Great Facilities, rooms and wondeful staff who always greet you with a Big Smile...Can't remember them all by name but Rita is what pops up in my memory now. A new property located right in the center of George Town. I love their lobby and how flexible breakaway spaces for guests have been designed. I could easily conduct meetings with extra privacy at the corner of the lobby while having a complimentary espresso upon arrival. Will definitely come back and stay again at the Citadines Connect Georgetown Penang! Kudos to the Team!

This new hotel is right in the city. many nasi kandar and eateries surrounding. I can't say enough, but the staff are SUPERB. Housekeeping staff were great and polite. Cleanliness was tip top. They have eye for detail, and arrange my toiletries as how I arranged it. Unbelievable. The maintenance guy is helpful and efficient. they helped to fix the minor water leaking from ceiling efficiently. Looks like there is no porter available as their security offer to help with loading our luggage into the van. Reception has 1 staff through-out. maybe short of staff. They will always ask about our stay and keep offering what they can help to make our stay a memorable one. 1 lady even walked me out of hotel to the main road to show me the direction. Thank you Citadines for giving us a memorable holiday.

Hotel offers a strategically located haven for travelers at the prime city-center location. The front of house service is commendable, with attentive and helpful. Rooms impress with cleanliness, comfortable bed, and comprehensive amenities. Parking can be challenging, especially on weekends, yet one of the Indian staff forget his name, relocating his car to secure a parking spot for me. This act of generosity deserves special recognition. However, the breakfast experience falls slightly short of expectations, suggesting an area for potential enhancement.

Our stay here was okay but not exceptional. Location was okay, 15 min walk to main eateries and attractions , opposite a great Western cafe (no need to book breakfast at the hotel) and opposite a great Sunday market at the Bus depot. Can be noisy at night with music from bars and noise overnight from construction of hotel (10pm) when hotel signage said works would only be between 9 and 5pm. Rooms modern and appealing except second bedroom very small, can be hard to get air conditioning to right temperature and water is showers not very hot. Nice gym with new equipment. Service slow but Kevin was accommodating.

New hotel in the area, rooms were new, comfortable bed and located near the heart of Penang and Komtar. New nightspot and bars are within walking distance as well. Check in was straightforward, they even serve free coffee at the lobby while waiting for the room to be ready. Parking is located behind, even guests have to pay RM5 per day to park. Validate your vehicle number and pay on the way out with your credit card. They still do not have a kitchen on site, so room service is limited. (No ice available) got it from the nearest 7-eleven 250m away.

Citadines Connect Penang is a relatively new hotel in Georgetown. It only recently opened in December 2022. Everything is completely new and love the shop house design. The staff is extremely friendly and always greets us with a smile. A few minutes' walk from the hotel are shopping malls, cafes, and the Street Hawker Centre. The only concern was the live band at HIDEAWAY28, which was directly across the street from our hotel. If your room window faces Lebuh Noordin, it can be quite noisy. Overall the place is great! I will definitely stay here again.

New hotel in town. Comfortable room, clean and fresh linen. Greeted from the door with warm smile. Most important is the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would like to express my gratitude to Ganesan from the front desk, one of the best check in experience.

This newly built hotel hits all the right spots. Situated off a quiet street, it has fantastic access to nearby eateries and cafes. You even have a ice cream shop just around the corner. We particularly enjoyed the Hin Depot market just on the opposite street where you can enjoy the weekend pop-up stalls. Staff was extremely friendly and efficient, our room was well taken care of for the entire 4 nights stay. The room was well maintained and more than comfortable enough for a few nights stay. We will love to be back next time.

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

My stay at Citadines Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's central location made it convenient to explore the city's attractions. My stay at this hotel with a car parking lot was a breeze from the moment I arrived. The convenience of having a secure parking space right at the hotel made a world of difference. It not only saved time but also provided peace of mind What truly stood out was the impeccable service. Whether it was the concierge providing valuable local insights or the housekeeping team's attention to detail, every aspect of my stay was top-notch. Citadines Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and memorable stay, this is the place to be."

Great location with shopping mall, eateries and cafes are just a walking distance. Very modern and clean hotel. The staffs are very kind and friendly, they are always around to assist you when you need assistance and greet you whenever you pass by. Loved all the wonderful complementary goodies snacks, excellent coffee replenish near the lobby. Definitely will come backπŸ‘

I'm gonna preach about location for this hotel. Located at very strategic place. Got 4 malls within walkable distance... everything must see/tourist attractions are within walkable distance. Not to forget about their worker hospitality as well. And of course the free flow coffee at the lobby. If I ever visit for the 2nd time, I will definitely book the same place.

