Absolutely excellent! We went for lunch yesterday for our wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it. The service is excellent, the food absolutely delicious and the wine and drinks list was fantastic. We loved how some of the by the glass wines were offered by Coravin and the glassware was Riedel. We opted for the 2-course menu and added on dessert which took 3 hours to get through, therefore make sure you set aside enough time to fully enjoy the experience and all the deliciousness they offer at Merne.

We are so happy we chose Merne as our wedding venue! We had both the ceremony and reception at Merne, and it flowed so well. Sharon and Caleb are so accommodating and made the entire process so seemless for us. The day before the wedding we dropped a box of things to Merne and didn't have to stress on our wedding day as everything was set up perfectly when we arrived on the day. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect for our special day. Thank-you to Sharon and Caleb, and your wonderful staff, for absolutely everything! Highly recommend!

Had a friend’s wedding here recently, and cannot recommend it enough. Besides the beautiful winery/grounds, the venue was also amazing - great food, friendly service, and a fantastic vibe. Great for lunch or dinner, as well as a special event.

We had the 4-course lunch and enjoyed every dish - difficult to choose a favourite they were all delicious! Terrific service, nice choice of local wine and lovely scenery too, we will be back!!

We had a stunning rainy day lunch at Merne. The menu is fantastic value and very generous and each dish was truly delicious, my favourite was the smoked swordfish with fennel, apple, turnip and finger lime. They were accommodating of our dietary needs and the setting was just beautiful. Would be a lovely spot for a wedding.

Location and view are fabulous. Service and staff excellent. Ambience tops. Food served either as a 2 or 3 course set meal with something for everyone. Portions are good sized. Come here for a special occasion as prices reflect this. 4 stars!

Welcomed at the door into a delightful warm restaurant by the owner/hosts on a cold and dark night. The menu options are not extensive but they are exceptional and generous. True foodies will not be disappointed. Balanced, sophisticated and all were a delight to the palate.

Had a great night. Our waiter Mitch was excellent and provided great introduction to the restaurant. The set 2 course was more than ample and food well presented and prepared. Very tasty meal. Great drinks menu.

Highly recommend a visit to Merne it's a bit expensive but it truly is a dining experience. The food was amazing the service outstanding and the views spectacular. Give yourselves a treat and visit Merne you won't regret it ❤️ 😊

I love hidden gems and Merne at Lighthouse doesn’t disappoint. We were welcomed with warmth and ease. The dining area is cosy and relaxed encasing grand windows overlooking a verdant view. First time dining at Merne and happy to say it won’t be the last! We loved everything, food, service and location. We had the 2 course (which is more than ample for a lunch) plus a sneaky shared dessert. Thanks for a memorable meal.

An excellent experience from start to finish, with exceptional service. Our first time dining here (we were staying nearby at Ocean Grove), so we thought we’d try the two course option and it includes four entrees to be shared by the table. Every dish was superb, difficult to say which was the best, but the ocean trout was a standout of the entrees. The smoked pumpkin (with a truly delicious macadamia purée) and swordfish as our mains were absolutely spectacular. The pace at which the meals are brought out allows for an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly service of the team genuinely makes this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had for some time. There’s also a four course option if you’re inclined, but the two course option was more than ample to feel well satisfied. Will definitely be back!

I have been lucky enough to photograph weddings at Merne and oh man is it stunning, it's an absolute dream to photograph, oh and the food is ridiculously good. (I need to go back for a meal asap) You and your guests will have such a kickass day, do not hesitate to book this venue for your wedding :)

Merne is a must visit. Everything is top quality from the second you walk into the restaurant. The food blew me away with its depth of flavour and having each meal described to us prior to eating gave us a greater sense of what we were eating and a better appreciation for the flavours.

I'm a marriage celebrant and married a gorgeous couple there on recently. I loved absolutely everything at Merne. From the stunning Olive grove, outdoor Ceremony amongst the native bush, this is such a special and unique place. The hospitality and tremendous effort from Caleb, Sharon and staff really made everyone feel special and welcomed. The Food, was AMAZING!!! Every dish was superb!

We've had a few special occasion lunches at Merne, and have finally been able to experience a dinner here. It was spectacular service, food and drinks.

A long lunch with many cleverly curated ingredients skilfully combined, prepared and plated. The service was impeccable, the views relaxing, and the space was warm and welcoming. Every dish was delicious, but these were amazing: • Smoked swordfish, apple, turnip, fingerlime Octopus, chorizo, kipfler, paprika, grapefruit • Kangaroo, buckwheat, parsley, pecorino, pickled walnut • Rainbow trout, witlof, honey, walnut • Jerusalem artichoke, goat curd, celery, radicchio, treacle. Will definitely be back for the new menu in September
