Very beautiful hotel surrounded by trees, quiet and far from stressful cities. All the employees are very professional. Good breakfast.

Staff was wonderful, free parking, and gave amazing recommendations for places to eat, and things to do. (Balls & Glory, maxamilian fries, Elizabeth chocolates) Our room was cozy, quiet, clean, and quite large for the price. Only a short walk is the metro to city center. We decided to stay an extra night because it was so nice rather than going to our next destination that night.

Really friendly and helpful personnel. Answered all our questions and helped us a lot. We rented bikes, a really convienent way to see the city. Clean and spacious rooms. We will definitely stay again.

Quiet hotel with 1920s art deco architecture, decent room sizes, and exceptional reception service. Located by the tram station, a ride to the city centre takes about 15 minutes, and parking on site is free if you book directly with the hotel. Wide range of amenities including gym, pool and bike rental. However, despite the recent refurbishment, the hotel felt dated and poorly lighted. The room was spacious, but also dark and gloomy. The wall lights were too dim, and the interior decor could be improved.

Delightful!! Actually everything about Ghent is delightful and just like the place this hotel is amazing, an old family mansion converted to a hotel offering good rooms with a rustic feel and great service. Also houses a good pool underground. You go for the experience and you get what you expect. Definitely recommending this place for your next stay. Only downside, breakfast could be better.

Incredible art deco building with beautiful though slightly dated rooms. Lovely cold AC and the sound of birds chirping through the windows in the morning was beautiful. Great parking possibilities too, coming with 2 vehicles was no problem at all. Sadly, the pillows on the bed were far too large and thick to sleep with. Luckily there were some replacements in the wardrobe, but they were a bit yellow which wasn't very nice. Had to put up with that; for that reason a 4 star.

Great hotel in a Great city. We stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed it massively. The pool was a great treat, everytime we used it, we was the only ones in there and had a lovely romantic time 😜😉 Rooms very clean, staff very helpful and the Tram system was very good for getting about.

Great hotel. Mini swimming pool was a fantastic option; free and bookable for an hour with notice for a family. Room was fantastic; very large for a family of four with good amenities. Location was good; some way out of the centre but usually a tram ride will take you into the centre. At the time of visiting part of the tram network was being repaired, but it is a lovely walk to the train station, where a tram can be picked up. Ghent is lovely and this was a great place to stay. Fridge etc included; didn't bother with the mini bar option as seemed pricey for what it was. Supermarket in easy walking distance.

The hotel is very nice, we had a room at the ground floor with direct exit in the garden, it was one of the most beautiful rooms and views I ever had in a hotel. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The only minus was that in the first 3 days the room was very cold, the heating was on like 10 min in the morning, but afterwards it was ok. The neighborhood is very beautiful, very nice houses. Gent is a beautiful city, I liked it more than Bruges.

Wow! I'm pretty impressed about the hotel. Big rooms with great design and great service. Surely one of the best where I've been.

What a wonderful place to stay. Fully enjoyed the lovely setting and super kind staff. Stayed with my family (four of us - two being little rascals). The room was really spacious, clean and had an easy access outside through the sliding doors. The garden in front of the hotel is very enjoyable and calming - kids loved it. The breakfast was very tasty and with good assortment to choose from. The hotel is one big old-style house converted to accommodation and this gives it such a nice character - really enjoyed it. Finally, the staff are super friendly and nice. Had a lovely chat every time. Especially with the manager's parrot :)

Amazingly large rooms and friendly staff. A short tram ride from St Pieter's Station. There's a bird in the bar (a Lovebird, I think) that chirps to the guests during breakfast.

We chose Orion Hotel as it was a short walk or 2 tram stops from the main Railway Station. A lovely art-deco building with generous outside space. We had a warm welcome from the lady on reception, in fact all staff we dealt with were excellent. The double room was huge and located at the rear of the hotel, it was very quiet and no noise from outside with the window open overnight. The bathroom was also huge, with a superb shower. There was a minibar plus complimentary tea and coffee. The room had a sofa and table and chairs too. We didn't use the swimming pool or sauna on our visit. The only slight negative was the aircon wasn't working, although a fan had been provided. It wasn't an issue on this visit, however if it was warmer I'd have asked for a different room. We didn't have breakfast which was 15 per person. I'd happily stay here again and recommend the hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room, and close to tram stop. Definitely will stay here again if we come back to Gent.

We had the deluxe room, it's very specious and a nice big bathroom and shower. A big downside was that the room was very muffy once we came in. Opening all the windows helped a bit but the next morning we woke up in the same musty smell again. Breakfast is €15,- per person which is quite expensive for what you get. Service is not very good, as they made a mistake on the invoice and seemed not very serious about the complaint of the musty room. We will not get back to this hotel.

I stayed here while on a cycling trip and I was very happy with my choice. It has a small swimming pool (NB you have to reserve it) and comfortable rooms. I didn't opt for breakfast so I can't comment on it. Excellent value for money.

I got to try out two different rooms here. The small ones are very basic and not particularly interesting. The big rooms, on the other hand, are great. Comfy beds. The staff is helpful and friendly and there is a sauna and (small) pool available for guests. Though not very close to the center, a tram stop is just a stone throw away, and a 10 minute tram ride will drop you in the lovely center of the city. Or take a bike, if the weather is good, there are a few available at the hotel! Definitely a good place to stay at.

We arrived late when the reception was already closed. The emergency officer on duty arrived promptly and checked us in.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and very nicely laid out. The facilities were great. Free car parking which is great. It’s a bit out of the city but close to the tram stop which takes you directly into the centre. My only point of constructive criticism was that the pillows are not comfortable at all and left me with a sore neck in the morning. Would be back for sure, but with my own pillow.

Great place to book a stay when visiting ghent. Absotely enjoyed my stay making use of the extras this hotel offers such as pool and sauna. The staff was very welcoming, polite and quick to respond. location....its in a very quiet Posh neighbourhood and not even far from the main city centre, were there are are great restaurants and nice places to visit public transport is not even 2 min away. And offers free parking as well. I also learned about the story about the Hotel wich is quite fascinating and interesting! I will for sure be back again. Thank you for the wonderfull services.

Cozy little hotel that used to be a rehab after hipp surgery, which explains the insanely high toilett seats and the tiny cute training pool. Lovely, welcoming attitude. Calm, green area with a lot of parks and trees and private gardens.
