One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I usually stay in the best. As someone who works with an American hotelier I can say that the staff go above and beyond for you. The spa is excellent. The location perfect. The rooms are exquisite. The highlight is the library where I caught up on work in a stunning work space with natural light, comfortable couches, quick wifi and an eclectic collection of books.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof in Ghent, Belgium in December 2022 during a business trip. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's elegance and attention to detail. The location of the hotel on Hoogstraat was perfect, as it allowed for easy access to both the business district and the charming city center of Ghent. The surrounding area was peaceful and picturesque, offering a pleasant atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made me feel welcome from the start. The check-in process was swift and efficient, ensuring that I could quickly settle into my room after a long day of travel. Speaking of the room, it was absolutely stunning. The design was a perfect blend of modern luxury and classic charm. The furnishings were elegant and comfortable, and the room boasted all the amenities I needed for a productive stay. The bed, in particular, was exceptionally comfortable, with plush pillows and high-quality linens that ensured a restful night's sleep. The hotel's attention to detail extended to every aspect of my stay. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the housekeeping staff maintained it meticulously throughout my visit. The room also featured a well-equipped workspace, which was ideal for my business needs. The dining options at the hotel were exceptional. I had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, and I was blown away by the quality and variety of the offerings. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, providing a delightful start to each day. The restaurant staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that I had everything I needed. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped, allowing me to maintain my exercise routine during my stay. I also had the chance to relax and unwind in the spa, which offered a range of rejuvenating treatments. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was tranquil and serene, providing a welcome respite from the demands of my business trip. One aspect that truly set the Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof apart was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I had a pleasant stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or arranging transportation, they were always attentive and helpful. In conclusion, my stay at the Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof in Ghent was an absolute delight. The hotel's luxurious ambiance, impeccable service, and attention to detail made it a standout choice for a business trip. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ghent, whether for business or leisure.

No consistent hot water supply throughout our stay. As a minimum, I would expect the basics such as a hot shower to be available for the price I paid at a premium hotel. Told on the second day that the issue stemmed from a leak overnight but I don’t believe this, as the shower was not hot before the leak and the pool was freezing. Breakfast was also very mediocre for the level of hotel this is. Shells in the scrambled eggs, flies on the pastries, dry stale bread. Welcome staff were lovely but the staff dealing with the water problems did not offer anything by way of compensation. It was again not as expected from a premium hotel. Cannot recommend. Finally, the front of the hotel is covered in scaffolding. When the weather was windy, something was loudly banging against the building so I did not get a good nights sleep. I suggest during the works that the hotel not give out rooms that are covered in scaffolding. I hope that the building work includes looking at the damp around the windows.

We came here to cocoon for our anniversary and it was grand. The room was quiet, room service was quick and we watched movies using the Chromecast in the room. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Best hotel in Ghent. It's a fact and I vouch for it. The rooms are amazing and the service in general is professional. The restaurant is like the cherry on the cake. Read this and just book,

What a beautiful hotel in the quaint city of Ghent. You get a historic meets modern minimalism vibe which works. The room I was in was spacious and lovely. The bed linens , pillows (yeah, I am a total pillow snob) and sleep quality were fantastic. I loved the in room coffee. We were here for meetings, and the common areas are very well appointed. The property itself is really gorgeous!

Such a great place! The room are clean and nice, the breakfast is great, the staff are amazing- they will always try to help you. They always thought about the small things. Even the spa is great. I highly recommend this place for your visit in Ghent.

A lovely looking hotel with cafe, bistro and a restaurant. I must say, when I booked the hotel all of the pictures were of this old grand building. However, my room was behind the main hotel in what looks like a block of flats. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfy, no complaints there. Also checked out the spa, really nice way to relax. Didn’t eat here so can’t comment on that.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great first impressions as the hotel staff welcomed us. The room was great - pretty big and a huge balcony. Clean and the bed was so comfortable. The area was perfect - walking distance to the old town and there was also a cafe very close to the hotel which was handy. The gym was small but we didn't go there for a gym so it ended up being a nice bonus. The pool was cool and the sauna area was nice. All in all a great stay! The reason it's not a 5 is due to some things in the room not being restocked and the quality of the dressing gowns and towels.

A beautiful and cosy place to stay near the center of Ghent. The rooms are spacious and the buffet breakfast selection is vast. There is a cafe and restaurant that is open all hours. Also a spa/gym but I didn't get a chance to use it. There are some quiet rooms for working and meeting. If you are given the choice to stay anywhere, you should highly consider staying here.

