Get off the cruise ship. Rent a car. Take yourself to a non-touristy location. This beach was stunning and beautiful. Near the end of Seven Mile Beach at a public park. With a free parking lot. We set up our afternoon at a picnic table and a bathroom close by. (Porta potty style). We spent our afternoon swimming, walking and soaking up this beautiful view, warm waters and time away from the crowds. Truly the best day shared with my husband and friends.

A super duper beach! With very soft sand. Typically slow rolling 6” waves. Waist level for the first 50 feet. Great for SUP. And chillin. Lots of chairs and umbrellas outside the hotels. Tons of water sports options. Very clear water with some fish to look at. Maybe not a full 7 miles long, but that is a nonsense complaint. Here’s my review of a nice beach.

This is definitely one of the top beaches in the Caribbean, and even all other beaches I've been to. It rivals the famous White Beach in Boracay Philippines. Aqua marine colors, fine yellow white sand, clear waters and the temperature was perfect in November. If you're on a cruise and on a budget, skip the boat excursions and take a taxi or van from the port to 7 Mile Beach (public). Once on the beach I found walking northwards to be very beautiful.

Beautiful beach. Sand soft and fine and family friendly. Beach drops off, from 2 feet to 4 feet not good to walk in without falling. Beer $5 USD. Taxi $6 per person to get there and $6 to get back. Mixed drinks $15. Beach chair and beach umbrella $25 USD. A tourist enrichment for the local economy.

Always our go to when we sail to Grand Cayman. Beautiful beach. Cheap taxi ride at $6 per person each way. 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach $25. We enjoyed our day.

Very clean beach, with free spaces to sit. You can rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for 25$ the beer is 6$ . The water is clear and clean. The area has toilets and showers.

White sands for miles. Typically calm seas. The perfect sunset. *Shade is limited, resorts offer the best lounge experience w chairs and umbrellas. (Rentals available for non-guests in designated areas). Governors Public beach: Bring an umbrella or go early to get a spot under a tree. Cemetery beach offers the best snorkeling. Smith's Cove is often busy, but ideal for both snorkeling and shaded areas. West bay beach comes and goes. No traditional beach bar-restaurants, mostly resorts. *Beach toys, loungers, umbrellas, coolers, groceries available at nearby Cost-U-Less.

Completely awesome beach and gorgeous water. My favorite beach!

Beautiful long stretch of beach. I took a lime scooter from the cruise port area up to the southern end of the beach. Much less people down this way. There is public access every block or so. Warm water, sandy bottom. Lovely place. Can’t stress how much nicer the southern half is compared to where the taxis will take you further north. No facilities further south. So take that into account.

Truly an amazing and beautiful beach. Great to swim and enjoy a whole day. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Great to stay on one of the properties on the beach to have access to umbrellas and chairs, but lots of public beach access and many people bringing their own things and enjoying.

Seven mile beach is definitely the best of several great beaches on the island. The water is crystal clear, and the almost white sand never seems to get hot on your feet so easy to walk on. There are areas along the beach that have some coral, so it is possible to do a bit of snorkeling. The further away from George Town you get, the traffic along the beach settles as there are always cruise ships at the George Town port.

Beautiful beach, beautiful location. The sand is soft loamy and so nice to walk on. This is a must, lost of different access points to get to the beach from the road. The views are unreal and the water was warm calm and I didn't want to leave!

Incredible.. only way to describe it. Water in swimming pools aren't this clear. I went out up to a mile out on a jet ski and could look over the edge to see the corral on the bottom. I was watching the sunset and caught this Sail boat on the horizon.. I mean how iconic is that photo? It's literally a postcard! I can't say enough about how wonderful it is.

Beautiful beach! There are quieter areas where you can take pictures like what you see on the Internet. Yet, there are crowds all around.

After visiting the Crystal Caves, we spent the afternoon at this beautiful beach. Some areas are crowded, but if you walk 5 minutes along the beach, there are hardly any people. The water was warm and so clear that you could count your toes when the water was up to your chest.

Similar to Aruba, but I believe Aruba is a better deal in respect to many different aspects. Also, there are street chikens everywhere, like street cats.

Powder white sand and year round water as warm as a bathtub. Waters easy to just walk into they are clear and clean. The water is shallow but gets deep enough to snorkel, swim and relax. You can easily lose a whole day. Bring a cooler, take out and all your fav beach toys!

Decided to visit this beach on our vacation to Grand Cayman. They have a parking lot, which is free, along with food stands and rental places for chairs, umbrellas and jet skis. Other reviews said the rental people were pushy, but they left us alone when we told them we were good. The water was calm and there was some fish present, but hardly any good sea shells. The reef was underwhelming. We stayed a couple hours and discovered a crab hiding in the sand under our chair. All in all, nothing special. Oh, my wife lost her phone in the ocean, so if you find it; throw it away for me.

Seen some pretty beaches 🏝️ in my life and this one makes the top ten list. There is public access in between the hotels. The sand was white and the water was turquoise. 💦. Worth making a visit if you love swimming.

Fantastic Beach, just come prepared with a cooler and shade from the sun. Lovely location to have a photoshoot, just go further north up the beach to a quieter area.

Great beach. It is a short ride from the port. We went to the public beach and it was crowded but worth the trip. If you go further down the beach it really opens up and there are less people if you are looking for that.

This beach has the most crystal clear water. You can see all the way to the bottom in the deep water. We saw quite a few fish while snorkeling. It was very relaxing.

TIP: If you’re coming from the cruise Port like we did, we suggested to get a taxi directly from the port. It’s about 12$ per person round trip. We had a pretty pleasant stay here since we got to spend several hours in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Caribbeans. There’s chairs and umbrellas available for rent at around (20-25$), although by walking a little further we were able to find several peaceful spots away from the crowd.

We came from the port on Christmas Day so it was very easy to find the taxis to take you to the beach. It cost $12/per person round trip to go from the port to the beach. Once at the beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas from people as well as get food and beverages.

Definitely the BEST beach on Cayman Islands. Very besutiful sandy beach with light green colour of the Carrebean Sea. Its so clear water sea and nice temperature so you cant just get out of water. Definitelly 100:/: recommendable for those visiting the Carrebean Sea Islands 🥰

Beautiful! Walked left along the beach away from the busy area with vendors and sun loungers, put towels on the sand and went snorkeling, lots to see including a massive ray. One of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. You do need to walk back to the drop off point to get a lift back to the cruise terminal.

  • 5/5 Guineviere C. 1 year ago on Google
Water is beautiful, there are chairs with umbrellas set up (for a price) but it is PACKED. We were there with people from 3 carnival ships so it was truly as busy as it gets.
