Incredible hotel. Every photo does not do it justice. The hosts are fantastic - friendly, helpful but not intrusive in your stay. The rooms are enormous, ours had a lounge, separate bedroom, massive terrace with sun loungers. Location is perfect right opposite the castle. Breakfast was varied, with so much to choose from each morning - fresh homemade yoghurt, juice etc. The little details finished it for us - travel adapters in the rooms, a selection of pillows, a memory foam bed that is electrically adjustable, full music system throughout the room. Simply brilliant. We won't stay anywhere else on our return, we were blown away. If you're coming to Ghent and you are lucky enough for them to have availability, book it.

Far far exceeded our expectations. By far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Location was perfect for walking around Ghent. Room itself was far better than we had imagined from the photographs. Excellent size, and had everything you could need. Very very comfy bed and great shower. Hosts were absolutely incredible, very friendly and helpful and have absolutely perfected their B&B. We would recommend staying here and would definitely stay again ourselves!

Semplicemente WOW!!!

Most beautiful, incredible, magnificent place I've ever stayed. The Holiday home has a flabbergasting view and the accomodations are breathtaking. Best location to enjoy Gent at its maximum. Worth every penny.

By far, one of our favorite accommodations we have stayed in yet. It's luxurious, well-located, comfortable, etc. The sitting room is a huge plus with the views of the castle across the street. The noise levels are not bad, even with so many people below and trains passing by. It is even less in the bedroom since there is an additional door separating it from the sitting room. The decor is so beautiful and just brings the feeling of relaxation into mind! The tub is amazing and providing bath bubbles was a step beyond incredible. Some of the nicest hosts who go well above and beyond. I cannot stress enough how much extra they put into their hosting, to include daily breakfast treats made special by her. It was a bit odd at first to walk through tables where people eat, to get to the main door, but you soon don't notice it. The main house where breakfast is served is gorgeous. Location is perfect to tour the city and have convenient breaks throughout your day. Great restaurants literally steps away. Definitely want to come back!!

We had such a lovely time staying at De Waterzooi B&B over the weekend. The hosts, Christian and Kay, are so welcoming, and the breakfast was perfect (we were obsessed with Kay’s homemade yoghurt!). It is in the perfect location for exploring Gent, with a view looking directly over the castle. The room itself was beautifully decorated and very spacious, with a sitting area ideal for relaxing, a comfy bedroom and great sized bathroom. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Gent and would recommend it to anyone planning a visit!

This place was an utterly stunning find and great value for money. We booked the lodge which was an entire apartment (2 bed) which was a renovated 16th century house, modern kitchen but original wooden floor, casement windows. Unbelievably gorgeous inside. Owners were super helpful and friendly and gave us great tips for places to visit. The nearby cathedral has a VR tour which is worth doing and the castle opposite is also great. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, a chocolate store next door which also does breakfast. There is a tram stop opposite that takes you straight to the train station.

Christian and Kay made our stay in Ghent the absolute best. The location is perfect, being right across from Gravensteen and within a few minutes' walk from most of Ghent's other famous sights. The B&B itself was charming and very comfortable, and the breakfast (which I strongly recommend!) was a definite highlight. We really appreciated the kindness and communicativeness of our hosts, and look forward to staying at the B&B De Waterzooi again in the future!

👍👍 A great place to stay. The very steep and narrow staircase was built in a time when safety was less important than today but that adds to it's charm. Rooms are large, warm and have a street view. Staff were great.
