Small, tasty, and charming restaurant. Went here for our lunch after taking stroll at the Penang Street Art and very happy with both the service and the food. The attendants are very attentive and gave great service. All of the foods and drinks are good. The air con is high so you can escape the heat outside.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Duan. The interior is very comfortable, modern, and clean. The staff is also helpful and friendly. And the food was delicious! We ordered the ayam goreng rice, crispy prawn fritters, beef satay, and the signature lemon tea and fresh longan ice. Everything was crafted perfectly, and the price is reasonable too!

A truly amazing experience for the senses! The food was one of the best we had while in Penang, and one that I will be sure to recommend widely to all my friends and family. They have great variety and you can see that they out in an extra effort in everything they served - ingredients, equilibrium of tastes, texture, and presentation. We actually were going to the place next door, but our taxi repeatedly and extra-warmly recommended we try this place instead - and what a blessing it was that she did! The service is top-notch, with an easy-to-use menu which you use to write down your order with specific notes or tweaks - no way to not have a clear communication about what you are ordering. Ambiance is very relaxed, the music selection is soothing, and the stark-ish (think smooth and textured cement) modern architectural details are truly top-notch and make the interior most welcoming. Great air-conditioning - a must when faced with the Penang heat! You will also notice a very careful attention to detail in the serving wares and tools they use - all with the minimalistic logo for the place. All in all a wonderful experience - one that we have already repeated, and will again!

Place good, people good, food good. This is my first time at Duan. The place is simple and neat, and that's what I need to enjoy my meal. The food and service are more important. My wife and I enjoyed the food served and the friendly services.

Excellent experience. We stopped in lateish on a Sunday evening having just arrived on a flight - not much open, but Duan was and it was excellent. Delicious flavours - we had the Nasi Lemak, Laksa and fried chicken. All great. The deep fried vegetables were really good too, especially the mushrooms - a perfect crispy batter and a great sauce to go with them. Nice drinks - the signature grape ice blend was very sweet but a flavour sensation and the coconut one had loads of ice cream - pretty much a dessert! Large portion sizes and good value.

Very nice place because there is aircon 😆😆😆. They serve local Malaysian cuisine. Food is also good. Over I think its a good place if you want to eat local food and where you can enjoy some cold air 😆

We love this place for its unique offering of local Malaysian dishes, with a twist. Whilst adhering to the traditional and original flavours, its slight tweaks here and there provide additional flavours to the already good food. Kudos to the team!

Fancy food at premium price but mediocre in taste. While the food is generally good, but it lacks the punch to justify its price. I like the atmosphere though, the service was good/attentive. The mee sua is too bland and lacks the signature fish broth you typically get for such a dish. The rest are typical and nothing to shout out about.

Nicely decorated restaurant serving a wide variety of local food. Food tastes OK but the staffs are foreigners, so communication can be a challenge. Parking is definitely a challenge. The Kampung Style Fried Fish is surprisingly very nice though, crunchy till the fish head is edible.
