HIDDEN GEM ALERT! OMG where has this place been?? I went here today to meet a few girlfriends because the location was halfway between us but little did we know what amazing wines, delicious food and fantastic and friendly service in a beautiful setting awaited us! I arrived early and decided to jump in & get started. Our fabulous server (the best!), Carter, suggested the sampler which essentially you pick a shot of 7 different wines to try before you commit to a glass of any of them. Genius! So for the price, it was a great deal and since we hadn't been there before it gave me a chance to try seven of the wines before committing. I jumped into trying a bunch of the sweet wines and while they did not disappoint! My top favorites were Prairie Mist, Prairie Fire, and Prairie Moscato! Soon my friends joined and we ordered the jalapeno popper dip with pretzel bun chips, and the cheese platter both of which were unbelievable! There was a butternut squash dip on the cheese tray which was so good we actually each ordered one to go and the chef was kind enough to make us each one that we could heat up at home! For dinner we shared the pulled pork Panini which was delicious as well as the turkey with pumpkin goat cheese Panini which was also delicious! Both sandwiches came with homemade chips which were super crunchy and excellent. All of us bought wine to take home in addition to our butternut squash dip and when I tell you we will be back it will probably be within the next month because this place was so good. We've already planned to get together again here as well as bring other friends! They also had music which was really nice in the atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly and the staff all had masks and made us all feel really welcome and I cannot wait to come back!

Nice winery in a small town. Very relaxed, no pressure or rushing through our tasting on a Saturday afternoon. Good variety from dry to semi-dry to sweet wines. Recommend tasting the Cab Franc. They also make their own spirits (gin & brandy). Nice patio in the back (tastings are only at the bar!)

What an absolute wonderful experience. The patio is beautiful and the staff is so friendly. We truly loved our first visit. Me and my partner both enjoyed a flight of wine, but my favorite was the "recovery noir". It's honestly the smoothest red wine I've ever had and I ended up ordering a few more glasses with our dinner as well as taking a bottle home. They have a very limited selection of food, which is one of my "negatives". That being said the Raspberry chicken sandwich was delicious. My personal critic would be to extand the selection a little and have a few salads and maybe a few kid friendly items as part of their menu. The other downside of the evening (and what lead to a 4 out of 5 rating) was just our observation of how management acted. It was clear he has rules for his staff that he personally didn't have to follow. We saw him sit with a few tables of people it seemed he knew, but he never approaches our table or really many others to see how the night was going. At one point a reserved party arrived and it was apparent it was for his 40th birthday celebration (there were balloons). I can't imagine he was off the clock for this event and he was certainly not managing his team as the staff had to cater to him and his party for more than 30 minutes before we finished our stay and left, him still partaking in gift opening and celebration. It just felt... Inappropriate, but maybe I'm being a prude. My personal opinion is lead by example. If it's inappropriate for your team members to be "overly friendly" with patrons, then you may want to reconsider got having them cater your personal birthday event while it seems like you're the only manager on staff for the night. Overall we had a great experience and will be back, with more friends. What a special little place in Genoa, IL.

This might be our favorite winery that we've ever been to. The building inside is neat. It has an old fashioned looking tin ceiling and a variety of places to sit. Out the back they have a patio reminiscent of an Italian villa. It has cobblestone, twinkle lights, a Magnolia tree and other beautiful plants. The music they play is 20's music, which is the perfect touch to the ambiance. A flight of seven wines is only $6, and if you buy a certain number of bottles you get the flight(s) for free. They have a huge variety of wines and they're all delicious. The staff was fantastic too. Great service.

Service was a little slow but okay. Bugs were biting so we ended up inside. Cheese board was cheeses straight from a Target or Walmart cheese tray. Nothing exotic or tasty about it. Still once inside.. Not a bad setting. Wines were nothing exceptional but better than some. Wide variety. Something there for everyone. Only food items you could order gluten free was the cheese board and they did have some Gluten free crackers to go with. Not real over priced. Good parking area... But in town no vineyards to look over. But still enjoyable once inside.

This is such a fun place to hang out with some wine and friends for an hour or three. They have wine tasting with some creative and original wines, really good small menu of food, and a great atmosphere. I love coming here after dinner, or on a lazy afternoon. Every visit I've had great service and a great time.

A strange jewel hidden in the rural midwest. There a customer can get a "flight" of various wines, from semi-dry reds, whites, to a Rhubarb wine, which was excellent, much to my surprise. Also there is a short menu of food items one can order. Try the Cubana sandwich, which is big enuf for 2 to share. Outside dining, live music (a guitarist) and a friendly chipmunk pokes its head out occasionally. Glad my wife talked me into going there.

