Very good experience at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, we especially appreciate that they're offering vegan options for breakfast, and if the weather is good you can enjoy breakfast outside with magnificent canal view. Location is superb, right in the heart of Gent. There's a parking at hotel, which is nice, but as other reviewers mentioned parking can be indeed tight.

We had a great stay here. Staff was very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location was perfect - close to central Ghent shops, restaurants, and a minute walk to the train which runs to the train station and throughout town. Just in front of the hotel are some of the best canal views in town and the Gravensteen Castle is a couple minutes away.

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great experience. We were upgraded to a room on the top floor with a beautiful view of the river. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and they even included a glass of cava. We liked the central location and easy access to the tram that takes you to the train station

Very large and clean rooms, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, very attentive service all round. Shortage of plug sockets in the room, kettle, coffee maker and fridge all share the same one 🤔 Take a short extension lead with adapter for your chargers. Location excellent, good parking underneath, remember to book. Ghent is beautiful and this is an excellent base to explore.

Hotel Harmony is situated in an outstanding location. Our room was spacious with a terrific view of the canal and monuments. The service we received upon our arrival by Fleur was more than welcoming and the rest of the staff was no less hospitable. Unless Hotel Harmony is sold out during our next visit to Gent, there is no need for us to consider other arrangements.

Booked the "luxury double room with river view" for 3 nights. The sloped ceiling made the room effectively much smaller than the advertised size and quite claustrophobic. Could only stand up straight within less than half the room. Room decor was functional but basic. The light from the climate control panel could not be switched off and was like a flashlight shining onto the bed directly. There is also a short staircase up from the ground level before reaching the elevator. No help was offered with our large suitcases. Location however, was wonderful.

The room we were given was in an outbuilding at the back of the hotel. This means that there was no view. The lift leading up to the room was malfunctioning. There is a metal staircase outside the room, this is very loud when people use it and there is no noise protection in the room, so we did not get any sleep. The poor noise isolation means that you can also hear the street outside, and the people above you. The drains need unblocking, I saw this mentioned in other reviews, it appears to still be an issue as the sink drained slowly and we could hear the blockage through the bath. There was only 1 plug socket free which was inconvenient as it was by the coffee maker. The room and outside areas were outdated and in need of refurbishment with a lot of visible damage. There was no privacy in the bathroom because one of the glass doors has been smashed (presumably by a previous guest) and had not been replaced. The visible damages make the room feel dirty. The electricity in our room had issues which meant the wifi kept dropping out, and at one point the TV came on loudly in the middle of the night which woke me up when I did finally manage to get to sleep. One staff member was particularly unpleasant to us but the other two we spoke to were very friendly and helpful, and the location is also good which is why I am not rating as 1 star. The room was GBP 270.00 which I feel is expensive for the poor experience.

What a beautiful property this is, with fabulous views from the dining room, sitting by the canal and watching the boats go by. There’s a lovely pool which you can enjoy after a day sightseeing up in beautiful Gent. Breakfasts were marvelous, the hotel is perfectly clean, and the rooms have huge sepia photos of old Ghent. Don’t look for anything else, this property is absolutely perfect. Must also mention thanks to Nan who went out of her way to help us at breakfast time making room for one of our group in a wheelchair. In fact, all the staff were very helpful indeed.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Ghent. You could not ask for a more convenient location. The rooms were amazing in every way, comfortable, clean, spacious, and well decorated. Everything was modern and up to date. Wonderful wood beams on the ceiling of my room, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. All the staff I interacted with were kind and helpful. In the breakfast service area one staff member stood out above the rest and was a true delight. Thank you Nan! I strongly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Ghent. I found returning to my room, each day after sightseeing, to be relaxing, peaceful, and blissfully quiet. I will be happy to return in the future!

Wonderful riverside location in the centre of Gent near the castle and tram and bus stops. But as public transport and busy roads are behind the hotel, the vista down to the river is unspoilt and beautiful, with a long row of traditionally gabled old Flemish buildings. Our room was in a courtyard, well-appointed in cream and dark grey/black, with one wall covered by an enlarged black-and-white photo of market day by the castle from over 100 years ago. On arrival, however, in pouring rain and unseasonably dreary cool temperature after a long journey, the check-in was cold and perfunctory. We tried the bar but the only free table had used glasses on it, which was not cleared or cleaned for several minutes as no staff arrived to serve us, so we left. Some of the charging points in the room did not work and this was not put right despite notifying reception. With warmer, customer-focussed service this could be a truly superb place to stay in Gent.

