You feel as a character in a Charles Dickens story ... or should we say ... A Jean Ray story ...

Impressive riverbank with transitional dutch architectures. Enjoyed sitting at the river bank watching the tourist boats, Kayaking and rowing boats.

Simply picturesque. Great place to chill with your loved one or enjoy your own company with a beer mug. Also an awesome place for amazing photography. Missed visiting the place in the evening, I am sure that with the night lights the place gets more beautiful.

Beautiful place with beautiful old buildings all around the canal. You may take a sight seeing boat tour along the canal from here. It's really nice place to spend an evening.

Great scenic central location, best photo spot in all of Ghent. Unbelievable architecture and history. Would go back any time. Loved it. Very clean, safe, quaint, enjoyable, day or night. Take a boat tour for a really magnificent experience. All of historic Ghent is a treasure and beats any make believe amusement park by a mile. It's like being dropped off in the middle ages. If you're looking for a place to stay the Marriott and hostel Uppelink are right there.

Korenlei along with Graslei are the quay walkways along Leie Canal in the Historic City Centre of Ghent. This is a very attractive location. Centuries old guild houses line both sides of the canal, displaying step-gabled rooftops and decorative facades that are very nice to see from the walkway or water for those interesting in taking a boat ride. I like standing on St. Micheal's Bridge, where Graslei and Korenlei can be viewed well with the canal. Another very nice viewpoint and photo spot is directly on Korenlei, looking in the direction of Graslei. From here you see the building guild houses as well as some of the famous landmark buildings like the Belfry in the background.

Alright, let me give you the scoop on Korenlei in Ghent – it's like stepping into a real-life fairytale. Imagine strolling down this cobblestone street flanked by those charming, ancient buildings that ooze history. It's like a time warp that transports you to a bygone era. The view is straight out of a dream. Those picturesque buildings reflecting in the canal create this unreal mirror image that's practically begging to be captured on camera. Seriously, it's a photographer's paradise. But Korenlei isn't just a pretty face. It's bustling with life – cafes, restaurants, and a vibe that's contagious. You've got locals going about their day and wide-eyed tourists taking in the scene. The energy is electric. And here's the kicker – this gem is smack dab in the heart of Ghent. Whether you're into history, photography, or just soaking up amazing views, Korenlei delivers. It's like a slice of magic in the middle of the city. So, if you're around, make sure to check it out. Trust me, you won't want to miss this enchanting spot.

The best place to sit next to a canal in Ghent! Take your coffee, beer, vine, locals usually take Cava with them; and watch this amazing city :)

Gorgeous location, in the old historic centre of Ghent with some of the oldest buildings in Belgium. Allong both waterfronts there are restaurants, grandcafes, pubs and galleries and a watertour in the canal.

👍👍 Open pavilion for multiple use. Bazaars every week, exhibitions, concerts, skating rink ...
