Great Sicilian food and service in a nice cosy location. Me an my girlfriend especially appreciated the pasta with Pesto alla trapanese (with mint instead of basil) and mussels. Recommended!

Very authentic place with great food and a cosy atmosphere.

Le Baccanti, Ghent, tiny Italian restaurant, recommended by Ghent River Hotel across the street. Not what I expected, not on my list of places to visit again. First surprise was a very small menu, 3 appetizers, 2 pasta, 2 secondi, 3 deserts. Service was ok, but with just one server managing 7 or 8 tables it seemed too little for a Saturday night, she barely had time to take our order. Food was pretty simple, decent quality but small portions and I would consider it over priced. I ordered the Qail and I think the olives served as an appetizer had more meat. Left a little disappointed.

This is a nice cute place. Very cozy and great atmosphere. You can eat outside or inside. Bathrooms were clean and proper. Service was great and employees sympathetic. There are many options: vegetarian, fish and meat. You can take a menu with appetiser, 2 plates and dessert or just a plate (check pics for the menu) I have a great evening in this restaurant :) thank you! You can pay by card ;)

Good and fine foods and great wines as well. Some of the choices on the menu seem a tad bit too expensive to me. But the overall experience going for dinner here has been great every time for me.

Very tasty Sicilian cuisine in a cosy atmosphere. Small selection of dishes 👍🏻 choice between vegetarian, fish and meat. The vegetarian anti pasto plate was a real treat! Wanted to go there already for a long time and wasn’t disappointed. A hidden gem between all the other Italian restaurants in Ghent!

4 stars only for the payment method-u cant pay separatly ..1 table 1 bill!its written in the menu ok but this doesn't make the fact less comfortable....said this:the place is really cute but mostly -and that's the most important thing the Food : I can consider it the best Italian restaurant in gent so far- I have tried some... I had another one in my top list...I think for the quality of food osteria al sikulo is even better. Surely recommended

Very creative Sicillian cuisine combined with an excellent wine selection. Great for a romantic dinner or a small group. Laidback atmosphere but professional service. Make sure to try the Tiramisu, it's amazing!

One of the best Italian/Sicilian restaurants we've been too. Contrary to another comment, the small menu is an indication of their attention to quality. We had the 'fish's menu but were equally tempted by the all vegetarian menu (in such a beautiful city close to the sea, didn't see the point of meat menu, but that is just a personal choice). Hidden away and worth every penny.
