Pancakes Fairytale 😍 Very happy that they are back again in business, couldn’t really imagine Gent without GWENOLA , it was difficult to accept the fact that they might have been gone forever. So I was happy to see those beautiful authentic plates and coffee cups again 😊and to taste my favourite ( pannenkoeken with brown sugar abd butter) which I have been missing for 5 years! Those memories of rainy days waiting patiently there at the entrance waiting for a table and that joy when you finally could sit and enjoy those delicious pannenkoeken made and presented with love. For me the word pannenkoeken means simply Gwenola . Of course now the atmosphere is not the same the place is a bit smaller than before moderner than before but still cosy and warm and the taste is almost the same.

Visiting Gent from New York and was blown away by the quality of food and service at Kraken. The vibe was very relaxed but classy and the crepes were something special. Try the ginger apple drink, very refreshing for the summer. We were lucky to be served by Fauve, whom turned out to be the owner. She’s was very welcoming and helpful in navigating the menu.
