The reviews on Google were also good, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. The restaurant itself was very cute and cozy inside, but the food was just okay, and some of the flavors were not as expected. We had the Cacio e Pepe, which had an unnecessary amount of lime zest and at least 25 almost whole peppercorns that made it difficult to eat. The ragu penne was fine, but the pasta was very al dente. The worst part of the night was when a bug landed in my partner's drink. We let the waitress know, and she took the glass to the bar. We watched as they fished the bug out with a spoon and returned the same glass to us. When we asked for a new one, she brought it right away, but ended up charging us for two, even though the first one was thrown away. While I can understand the policy, I would have appreciated being warned that we would be charged for the circumstance that was not our fault before being surprised when we got the check. Overall, there are many other places near there, and if I were ever in the area again, I would most likely not return to this restaurant.

This is an amazing place and among the best Italian restaurants I've visited. The serving is nice and done with a smile even though neither English nor Dutch are their first language. The only downside would be that it's in very high demand so you need to make reservations a few days on beforehand and only by email cause they do not usually answer their phone. If you do get in though, the food is indeed a treat and the wine selection is also really comprehensive.

As an Italian living in Italy I can honestly say if you'd like to feel like being in Italy for a meal go to osteria delicati. Eating delicious and authentic pasta, drinking Italian wines from all over Italy I was finishing the tiramisu when I realised "oh we are still in gent, I thought we were in italy!" Really appreciate the ingredient research because everything was super tasty from starters, bruschette, salumi and formaggi, the 3 types of pasta I tried and the tiramisu . Delicious Well done, a place I'd recommend to any friend that would like to eat authentic Italian food in gent I realise only now that unfortunately I don't have any nice pictures, I just enjoyed the food !