Perfect place to stay ‘in’ Gent. Distinguished and spacious hotel with a fine minimalistic taste of design. Scandinavian and local designers mixed with Japanese styles. Professional and kind staff securing an absolute pleasant stay. Wellness and pool are clean and a unique addition (as located in the former horse stables) to an already great ‘escapism’ experience. The library upstairs is a piece of art in itself, where old atmospheres meet trendy-lively decorations. The cuisine was the ultimate topping on a perfect weekend enjoying Gent.

I really enjoyed the location and the settings. In summer, in fact, the garden on the back side is extremely pleasant. There is a small Spa with free access from the garden itself, and a small pool. The restaurant offer is quite wide if you consider the bistrot, the cafeteria at the front with pastries and the gourmet restaurant. My room was simple and well thought through , but not spacious: ok for me as travelling solo, but would probably be a little essential for a couple. The bathroom was cozy and sparkling clean. Was a little unimpressed by the noisy Aircon.

This is a really great place for a long weekend. modern facilities, comfy bed with great bedlinen, big and comfortable bathroom and a yummy breakfast. Staff was so welcoming and helpful, we had a few minor issues, which they handled so professionally and so well. this is truly showing the high level of hotel and hospitality. we also used this chain in Zwolle, in NL and it’s a consistent great quality of service and establishment.

My husband and I stayed here for a night as part of a surprise anniversary trip that he planned. We had a really lovely stay. The location is perfect - quiet but very near the tram and downtown (10 min walk and you're in the city center). The grounds of the hotel are also very pretty. There's an inner courtyard that's very well maintained. The place is actually quite large. We had a bit of a deluxe room, with access to all spa services, but we didn't use them so we can't comment on their quality. The room itself was fantastic. It's very large for an old European city, with all the things you'd want in a great room (Nespresso, tea, minibar, big shower, big bed, great pillows, etc etc). We even had a balcony - if it hadn't been pouring rain, that would've been a great place for a cup of coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset. The breakfast buffet is above average. Catering mistakes were made with the eggs and hash browns, but the buffet is extensive enough that you can just skip those. The pancakes were noteworthy! All in all, we had a lovely stay and would return.

Good hotel with an oke breakfast. You can see the staff works really hard, however the service on the terrace could be improved. The hotel is very well located and gives you easy access to the city center.

I recently stayed at the Pillows hotel in Gent and really enjoyed the experience. I booked it for a birthday weekend treat and the team arranged a welcome note and balloons, which were a nice surprise. The staff were friendly, from check in to the bar service and the room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. I booked a room with a balcony, which was a good choice for the summer weather. The breakfast was well varied with a nice ambience. One of the highlights was the spa, which has a small pool and two saunas, with a relaxation area. Overall, I really recommend the Pillows Reylof for a special occasion. The location is very convenient for the centre of the city and there is public parking nearby (we used the Ramen car park, around a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel). I would stay here again if I have the chance to visit Gent again soon.

When looking for a hotel in Ghent I liked the fact that this one was just outside the touristy city center (5 min walk) but knew nothing of the brand or this particular location. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Everything about the stay was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff, from reception to barista to waiters, are all amazing and top-notch in customer service. The hotel itself is beautiful, with both fine dining (make reservations in advance) and casual dining options. There’s also a great bar/cafe where you can get excellent coffee and pastries I’m a lovely, light-filled setting. The rooms are nicely sized and spotless, as was the hotel itself. There is also a spa and lovely outdoor seating. City center is a very easy walk from the hotel, both in length and ease of directions, but you’re just far enough outside to not walk out of the hotel into a mass of tourists. While the hotel and amenities would make any travelled happy, again, it is the staff that positively shines in every way. I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else in Ghent now and can’t wait to return to this lovely establishment.

The location of this hotel is pretty convenient, it's situated at a 10 min walk from the main streets at the east of the city, and 30min walk from the main train station (15 min by public transportation). The hotel can be described as a little cocoon, mainly because of the garden you will find once inside. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the person in charge of the reception was friendly and helpful. The room I had was kind of dark, but the room equipment was top notch. You get a big modern TV (with sat TV), a super big bed with really good bedding and a fantastic shower (rainy one), well conceived so you will not wet the bathroom. Water pressure/temperature was very good. Bathroom amenities provided are of good quality, and there's a floor heater which is nice. The room I had also had a balcony with a table and two chairs. In the room, you will also find complimentary bottles of water (2), bathrobes, sleepers, a safe, a minibar, a tea/coffee platter (Nespresso, kettle). The room has good AC and good soundproofing. The downside of the room is it's small, and it's hard to find a place to place something. The hotel provides a complimentary SPA which is nice, there's also a café, some kind of small restaurant where they serve breakfast for example, but also food/drink during the day, a chef restaurant (the menu did look rather nice), and a garden. There is still room from improvement, mainly because of the behavior of guests I think, like smashed mosquitoes on the room ceiling, that's easy to clean and make a bad impression (IMHO), in the same way the swimming pool could need a little cleaning to remove the spots of black mold around it, that's an easy task too. My AC controller was also begging for a filter check. Now regarding staff, everyone was helpful and ready to help, I've seen a woman from the staff explaining how to use the pool to a couple of old people for like 5 min In conclusion, I recommend staying there especially when we have sunny weather (pool, garden). The effective rating is more 4.5 than 4

