Grand old dames of Penang. Both the Town Hall & City Hall are impressive tourist attractions in the Esplanade area. The majestic colonial buildings have been featured in a number of local & foreign movies and never fail to provide a great backdrop for snapshots. Facing the buildings is the huge Esplanade field which sometimes acts as as a parade ground or venue for cultural festivals.

Located within the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site and overlooking the Padang, this building is yet another must visit. Completed in 1903 by the British. Unfortunately, it was undergoing renovation work when we visited. The frontage however is still quite a majestic sight. Our full review is on Instagram (@monk3yseendo)

Gorgeous building in downtown Georgetown which is used for a range of civic events. Went to a concert in the building and it is worth checking the inside and out.

One of many buildings which can be seen and enjoyed during a stroll around the old town of Penang. This one , as many are, is well kept and a great reflection of Penang's heritage and history.

Simply a beautiful colonial buiding in Penang. Well-maintained, well-preserved, majestic. Nice to come here to take some photos in the evening or at night. Not sure whether one can visit the inside of the building during office hours.

The Penang City Hall is the local government headquarters in the city of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Built by the British, it now serves as the seat of the Penang Island City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Penang) and was previously the seat of the George Town City Council. Completed in 1903, the two-story building combines Edwardian Baroque and Palladian architectural styles, which were popular at the time. It has been listed as a national monument since 1982 under the Antiquities Act 1976. Nice architecture. Many food and drinks. Enjoy!

Salah satu landmark Penang. Bangunan bergaya Eropa. Lokasi sekitar bersih. Dan cukup ramai di sore hari. Cocok dikunjungi di sore hari, kemudian duduk2 ditepi laut menunggu matahari terbenam

👍👍 Beneath the golden hues of twilight's embrace, I wander the Esplanade, a tranquil space. Amidst the laughter of locals and tourists near, Nature's symphony and history's whispers I hear. The gentle breeze dances through ancient trees, Whispering tales carried on the evening breeze. As I stroll past...
