an issue with a 3rd party booked via reception. When the booking went wrong (due to the 3rd party’s negligence), in stepped Alexandra, the customer experience manager, who immediately arranged an alternative. She is an absolute credit to the hotel. We fully intend to go back to Gdańsk, next time without kids and we will stay at this Mercure. Highly recommended!!

“Sloppy” is a word that describes this hotel. The building is nice and centrally located and views are great. However the staff do not care. The receptionist was completely checked out telling us to go to the restaurant for someone to help with a water cooler that was next to her five steps apart. Again the receptionist on our arrival date gave us keys that did not work and we had to travel back to the reception from the 16th floor. No apologies. No smiles no welcoming words. The cleaning staff did not return our greetings “hello” but just walk past silently. The male receptionist was friendly and clearly cared more! The room had totally empty shower gel bottle, the coffee was not refilled each day but we had to call someone to bring more coffee. The shower design on the privilege room was super weird with a door that was as wide as the entire bathroom and opening the wrong way, making movement in the room very difficult. The pillows were very old and out of shape. We’ve stayed in the same hotel before several years back but it seems the direction is not good. I would go elsewhere the next time. There are a lot better hotels in the city in the same price category.

Great location for visiting the sights of Gdansk. In addition to everything in the centrum, it is only a short walk to the main train station where you can catch trams to the rest of the city. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with a wide variety of food and plenty of space for everyone. Bathroom was a little cramped, but the bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet.

Very comfortable stay and good location. I enjoyed the welcome and front desk manager on the day was professional as I asked for a slight clarification on Accor ALL membership tier benefits. Probably understaffed at the bar and restaurant, but apart of a little wait and "what-do-you-want" vibe, this is a pretty good Mercure as far as the brand goes in terms of concept and positioning.

Hotel location is perfect, if you want to explore the city. The staff were friendly and kind in general. The bed was comfy and the view from the 17th was wonderful. The breakfast was very good, wide variety of food, plenty of free tables. It was not easy to sleep because of a metal music festival, I don’t understand the city, how it could have been allowed. This was something that the hotel cannot be blamed for, but not acceptable. The room was a bit outdated and also a bit dirty, but okay. The lady in the restaurant wanted to pick up our plates while we were eating, it was bothersome.
