Great ambiance! cozy atmosphere entertaining legend songs from album/movies of belated legendary artist P Ramlee. Foods are tasty and unique as their legend menu name too! Prices are affordable reasonable. Good service. Highly recommended 👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

Very good value from a UK point of view. Around £16 for two starters and two mains. Food was fine and it seems to be a popular location but just no wow factor for us.

A very nice ambience with some traditional decorations. Very friendly & attentive service from all their crew. Wide selection of food from Malay to fusion. Their food quality & presentation are worth complementing. Their satay is really good, fragrant & juicy 😋. When u order rice set, it will come with small side dishes that's presented in a wooden "congkak" a traditional malay game.

Beef rendang meat is soft and tender while the Ayam Masak Merah has enough kick to it in term of spice. Overall the food are good but just a little bit sweet. The P Ramlee deco bring a bit of nostalgia to the good old time. Will be back for more.

Delicious, I mean, super delicious. I would recommend you guys to order their dessert and "Malaya Tea Ice". The environment is very cozy and full with P.Ramlee's memories. The prices are also reasonable ❤

This is the first time we ate here. The comfortable atmosphere while playing Tan Sri P. Ramlee's song is appropriate. The food was delicious especially the Gado Gado set. While the Rendang Ayam set .. It's more like chicken curry, not like rendang raya. But it's okay. The decoration in this cafe is beautiful. We were fascinated by the saxophone frame on the wall of this cafe, beautiful. Not only are there comfortable and clean toilet facilities but a mini surau is also provided here. Can come walk in or call for early booking is easier because the table is always full. Then the parking problem, every day starting at 4 pm the car parking space outside is a space for street traders, here MPPP is very diligent and very punctual, they will tow your car along with a fine at exactly 4 pm, so please be careful. I hope this review can help you in choosing the right day and time for you to come here. ☺️

Very much enjoyed every aspect of the cafe. The food portion is quite big for me personally, so worth the price. Recommended for good food and good vibes. However, I suggest calling up the cafe and booking a table beforehand. Do come early as the road is used for night market from 3pm onwards, so parking could be a problem

Fantastic service, good ambiance. The staffs are always attentive and accommodating if you have any special requests. Foods are good, nothing special about the taste but they have a good presentation on their cuisines.

Had the Ayam percik, liked the taste, many condiments that came with it. Mee Kuah was on the sweet side so was not the best. They provide free water but only if you were to buy a drink from them. Quite an odd system especially when it's not written anywhere however was said the boss told them so, otherwise they don't make money on drinks. Issue is we purchase food already and willing to pay for warm water. Price is about RM30 nett per person for food alone. Atmosphere wise was quite good, nice ambience with P Ramlee songs playing on the background. Suggest to book a table if intending to go during peak hours.

We were welcomed by friendly and warm waitresses and waiter. Excellent service with beautiful ambience. Not many seating places but cozy. Food is beyond amazing. Both Asian and western food were delicious. The portion is perfect and the service was fast. Definitely will come again

Love the scene of this cafe that appreciates and dedicates itself based on our legend, P. Ramlee. However, it's quite hard to get yourself a table when you get into it at peak hours. I got my table that didn't serve well for my pleasant experience because I could the stack of unwashed plates behind the counter that shouldn't be there. I suggest if you can come in early, choose to sit beside their window. That's the sweet spot or else, just opt to sit outside if there's only one table left in the middle that faces the counter. Food here are nice and tasty. I suggest you try their ikan bakar for your first meal. Prices are premium here for occasional dinner.

My first time here, nice ambience. Friendly staff. Greeted warmly. We had gado gado, its was delicious and fresh big portion. Also had nasi rendang ayam and nasi ikan bakar. Food is fresh, well presented and decorated. And food came fast. I will return soon

The food was great, the vibes were a bit dimned. The staffs were attentive. The nasi ayam is nice but the nasi kambing is a little dissapointment as it was really chewy. It was really hard to eat so it is really not worth the price, the place is a bit pricey but it should not have this issue. The rice was a little bit overcooked. The kerabu were all delicious but i hope that they could be fresh. I have been here the second time.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that we had to dine here twice during our Penang trip. Loved that their theme and food pays homage to the late legend P. Ramlee and the Malay culture. Depending on your mood you may choose between classic or fusion dishes. Either way you won't be disappointed.

Dessert and drinks, in my opinion, is quite sweet, so if you're sweeth tooth, you might like it. The presentation of the food is great. The interior and the atmosphere were nice. Service from staff were great. They are trained well. There is parking, but most of the time, there were occupied. So we just park far from the cafe, and walk to it.

Relaxing vibe, beautiful decor, friendly service in a tastefully rendered colonial shop house. Dishes are well presented. Flavour tends to catered for tourists nonetheless. We found the rice a little dry and the randang slightly tough. Price is reasonable. A nice place to hangout but the foods looked better than they tasted.

Very satisfied dining at Lagenda House & Cafe! I’m really impressed by the food plating. It tastes as good as it looks! We definitely enjoyed our ikan bakar and satay. My favourite would be their brownies, its really good! Place feels warm and inviting. A good place to celebrate birthdays too. Staffs were friendly and gave fair recommendations. Price was reasonable and many foods to choose from, even western food is available. Would definitely come again!

