Best kept secret - so much so, that I didn’t want to write a review. Off the beaten path, in a small path by the castle is this wonderful tapas bar. The food and service were amazing and affordable. In addition, the bottle of wine a perfect fit for the meal. Go early or make reservations… enjoy!

Most of the dishes are pretty nice! The mushroom is amazing, and also the shellfish. We really enjoy having dinner here. However, the Ouwen Duiker tasted a bit different than I usually have, not sure if it's because of the way of keeping the beer.

I really enjoyed eating here, the place is genuine and the food is tasteful. It’s a small restaurant, so book a table before coming. It’s a tapas bar and we were in a big group, so we had the chance to try every single dish on the menu, and none disappointed. Special mention to the albondigas and the octopus. The chicory with blue cheese was also amazing if you like the particular taste. The one we liked the least was the chicken stew, but it was still alright. It costed us around €6-€8 for each tapa plate. Service was efficient and the place is cute. Downside is the wine offer, a bit expensive for what you get (around €21-€25 per bottle), and didn’t really reach our expectations. I’m definitely coming back, but having beer next time.

Hidden in a side alley close to the Gravensteen. A true hidden place with great dishes. The dishes tasted really good and where nice in size to share. The restaurant is not that big so better make a reservation. We are surely are going back there when in Gent

Excellent food and service. Everything was extremely good. It's spanish food with a different twist on the traditional tastes. Would come again for sure. The only bad thing I can think of is that it was a bit hot upstairs but we were allowed to open a window and it was fine then

Awesome tapas and cosy interior! Try their seasonal pumpkin and feta dish - sooo good! Very friendly staff too!

While looking for a Tapas bar/rest we found favorable reviews for this one. Food was good and the staff was attentive too. If you fancy some tinto de verano, let them know in advance if you want it more sweet. They also have pisco sour!!!

This is real Spanish food with very cool twist. The crew also super friendly and know well their game on recommendations and wine. Don't miss it!

We found this little place by accident. It turned out to be the best food we ate on a two week trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. Because there was no English menu, and I was too lazy to use Google Translate, I simply asked our server to order her six favorite dishes. What a great decision. Every dish was sublime with flavor and unique. I wish I could package the chef up and take her back to the States with me. I also appreciated the overall genuine atmosphere of the restaurant. It is earthy and comforting. I highly recommend reservations. Knowing that I will unlikely return to Ghent. This restaurant will haunt my memories for years to come.

Food is good and service is friendly. Only a few real Canary specialities, though.

Food is nice and portions are quite small overall

Very busy tapas restaurant. Waiters are nice but you may need to remind them a few times about something you asked for. Tapas were avarage, crema catalana could be improved.

Great food, great atmosphere, fair prices and lovely staff, even on a super busy Saturday night.

Personally I think some of the portions could be just a tad larger for the price they have. But the tastes are great, the wine selection is great and the staff is good. Be sure to make a reservation well in time because it's usually crowded and you will not get in.

Friendly crew, delicious Tapas. Now has room upstairs as well.

Cosy place to have tapas, very personal experience. I missed some refinement in the dishes. The more specialized plates were very tasty! Sometimes felt like they skimped on the more common platters (e.g. sharing plate). Be sure to visit and form your own opinion!

The food was excellent and the sangria was divine. Highly recommended and will go again. Reservation is required.

Excellent food, but the waiting staff could be more attentive. We had ordered a new round of drinks and tapas and had to go to the bar to remind the staff of our orders. We were also charged for drinks which were out of stock (so we never drank it.) Upstairs was also a bit drafty. A pity, because their kitchen is excellent. The rest just can't quite keep up.

We followed the ratings on Google and decided to go for this place. It was not bad but I would not give it 5 stars. The food was average. Some of the dishes were overly salty. The place was quite crampy. So much that the waiters hit our chairs regularly when moving around. For the menu we’re had to scan a QR code to go to a pdf for the menu. We could not order from there though. Paper menu was not available.

The food was very tasty, but the portions were rather small compared with the price. The service was okay, not that friendly and a bit slow. We had to wait quite a long time for our drinks. When we were there, there was a rather large group sitting at the table next to us, so there was a lot of noise. But that’s just bad luck.

Quaint, small, friendly tapas bar with delicious food and drinks. Very reasonably priced too. Lots of vegetarian options too.

Very nice tapas with a southern atmosphere. Reservations are highly recommended

We had high hopes because of the good reviews on Google. But I have to be honest and say that i have never been so disappointed in 4 years of visiting restaurants in Ghent. The portions are very small. The food is greasy. The patates bravas are just weird. The Portugese dessert was dry and cold, 2 wrong foodplates. … the list goes on. Also, not once did a staff member ask if the food was ok. Overall a very disappointing food serve , that was no where near the level of the price asked. I’m sorry. It’s a no for me. There are much better places ( with better value for your money) in Ghent.

They serve food very fast even when the place is completely full, that’s a sign of a kitchen well managed. Flavor is also a surprise: little touches with the seasonings and sauces are creative and attentive. Highly recommended!

👍👍 « Luxury fries 🍟 » and well it is quite expensive. But I’d say it is worth it at least once. It is the price for exceptional fries 😉. The fries were absolutely delicious, and well cooked. They ask you to choose 2 homemade sauces. I took the béarnaise and 🤤. The chicken chunks were natural and tas...
