👍 First time trying and probably I set a high expectation on this. Maybe a little too high. Though fragrant and curry is flavorful, I find it quite ordinary. Maybe because I've tried better elsewhere. But still have to give credit to the tender and juicy fried chicken they served. I took the takeaw... First time trying and probably I set a high expectation on this. Maybe a little too high. Though fragrant and curry is flavorful, I find it quite ordinary. Maybe because I've tried better elsewhere. But still have to give credit to the tender and juicy fried chicken they served. I took the takeaway option and went back to the hotel to eat. Slightly unfavorable to the seating environment.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night, 10:30pm. Queue was reasonably shorter and we only had to wait about 30 minutes to reach our turn. Once you choose your menu and take your plate, you can pay first and head to your table; drinks are ordered at table. I didn’t expect the curry to be quite mild (tak pedas langsung!) Price was alright about 10-15 per person

Taste is poor, the ayam ros is burnt. Daging only 1 small piece and hard to bite. Fried chicken (ayam goreng) hard like a rock. Feel like having a overnight chicken /beef. Totally not recommended.

Long queue, but the queue is moving fast. Service is good. Very reasonable price. Overall, it's worth it to try this if you are in Penang. Kari sangat padu.

Super delicious Nasi Kandar. Great photography area too. Location is strategically located, next to a mosque (marvelous architecture), great for photography too. Definitely recommend for both travellers and locals. Parking might be a slight issue around this area.

Yummy!! We ordered via Grab so we didn’t have to queue - and when it arrived was still warm. Only downside is the cabbage we ordered 2 portion but get sikit je.

One of the best place I visited in Penang. Even though I had to get into a long queue but it was worth every second and cents. The taste of Nasi Kandar was better than Line Clear. Not taking the price of a plate of Nasi Kandar but consider the awesome taste of it will make you forget about the price. Not too expensive but the price is right. It is just that you eat in the dark, unless you choose to eat inside a small space beside the counter. Good job! Keep up the taste, I will be coming for more!

Went there past 8pm, while still under Phase2 for Penang, observed a small crowd and a rather short queue for the food. Good portion but the taste abit less salty for me.

Long q… but not due to the food quality… just because that order and food handling by one person.. that’s why it takes longer time than usual… Food wise tasted so bland..quality dropped.. not worth the queue.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The place where the locals eat their food. Small inconspicuous, but with a lot of potential and heart! Had a wonderful meal with everything that goes with it. The quality is excellent and also the people who work there are incredibly nice! Definitely a place not to be missed when eating out in Penang!

I recently tried Nasi Kandar at a nearby restaurant and was absolutely amazed by the flavors and quality of the food. The spices were perfectly balanced in each dish and the portions were generous. The service was also friendly and prompt. Overall, I highly recommend Nasi Kandar for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Up to your liking. For me, the crucial part of Nasi Kandar is the gravy. The mixture of different gravy, or individual dishes play a part to taste great. Gravy - okay 3/5 Dish- 4/5 love the ayam bawang Portion - 4/5 Price - 3/5 average

I like this place as it suits my pallette better as the taste is more original in my point of view. The Ayam goreng bawang(onion fried chicken) is extremely well done but so aromatic. Not for people who looks for juicy chicken. Cost wise, I think is reasonable compared to other establishments. The gravy is tasty but not overpowering. In all worth the visit if you don't mind the queue and the outdoors eating.

Other kuah have no taste because the curry is too sour. The fried chicken was fried too long. Not juicy and hard. Not worth recommending this place.

Curious about what queuing at popular late night nasi kandar in Penang feels like? I did. Luckily, I arrived half hour before business open and got row no. 5, watched them preparing the tables, and right at 9pm very long queu tailing behind me. Got my nasi kandar with fried chicken, sauteed cabbage, egg omelet and mixed gravy on MYR 11. The service was good though, they took my order nicely, and no rush as the other stall. My tounge told me the taste was delicious, as common Penang type, but couldn't get something special, honestly. They also fried the chicken too dry, in my opinion.

Absolutely amazing nasi kandar! I'm in Penang on holiday and was looking for a local gem and this is it. We got there 21:50 and there was a bit of a line but I'm told it gets much longer later. The place opens at 10.

Not my first time trying though. Line is long, not worth the waiting. Price wise is okay To maintain the tradition (people lining up) i think they purposely put one staff to scoop rice and dishes. Try la put one staff for scooping the rice and two staff take on dish side. Easy to get table as they have enough staff to clean table for you but not for the dishes.

Not worth at for queuing so long. The taste is so and so only. They could improvise their service as well.

For me, the whole Penang this is the best nasi kandar I had before... And it is one of my top list food to eat in Penang... I love the most is the mixture of curry (kuah campur)... Their curry all delicious but when mix all together the taste bring up to another level... You can taste differently layer of curry taste... Besides is a must to eat their green cili and lady fingers... They are the perfect match to the nasi kandar... However all the protein is nice full cover by the curry taste..

Real disappoint again the created hype by the eaters. Even the fried chicken was tasteless and the mixed curry were thin and no taste of gravy.

It lives up to it's name an popularity. It only opens at 10pm and queues already built up. Loved and recommended by locals, every single component is rich in flavour.

Havin this at 10.45pm for supper... is just awesome. Nasi tomato with chicken and sotong and flooded with mixed curry.. Can’t go wrong... This was from the shop on the left... as the queue was shorter... Honestly... I think both shops shld be relatively close in quality (this could be contentious😂)... just go for the one with less que..

P/S: Need to pay RM5.00 for proper car park. RECOMMENDED!

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