Breakfast is amazing, in quality, variety - and quantity. The restaurant (modern, "molecular" cuisine) was also great, for dinner. The hotel is super comfortable, room is spacious, with lots of wardrobe space, and a nice big bathroom. A spa is included, which we didn't even use. Location is great, 10 minutes walk from the historical center. The price is a bit on the higher side, but worth every penny.

Didn't know what to expect with a name like Pillows, but we were happily surprised when we walked in the door of this beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel. Also, we had a wonderful reception at check in by a very friendly/helpful lady who patiently explained the amenities of the hotel, local dining etc. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable-- couldn't ask for more. In the morning there is a pretty decent breakfast which got a bit hectic because of a business group meeting running concurrently with regular guest meals. All in all 9 out of 10.

It's a really nice hotel. Clean. Nice design. Staff are really nice and friendly. It's a 10-15 min walk from old town. I really appreciated the nice birthday touch. I really liked my stay and would have given a 5 overall if it wasn't for small details that were missing, such as; they forgot to replenish the toilet roll (and actually removed all the existing) one morning. They also forgot to give us dressing gowns on one day. The dressing gowns they do have are quite worn and hard, rather than the usual soft ones. They also didn't answer the phone the only time I tried them, however they could have just been busy.

Beautiful hotel. Truly fantastic service. And a breakfast for kings. Also the best breakfast coffee all week! Walking distance to historic centre. Don't hesitate. Just book.

Great Hotel. Clean and modern. Very nice staff. The breakfast is freshly made and has a lot of options. The Spa is located in a separate building and has a calm and nice atmosphere. The rooms are very quiet because they are located away from the street in New buildings behind the main building. To the historic sites it's only a 5 minutes walk.

A truly great hotel! A 5-minute walk from the city centre, luxurious and spacious rooms and a breakfast which can't be easily surpassed.

This is literally one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. At the moment there are renovations taking place outside with scaffolding around the hotel. EVEN with that, the room was perfect the staff were lovely, the facilities are excellent. It’s just superb in every single way. I loved staying here and it’s just walking distance from the city centre! The only downside is the restaurant and minibar snacks are well over priced but there are loads of local places to eat which are fantastic!

My holiday stay at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof last year was an absolute delight, making for a memorable Christmas experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the smooth and efficient check-in process immediately set a positive tone. This was particularly appreciated after a long flight, showcasing the hotel's commitment to guest comfort and convenience. The hotel room lived up to its promise of coziness, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the room's design added an extra layer of comfort to my stay, making it a true home away from home. One of the standout features of Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof is its remarkable design. The hotel's aesthetic is not only visually appealing but also contributes to the overall sense of luxury and sophistication. The culinary experience at the hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Both breakfast and dinner offerings were a culinary delight, showcasing a diverse menu of delectable dishes. The servers demonstrated a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness, ensuring that every dining experience was not only delicious but also accompanied by attentive and personalized service. A major advantage of choosing this hotel is its strategic location. Being within walking distance to the sightseeing places eliminated the need for taxis. This not only saved time but also provided a unique opportunity to explore the surroundings on foot, contributing to a heart-healthy and enjoyable experience. In summary, my stay at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof was a five-star experience in every aspect. From the seamless check-in to the cozy room, delightful dining experiences, and the convenience of exploring nearby attractions on foot, this hotel truly exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and convenient getaway.

One the best hotels I have been. The team, commanded by manager Mr. Nicholas, is very Professional. I strongly suggest to stay in this hotel in Ghent.

Beautiful hotel in a historical building, well designed and elegant. Very friendly stuff and great spaces for businesses (lots of empty space/room with good decorations for you to just stay for the whole day if you are working remotely) Room is very comfortable (carpet is pretty soft), nice bed and amenities. Wifi sometime could be unstable but most of the time it does the work. Breakfast is amazing. Hotel located in a quiet area but still walking distance to most of the tourist spot (nice 10 mins walk) Will recommend to stay!