Perfect location to walk to all the touristy places. Staff went above and beyond with friendliness, storing our bag, giving directions, and offering recommendations. Breakfast is simple and tasty. Room was the nicest we stayed in during our European trip. A lot of hotels offer online check-in/checkout but it doesn't speed up the process and is pretty much useless. Not here. We followed their online check-in/out emails and everything was a breeze. Couldn't recommend more!

All that you would expect to have in a four-star hotel, great location, fantastic staff and generally the common areas are perfect. Going by my room it could be overdue some tlc, that said my room had a jacuzzi. A lick of paint would do wonders in making the place look smarter. Everything worked though, so no complaints, just a comment. A lovely place to stay and I'd go back again.

We have stayed as a group every year for the last 10 years. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable and well appointed. We have used the underground car park to store our bikes and had no issues. Bar is great for pre drinks and the breakfast has lots of choice and the food is fantastic

A beautiful hotel which could not be in a better location. Stepping out its front door is like stepping onto a mediaeval film set, surrounded by history, great restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are beautifully decorated, they are perfectly balanced with being modern while keeping an old world character. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is due to a lack of a gym, but that's just me, I'm travelling on business not leisure. But would I stay here again? I will 100% be looking to return for a leisurely weekend break and I'll definitely be booking into this fantastic hotel.

Hotel Harmony is in a great location, close to the main tourist sites in Gent and situated on the river which makes for a lovely river-side breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a good stay.

Excellent, perfectly located hotel with superfriendly staff. The luxury double room was spatious, with a warm atmosphere, and everything you want in the room. Staff was superfriendly, they even opened the pool for us both mornings we were there. The hotel is in the middle of the gourmet district, all the other districts are in 5 or 10 minute walking distance. Ghent is a beautifull city, best enjoyed by foot, I think. Breakfast is lavish, and again with the superfriendly staff taking perfect care of you. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good experience. Small cosy hotel on the river, staff was really nice and casually assisting. We felt really welcomed and the room was nice and clean. If you are looking for something in this price range i can absolutely recommend it

The hotel is good but overpriced. The room with the big 2 person bathtub is not worth the price, and the bathtub is not even sized properly. Garage is too small to park correctly...

Omg what an amazing place! The rooms are outstanding, we had room 320 with a from facing balcony (a double with a view) definitely worth it. We enjoyed a coffee on the balcony in the heat of the morning sun and again later with some cocktails from the bar. Breakfast was also outstanding.

Two complaints up front. Parking was not available when we arrived. Call and try to book it early. With the room, a slow shower drain meant the tub filled up to your ankles when you showered. That grosses me out. 🤢 The room was very nice otherwise. Coffee, tea and water are provided. We did the beer and snacks package and were pleasantly surprised that we got 4 beers each instead of the advertised 2. They were a nice way to finish both evenings instead of just one. We had 2 kids with us and never felt out of place. The staff was helpful with local dining recommendations. We thought for sure we were screwed when we didn't have any reservations for dinner at 1600 on a Saturday but one of the places recommended (MULTATULI) was available and a good fit for us. The breakfast staff was kind and accommodating with our kids pancake and waffle requests and our eggs and coffee. The location would be tough to beat centrally located in the old city. Would definitely return.

This was my 2nd stay at Hotel Harmony and it was even better than the first. The property itself is great, every room is unique. The staff was very helpful and took great care of my friends and I. If you are going to Ghent then Hotel Harmony is the place to stay.

Spent a total of 7 nights here. I am so glad I found this cosy hotel. Convenient location, comfortable and nicely maintained room. Stayed in the Luxury Double Bath & Exceptional Double. It was a very pleasant stay thanks to the hospitality and helpfulness of the team. Special thanks to Lena, Alien, Frederik, Doreen and especially Nang! Would definitely return the next time I am in Ghent.

We stayed at the Hotel Harmony for my birthday, and we couldn’t be happier that we chose this hotel amongst the other options in Gent. The staff went above and beyond to make the day special which was sincerely appreciated. The room itself was beautifully appointed and clean, and each morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at the hotel. The location is ideal for exploring all that Gent has to offer. We will gladly visit Hotel Harmony again. Many thanks for the wonderful stay!

I lie the design of the rooms. I stayed in Keizer karel room 313. Very old, but nicely renovated. Spacious and enlighted. The view and the location is the best. Automatic toilet seat in my room was the coolest thing I have seen in my whole holiday. 🤣

we visited the restaurant. ordered online (order&pay) cause it promised fast services. received our drinks quite fast but they didn’t bring the orderd food/snacks after 30 minutes. after we asked they just told us they didn’t receive the order, only the drinks, but they still knew what was missing…? We were in a rush cause we had an appointment and thought there would be fast service (as promised). wouldn’t recommend choosing the order&pay option.