Very convenient location, walking distance to local street foods/eateries around, although e-hailing also not a problem in GeorgeTown area. The hotel is new and clean and they provide complimentary coffee for staying guests. Many loves hanging around at the common dining corner enjoying the coffee and titbits. They even have a small gym and swimming pool given it's small space. No complimentary parking for staying guest, need to validate your car plate number upon check-in to enjoy the daily rate, else you need to pay RM10 per entry.

We stayed at a studio twin room and stayed at Citadine for 2 nights. The hotel is located in a place where it is closer to most of the attractions in George Town. All the amenities and the quality of the room was very good and the room charge was also very reasonable. The front desk was very helpful. The check-in and check-out process was super fast. However there was A foul smell coming from the bathroom and I think it was coming from one of the water drainage lines. Would definitely give a five star if not for this.

Great location and within walking distance to many food and interesting areas. Rooms are good just that the 2nd room was rather cramped. Our room window was facing a club or something and music could be heard through the wee hours. Small pool and gym was clean and new. Service was good and courteous. Thanks for the taxi arrangement for our early flight! Appreciate the complimentary 24hrs coffee at the lobby as well!

I wanna share the experience throughout my stay in this heritage hotel. β€’ soundproof is good. this is the first time I seen Citidanes contain of two layer of the window so u can’t actually hear the noise from the outside even u are facing the road. β€’ Privacy is good. β€’ Hotel is New and clean β€’ The switch button is good in every corner of the room. β€’ Free Coffee at the lobby during your stay and the coffee is good. β€’ Parking is 5 ringgit in 24 hour. If u check in at 2:30pm on your first day then your parking is rm5 on the next day at 2:30pm. Overall, I really enjoy my stay in Ciditanes Hotel😊

Looking forward to stay in Citadines via friends' recommendation, and I have not been to Penang for so many years. However, my family and I are VERY disappointed that we are not able to secure any baby cots even upon booking and confirming our stay in advance. Calling and writing an email to your management team to ensure we will be there on our dates, has also not been able to get us a baby cot. This makes family travels extremely difficult, and very disappointing for a highly reviewed accommodation. ----- 20 Dec // Thank you Citadines for your reply. I have spoken to the front desk on more than one occasion and they said that there is nothing they can do except to follow the company’s policy - to only advise of the cot’s availability and reserve it at the check-in hour. There is no follow up from the management thereafter. Kindly relook into this process to reserve the cot for customers in advance when requested so it is a win-win for both hotel and customers/ parents. This will save any potential headache for parents if cot is not available upon check in and for your hotel to have better accuracy in the forecasting of vacancies and work load allocation. Do note that you have only 3-4 cots for 140+ rooms. Is this sufficient? Since nothing was done and you have not offered a solution, we have cancelled our booking.

πŸ‘ Cosy and clean hotel. πŸ‘ Staff are friendly and professional. πŸ‘ Free-flow coffee and tea at lobby. πŸ‘Ž Soundproofing can be improved. πŸ‘Ž Breakfast food was served cold despite reminders to heat it up. Not much amenities in the area - only a Mookata and supper location. Had a lot of difficulty communicating with staff prior to the trip to understand its wheelchair accessibility. For others’ reference: The hotel is wheelchair accessible and has a lift. They have wheelchair-friendly rooms on the first floor (Studio Executive) where toilets have built-in grab bars and portable commodes.

The hotel is strategically located within walking distance to Chinatown area and seems to be recently renovated so rooms are quite nice and clean. Hotel provides water dispenser as part of their effort to go green. Pool is equipped with jacuzzi and complimented with small gym. The only downside is the very light breakfast buffet with no inhouse restaurant.

new hotel that opened in Mar 2023, looks spanking new but peculiar maintenance issues like bathroom (broken shower head, loose tiling). Pool water is greenish and jacuzzi doesn't work. Gym (according to website) closes at 11pm but is already locked at 1020pm. Hotel location is relatively convenient, but most of the nearby shops all closed or closed down, so you'll need to walk to the nearby mall if you need any supplies. On the plus side, there is filtered water available outside the rooms, service staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby has large seating area where you can get free coffee and biscuits

