I believe this is where our group put our canoes in for our float trip down the Kishwaukee River. Easy access Good parking Looks like a great place to hike as well๐Ÿ‘

A nice, quiet preserve. Work is being done to remove invasive species. A nice kayak/canoe launch has been added just north of Baseline Road. Eventually, a trail will be added connecting the newly acquired land to the north with this preserve. Particularly pretty in the Fall due to the colorful trees.

Really nice smaller forest preserve right along the river. If you want to go on a longer walk, step out onto the old golf course right next to it.

Nice for a quiet walk. Woods and several paths. Quiet.

Lots of mosquitos and bugs on trails, plenty of mud too, but honestly a great place to go if your small dogs have ptsd and you wanna explore. Its super neat and the few people Ive met on the trail or parking lot are pleasant. Its a bit of a drive for me, but its well worth it. The scenery is certainly stunning, and almost has some Ireland vibes~โ˜†

We always enjoy this preserve and it is fun to visit during the different seasons to see a variety of wildlife and changing plant scenery. It is one of the preserves we regularly find lots of poison ivy and wild parsley at right along the trails though.

Beautiful Small Forest Preserve! Two well marked trails right along the South Branch Kishwaukee River. My boyfriend and I saw many common back yard birds Cardinal, White Breasted Nuthatch and Chickadee. But the highlight of our walk was when we flushed a wood duck from its hiding spot on the second pond.