Very good place to have a wine tasting with great food. The people there are really nice and talk in a very good way. I think the owner greeted us when we entered and showed us the table. We went on a Sunday so made sure we are at the right time they open. We tried the 4 glass wine tasting and it was so filling and great. The cheese platter was extremely good. We also ordered some food including a flat bread and a sandwich which we thought was not necessary. Overall it was a great experience and I would come here again

One of a kind winery experience! We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating a friend's birthday here. You can choose to have a wine flight or a tasting at your table with excellent sandwiches or delicious starters. Then shop the store for the favorite wine you tried during your meal. It's hard to pick up only one bottle because each label is designed by local artists and there's so many delicious wines to choose from.

Be prepared for a wait if coming during a busy time. 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month there is music in the garden (get there early)The Food is actually pretty decent and I recently learned they update based on the season so that's nice. No extra condiments/ spreads for sandwhiches though.

Holy Disappointing! My wife and I wanted to stop for a glass of wine and could not be more disappointed. Since we we not "members" we were shuffled in to a loud obnoxious dining area. Applebee's on a kids night would be more peaceful. Meanwhile, the large peaceful "lounge" had about 4 people, but apparently only reserved for important customers. Finally, the wine was terrible!

Wine tasting was very good. However I would take a pass on the food. Not only did we have to wait a long time to receive food. When they brought it out look like they main a made dash to the Costco for what was to be a cheese tray ,Flatbread pizza would have been better to skip.

Went there last month and we were outside. Beautiful little hidden garden with great wine selection. We just returned today for lunch and more wine. The service is great (Steve) and very helpful.

Delicious sandwiches and good chips along with great wines.....recipe for success! The outside seating area is beautiful and reminds me of something one might see in Europe. Delightful! We will be back. 👍

Went in for a quick lunch, had a few appetizers and wine flights instead. Left with a few bottles and full tummy's! Great service and recommendations on wine as well. Definitely be back again.

We had read that the winery was rated #1 in Illionois. So we took a drive that was less than an hour. The wine, food and service was very good and we had a great time.

First time visit! This place is impressive! They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. The ladies did a wine tasting, and I enjoyed a brandy Manhattan. My drink was fantastic. Will definitely be returning!

Wonderful food, and loved trying four different wines with a flight. Disappointed we couldn't get seated outside in the courtyard. Partially our fault, we didn't realize there was a car show going on today. Sure wish they took reservations.

Friendly service. Nice bites. I especially liked the housemade boursin cheese spread that was on the cheese tray.

Former wine club member. I used to enjoy coming here primarily as a short getaway from the city. Last visit, I arrived per usual to enjoy some wine with my partner. I attempted to go to the bar, order a glass of wine, sit down in the member lounge and relax. There was an event ( which no email was sent to notify, I guess it's FaceBook only which I do not use ). The "General Manager" informed me that I could not order wine from the bar, I need to go on a waiting list and the members lounge was full. He was cold, snooty and at no time attempted to engage me beyond a smug, dispassionate, blank stare. I explained to him this was out of context for me. I've been coming here for well over a year and this has been my routine since day 1. At no time has anyone told me the bar was for "tasting only". I explained this to him and it was a very bizarre interaction. I have a year at least of doing this very thing. I think he was really trying to be as passive aggressive as possible, primarily due to any lack of attempt to understand where my confusion was and what was going on. Additionally, he's telling me "no...you cannot order wine here" when I have done this for the past year. Not sure what his issue is but decided to grab my bottles, cancel the membership and never return. Whatever is happening in your life, you need to understand there is nothing special that would enable that sort of attitude. The wine is mediocre as well as the food and environment. The big draw for us was the peaceful outdoor setting in the summer and the lounge in the winter along with the small town vibe.

We went in on a busy Saturday night, sat in the members lounge around 6:30 pm. We quickly ordered our cocktail and bottle of wine with some food. At 7:50 our server told us the doors were closing in 9 minutes and asked if we needed boxes for our food. We had a couple bites left so replied that we were fine. Not 5 minutes later, the bartender came over with a takeout box in hand rudely saying “do you need a box”? Clearly the manager at the front instructed the staff to get us out. When we made our way to the front, there were several people in line. Staff were scurrying around trying to clean up. We picked up our quarterly box of wine, paid our bill and and left with a very bad taste in our mouth. The server was friendly and handled several tables in the members area, however, the rude bartender and manager could learn a few things about courtesy and customer service. In the past we were told that they allowed members to linger past the 8 pm closing to finish their drinks or meal. Clearly they have cracked the whip on that policy. By the sounds of other reviews, others have also experienced similar rudeness in recent months. There are always other options, than to drive a half hour to be treated in such a manner. We are seriously thinking of canceling our membership. A 10% discount at the cost of rudeness is not worth it. Owners need to pay attention to these negative reviews, before they lose more members and business. It’s unfortunate, as we used to enjoy date night at this winery and management has changed that.