Solid five stars. Love the configuration of the two bedroom executive which is perfect for group of three. (So rare for hotels to cater for group of three adults) Convenient location to walk to nearby foodie spots. Facilities are brand new and spotless and the service is fantastic. I had previously stayed at a Penang hotel which was top 5 rated on TripAdvisor but this is leaps better without doubt. Value for money and would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful stay here. We requested a room on the second floor not knowing it is without a window but comes with a natural skylight and auto blind. The bedding is very comfy. Room lighting is well designed. The reception lobby is very guests friendly with a coffee machine serving all day. The small gym and lap pool on the rooftop area is a bonus for guests to have a quick workout. The staff of the hotel is helpful and courteous. Will be back again!;)

Amazing service. Nicest personnel I have every experienced in a hotel. The gym is small but it has everything you need. It’s a brand new hotel! The pool is perfect for cooling down after walking around all day in George Town. The location is also great. Breakfast variety is small but sufficient and the only improvement area I would see.

Checked in yesterday on the 9th April for a three-night stay. Room was alright although not that big, with a space for putting a luggage and open concept wardrobe. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Towels were new and clean. Sound-proofing is good, as I cannot hear any traffic or neighboring room noises. You can get complimentary drinking water via the water dispenser near lift lobby. Minus one star for the following: - I am ASR Gold member but the hotel didn’t do any free upgrades of the room. - The hotel emailed me to indicate my preferred check in time. When I arrived, the reception told me I’m too early and need to wait till 3pm to check in. What’s the point of asking for my preferred time if you guys cannot arrange for it?

I stayed in December recently and we have fabulous time in the new hotel. Hotel & rooms are very clean and cozy. Even though they are newly open, staff are doing their best to explain on the minor construction work which is still on-going at the corridoor and some guest rooms. It is understandable for newly opened hotel. The best experience we had was the chinese lady manager, forgotten her name. She is very experienced on the good food in town and she went all her way out till mainland. Very friendly, professional and helpful. Same goes to her team at reception which I can remember...Kevin, Mala and other hotel staff. Even the foreign worker cleaner, though he could not understand English, but his smile is the prettiest. We would definetely return soon. Keep it up!

Great place to stay for visiting Penang. Clean and cozy place. Very friendly hotel. All the staff are great and helpful. Special thanks to Rita the manager, she was so helpful and friendly, superb lovely lady. Also have to thanks Mr Ganeson and all the housekeeping and maintenance, they attend to our issues right away and have it sorted so quickly. Even the security is great. Makes our stay feels safe and happy.

first, when we arrived, the receptionist gave us the wrong room. After that, they changed the other room to unfinished and cleaned. We had to wait until 4pm to check in. when I booked this hotel I checked with a nice room with a window. Unfortunately we got a room without a window. I checked with them and he told me we have to pay more for the room with window. Disappointed! Lastly this is my first time having breakfast in a hotel with limitations. Receptionist said my friend ate more than the limit and I can't take any other option. although, my friend only took 1 of each meal from the bar. I'm a local and we have to pay RM 50++ for a sad breakfast. Nasi lemak + simple salad + yogurt + mini cake. We better find breakfast outside.

It is a new hotel , staffs are friendly especially the manager. Went on 28th Dec 2022. Due to newly launched, some services are still being processed (telephone lines and provision of laundry bag). The staffs are still new but an experience manager is there to assist them and us. A staff also help to provide replacement of reusable bag due to lack of laundry bag. Water dispenser is provided at each floor to reduce waste of plastic bottle. The interior design is creative : simple minimalism with the brutal style: mix of black steel and rustic brick wall. Shower cubicle part lack of lighting, quite dark. Certain part of the built-in cabinet or craftsmanship are crudely built. The only concern is the choices of the laminated timber board, the timber quality seems like will age or deteriorate easily in time.

Great hotel with both modern and heritage flair in its design. Decor is tastefully done in both the lobby and room. Surprised to find that there was a swimming pool on the rooftop as it is located in heritage shoplots! Excellent location opposite Hin Bus Depot and a couple of well known speakeasy bars. Spanking clean room and friendly staffs made for an overall great stay.

Waited long to check in, gave us a smaller and wrong room, and came down, waited again, and management told us to just take the wrong room. Whilst attending to us, somebody else asked to be served and we were again, put on hold. In the first place, they knew the room assigned was a wrong one. And had we taken it, we would be saying OK to paying more for less and helping to resolve the rooming issue. And after an hour here, we still are waiting for a room. The fact that the reception didn’t look into ensuring service recovery is done fast and making us wait, makes the first impression and experience dismal.

Newly open a brand new hotel in the heart of Georgetown Penang, everything looks great and cozy, if you prefer on walking distance within the busy night market for food and the heritages in the city. This is one of the choices to stay in. Thumbs up