Greatly enjoyed my 6 night stay at Pillows in Gent. Loved that it was such a quick walk into city center without actually being amongst the foot traffic. Staff were pleasant. Loved the beautiful courtyard and the many options in the breakfast buffet. Rooms were reasonably sized and nicely appointed. They were a bit short staffed (like everywhere) so we often would simply go to the bar to order a drink instead of waiting for someone to come take our order. Definitely looking forward to my next stay!

A decent hotel in a good location. My room was clean and had everything I needed. The size was adequate but nothing special. The hotel looks good; the roof of our balcony leaked a bit. The carpets had seen a lot of wear in some places. The on site food options were great and the staff awesome. I'd come back.

Lovely hotel. Stylish. Good beds. Nice rooms. bar service was a bit weird. Breakfast was very lovely. A lot of choices and good staff. Checking out was a bit awkward as well. There is a lovely spa!

Our new favorite hotel in Europe. The interieur is stylish and our rooms spacious and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic with an excellent variety. (Pastries delicious). All in all an experience we would happily recommend and repeat in future. We appreciate the attention to detail and good service. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel, with wonderfully comfortable rooms, great restaurants, hire bikes and an amazing breakfast. Service is great and very accomodating. Word of warning for anyone coming for the spa, it is not a spa hotel, pool is small and there is a sauna and small gym, great to enjoy as a side note but not a destination. Highly recommend to stay here for your visit to Ghent!

Absolutely wonderful place. The amenities are of 5 stars to be honest. Awesome room, comfortable bed, nice little spa and great garden for breakfast/coffee. We came without any expectations and we loved it really!

A very relaxing experience and a feeling of luxury, that’s what we found here. We felt pampered! Perfect sauna area, opened from 6:30 til 22:00 with both a Scandinavian sauna and an infra red one (both brand new and clean) with cold rainfall showers, a small swimming pool and relaxing area. The staff is amazing, they are smiling, very attentive and seems to like their job and to be happy to work there. They are very well trained because I’m sure that not everything always works smoothly in the backstage but they don’t communicate their stress and that’s what makes it worth to pay a little extra. Everything they did helped us to feel relaxed. We don’t like hotel breakfast in general (we found them too expensive in general) so we can’t give feedback on theirs) but we found an award winning bakery just behind the hotel. We got an amazing breakfast with a patisserie and an authentic warm chocolate for only 8€ there. It’s called Marijn Coertjens. They are actually a supplier of the rassurant and bistro of the hotel. Regarding parking, there is a large very convenient public indoor parking just behind the hotel for only 14€ per day, which is cheaper than the hotel who has very limited parking space anyway. The rooms are large, perfectly quite, offer an amazing pillow menu and are extremely comfortable. I say it again: we got a very relaxing experience and a feeling of luxury. I strongly recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful stay, we really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms, spa and service was impeccable. We couldn't get over the kindness and helpfulness of the staff and it was clean, comfortable and such a relaxing stay. We will certainly visit again next time we are in Ghent.

The most amazing hotel that you would be ridiculous not to stay here. We stopped through Ghent on a last minute trip. Luckily Pillows had an available room. Upon entry, the lobby is very impressive. We were told that it has an extensive history as an important city building. The room has all the things and space you need with the aesthetic that’s simply nicer than your own home, as desired for a getaway trip. The spa is another level of great. With a sauna, beautiful pool, and complete gym, you will be fully content. The staff is very accommodating, attentive and willing to go the extra step to ensure you have a good stay. We were so happy with the hotel that we inquired about their other locations and upon leaving, we re-entered to book a night 3 months out for a birthday getaway. Loyal Pillows guests from now on!

Love all the details in this beautiful hotel. The duvet is not tucked, three types of clothes hanger, hand cream by the bed, umbrellas everywhere for the guest to use, warm welcome notes. Had the finest sleep ok my first day of arrival. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed!

Great place in Gent and very close to center. Staff is very polite and helping with all topics. Spa house is quite small but nice (warm pool, 2 or 3 small saunas & open until 10pm). Hotel bar was even open until 1am.

Loved this hotel. Very clean, nice rooms, stylish and a generally good vibe. Staff were great. The place smells amazing. I had to knock down a star for the breakfast though. Did not massively rate what you get for 29 euros… Felt like they could have offered something to order off menu for that price!

Outstanding property in Ghent. Our room was very large and beautifully appointed. We were thankful for down pillows. Both the breakfast buffet and dinner at LOF is appropriate for a property of this caliber. The dinner was fantastic but be warned, a 4-hour meal. Clientele at this hotel can include those who are couture, so if you're more accustomed to casual hotels, just be aware. Staff is friendly and non-discriminatory though even if you're not wearing Valentino.
