😠 Unreliable and poorly maintained. In addition to the fact that the routes are hardly changed and the boulders are almost flat, there are also the following issues with Bleau: 1) 10-session card expired during Corona, which cost me more than €100. In my opinion, pure fraud. 2) if you have forgotten y... People often mention climbing,

Unreliable and poorly maintained. In addition to the fact that the routes are hardly changed and the boulders are almost flat, there are also the following issues with Bleau: 1) 10-session card expired during Corona, which cost me more than €100. In my opinion, pure fraud. 2) if you have forgotten your "subscription" you still have to purchase a full service, they refuse to look up your name in their system. 3) bought a turn for bouldering today, only to find out afterwards that the bouldering room was partially inaccessible due to a children's party. Motto of the bleau: Lighted Looks Neat :)

(Translated by Google) Very unfriendly. After fifteen minutes the instructors informed that my 3 year old son did not want to climb and they pushed him back into my arms. After a promise to refund money, only 35 of the 190 euros was refunded, a real scam, and given the little guidance, certainly not recommended for small children, even though this is promoted from 2.5 years! (Original) Zeer onvriendelijk.

I have a very ambiguous relationship with the Bleau: on the one hand I like the hall, on the other hand I don't at all. The fact that it is the only length climbing gym in the area probably plays a major role. When I think of Bleau I spontaneously think: - many dirty grips, fully 'popped', never cleaned - routes that do not change often, even though staff claim that this happens 'more than in other Ghent halls' - expensive affair (entrance as well as price-quality: ropes, for example, are very often 'end-of-their-life') - Not so hygienic (both the fitting rooms and toilets), the outside wall stinks of sewage and is constantly full of pigeon poop. - also quite divided regarding the staff. The older staff - those who have been working there longer - are pleasant. The younger employees (especially children's teachers, as well as certain route setters) are quite unfriendly, to the point of being arrogant (= very haughty). Often irritating children who have little to no climbing etiquette and walk freely under your ropes. Shop is good and the lending service is very useful. But when it comes to lending, the same problem as the hall itself: the material is not really clean (helmets, for example, greasy, dirty crash pads, etc.) Furthermore, there is a nice outdoor terrace. Conclusion: more negative than positive. Could actually be much better Bleau... hopefully the aforementioned improved :)

Nice routes. We also took climbing training for the KVB1 at Bleau. This was well given.

👍👍 Lovely little gym, with genius puzzles and beautiful space management. Don't let the size trick you, it offers all the challenge you need for all levels, plus a cozy chilling area, warm personnel, and a whole library of board games to choose from and play by the fire stove. Definitely recommend.
