Superb middle eastern food! Friendly and kind owner/chef. The decor makes you feel like you’re in Damascus with the water fountains, greenery, and traditional tea cups. We got the chicken shawarma meal, chicken kabob meal, shawarma sandwich meal and the ice cream…already planning our next visit.

By far..the best middle eastern restaurant in Syracuse. The ambiance was great!! The owner of the restaurant was such a nice and warm person. I ordered the Steak Meal and it was on point👍. I also had the most authentic, yummiest Baklavas. Moreover, our entire group of friends got rings as gifts from the owner, which was really kind of him. I will be visiting this place again to try out more of its menu. Highly recommended👏

Easily the best middle eastern food I’ve had in Syracuse. So much flavor and care went into the food. The dining experience was so pleasant, and we felt truly appreciated as customers. I already cant wait to go back!

This place is absolutely wonderful. Great food and a beautiful, clean environment. Hands down the best Arabic Food in Syracuse and I would recommend anyone give this place a try- you won’t regret it.

Excellent meal. Started with a Sambosa which had a lite and flaky crust and delicious filling. The Chicken Shwarma meal was very pretty and flavorful. The pickled vegetables added just the right tartness to the plate and the garlic sauce was one of the best things I've tasted in a while. Portions were generous enough that we brought them home. We finished with desserts that we also brought home. Wll definitely be back.

Was such a great meal! I was in town for business and had dinner here with a friend. SO glad we dined here- it was all delicious. We started with grape leaves and then got the falafel and lamb. Just fabulous, and the owner is incredibly kind. Anytime I'm back I will definitely come back.

Beef and chicken shawarma wraps are the best! I was searching for restaurants that serve middle eastern food near me and bumped into the reviews here. The pictures looked great so I figured that i had to try dining in here. I easily got a reservation and my dining experience turned out great!

First time here. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. It was recommended by some friends who said it was some of the best hummus they’ve ever had. It was very good. The grape leaves were perfect, tightly wrapped and fresh. The falafel meal was excellent. That’s how falafels should be served! We ordered the chicken kebabs and that was a nice size portion to share! Tasty. We finished with the stretchy ice cream. Many have raved about it but it was not my favorite but presented very well.

Loved it! Fantastic flavors, friendly staff, and clean. Watched them prepare the charcoal and then cook the chicken over it. The pistachio desserts were both great! They tasted like nuts, slightly sweeter, and a hint of savory from the ghee. Looking forward to visiting whenever I'm in town.

I finally went to Sinbad for a cup of coffee while waiting for an Uber & it was absolutely the best coffee I have EVER had! I still plan on going back for dinner, I had very limited time the night I tried their coffee. The inside dining area is beautiful & the server made sure to bring me water ,even when I explained I was just getting coffee. The coffee was clearly brewed to be served extremely fresh & it gave me a pick me up that no other coffee has before. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant, the atmosphere, service & the menu choices all sounded delicious. They are known for a lamb dish that is award winning. I noticed a great vegetarian menu that definitely caught my eye. The Baklava they served me was AMAZING!!!!!

Went for baklava, and it was fabulous. Little different from what I am used to from Anthony's in Falls Church ,VA. I now have 2 favorite places for Baklava. They were so nice when we went in and it was beautiful inside. I will be going for dinner there soon.

Wish I could give this place 6 stars! My husband and I live in Ithaca but pass through Syracuse regularly en route to/from the airport or route 90. Sinbad’s charming atmosphere has become an essential part of our routine. The food is delicious but never makes us feel grossly full, and the grape leaves are some of the best we’ve had in the northeast. The interior is cozy and thoughtfully decorated. We stopped there tonight, a snowy December evening, and immediately felt cheered by the antique tea sets, warm lights and table settings. And the service, every time, has been some of the best we could ask for. Staff who genuinely care about the food and their customers. There’s a sweetness to this place, and it’s not just in the baklava! It’s homey even for weary travelers. Don’t miss out on this neighborhood gem and its flavorful charm.

5/5 for me! All around! My birthday was on the 30th less than a week ago and I had really wanted to try Sinbad. I had never been there and had a craving for some delicious middle eastern food. My experience was wonderful. Nice relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I both ordered the Steak Shawarma Sandwich. It was cooked perfectly and the toppings really brought the savory flavors out. Our falafel we had for a starter was also delicious. My wife was also given a gift at the end of our dinner which was such a nice gesture! We both really appreciated the hospitality and the outstanding food. Absolutely recommend trying to stop here if you’re in the Syracuse area! We will most definitely be visiting again.

I hate to give such a marginal review for this place because I see all the positive reviews and by the replies from the owner and just seeing him at the restaurant gives me a very positive impression of him but I must tell it like it is... The atmosphere... Very nice and clean inside, in my opinion. A bit overly bright for dinner, maybe tone down the lighting a bit. I found it very noisy with a lot of background, white noise from the fans and maybe the soda machine along with the little waterfalls they have in there which were nice effect. But it just did not make it enjoyable for having a conversation with my wife. The service was okay. The waitress was very pleasant but she didn't know if my wife's falafel platter came with pita bread or not, I thought that was a little weird, although maybe she was new. She never followed up to see how we like the food after we were delivered it which I wish she did. My wife got the falafel platter which she liked, great presentation but she was expecting the falafel to be warmer than it was. It was mildly lukewarm. We're trying to keep an open mind... Maybe that's the way this is supposed to be served from the the owners origin. Our experience with middle Eastern restaurants are for them to be freshly made and sometimes actually hot. The big disappointment was my dish, a shawarma sandwich. Again very nice presentation but it just missed it... Since it was cut up into inch and a half slices it was hard to eat because the wrapping was so tough. There was no way to pick it up and actually eat it by hand, which is okay, but it was so tough I couldn't even cut it with the butter knife that was provided. Provided so I want to peeling back all but like the last layer that was somewhat softer because it was moist to eat it. I left the big pile of all that wrapping on my plate. I probably should have taken a picture of that for effect. I don't know. The other part was the little bits of beef were very chewy, I was very surprised at that as I expected very tender flavorful meat. It was basically little pieces of beef and kind of a yogurt sauce and that was it. And it was basically $20, more or less. I thought that was pretty expensive and actually our impression overall of the prices were pretty expensive for the entrees and sandwiches, not so much for the appetizers. On the positive side though, the waitress came at the end of the meal with a little box of trinkets, telling my wife she could pick a ring if she wanted, wish was truly an unexpected positive experience. And she also gave us little dessert cookies. Which again were unexpected and very positive. I truly feel bad giving this review and I'm sure people will disagree with it and I assume the owner will probably reply to it. I do not mean it in any negative way at all but just giving my honest opinion as someone who has been around the block a few times. I wish them the best of luck!