Foods good. Drinks could be improved. Roast chicken, salmon, and massaman pasta was good. Rice is nice, but I'd expect a bit more for the price. Espresso was subpar, latte was bad. Latte milk is too thin and probably over-aerated because it's bubbly without the thickness you'd expect. Overall okay if you're used to Georgetown prices.

Lagenda House & Cafe in Penang is a remarkable place that offers a delightful experience. The ambiance of the cafe is charming and cozy, providing a comfortable setting for diners. The menu is diverse, featuring a variety of delicious dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. The food served is exceptional. Each dish is carefully prepared, using fresh ingredients and exhibiting a wonderful blend of flavors. From local favorites to international cuisines, there is something for everyone. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. In addition to the great food, they also boast a beautiful house setting, adding a unique touch to the dining experience. The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. It's a great place to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a quiet meal. However, it's worth noting that during peak hours, the cafe can get quite crowded, and securing a table might require some patience. Also, parking can be a bit challenging due to limited space. It's advisable to plan accordingly and arrive early to avoid any inconvenience. Overall, Lagenda House & Cafe in Penang is highly recommended for its fantastic food, cozy ambiance, and friendly service. It's a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike who seek a memorable dining experience in Penang. Unfortunately, I feel quite sad as I'm unable to share the videos here since the format is not supported :)

Great ambience with cozy atmosphere. The deco are nice. I love the deco of the table. The service is good with warm waitresses. It’s just a small cafe with limited seating and also limited parking space. The food tasted just so so to me. the only thing I enjoyed here is the vibes of the cafe not the food. But overall the food is okay to me with good service. Will repeat for the good service and cozy atmosphere

The quality of the food and level service here is sooooo good and it is amazing value for money too. They have a nice indoor restaurant and also a few tables on the porch for outdoor seating too. Fried fritters (mixed vegetables) are similar in a way to pakoras and come with a peanut sauce. Satay too. Both were absolutely delicious. For main definitely try the beef rendang.... Tender juicy and flavours were incredible. This dish also came with about 6 little side dishes too. Staff were very helpful in explaining different dishes and provided great service. Two large apppetisers and two mains, well presented, all super tasty and unbelievable value for money. 5 STARS RECOMMENDED ++

Great customer service, friendly host. Gado gado portion can be shared amongst 2 to 3person. Ayam Penyet is well done, crispy skin and moist meat. Sayor Lodeh sauce is very flavourful. Recommend to try. Can give Sago Do Re Mi a miss, santan mask the rest of the taste. Great ambience, songs bring back fond memories of P Ramlee movies。

If u like classical movies and songs, this is the place to go for food. I ordered the chicken rendang. It was soso only. The chicken was a bit tough for my liking. Reservation needed. I waitwd quite long for my meal. The rest of my family were nearly half done with their dinner when I reminded the staff that Im still waiting for my meal. The price was a bit on the high side.

This is one of those restaurants which I would rate 5 stars without a doubt! Have always loved dining here since 7 years ago when it was still at Lebuh Campbell. It has moved to a bigger space now which is even better. If you are looking for authentic Indon-Malay food, this must be it. The taste is simply impeccable. Beef rendang was so tender and flavourful. We have enjoyed the ayam percik, Indonesian fried rice and even spaghetti carbonara. Pricing is very reasonable for the portion and quality they offer. Expect to spend RM15-RM25 per dish on average. Every staff was so friendly and humble. My kids who are usually not fond of spicy food actually enjoyed every single bite. Take note to make reservation as it's usually full house. As for parking, I suggest you to pay RM5 and park at the open space carpark which is only 100m walk away. You may find luck with the street parking, but won't get it 9/10 times.

1st time here with family. They all had great time here and everyone of them loves the food very much. I think this should be the local Indonesian food which I had once during our Bali trip. Staff are very helpful and attentive.

The environment of the cafe is very cosy, has a nostalgia feeling with P ramlee music playing. The staff is super friendly and helpful, thumbs up! Pricing of the food on the menu is slightly on the higher side for local delicacies but the portion fits the price of the food. You’re getting what you paid. Food presentation is good too, especially with the chongkak. I ordered rendang chicken and madu chicken. Rendang tasted really good. The dessert I ordered is sago, tasted so-so in my opinion. Perhaps can try other dessert in the future. Hope to visit soon.

I would come here for the space and lovely staff support. The food is a little high price, but i must say they are nothing too special (regardless the fact that we called restaurants choice). The place was somewhat growing so i would say it has 5 stars overall. You should come here in special occasion or birthday week to get the staff lovely welcome (i think the staff group did their training well and i have nothing to complain about them). The spirit is so cute and wholesome. I hope they provide peanuts for waiting guests at least because the restaurant is small and sometimes there is a lot of people waiting

The deco here is very nice and keeps playing P Ramlee's songs, really one of a kind restaurant. Good service as well. The sauce for gado-gado is just nice and excellent and the nasi ayam percik madu is very very nice! The arrangement of condiments in a congkak really unique. Fish and chips for my kid so-so la but overall the price here is very reasonable. Definitely coming back again when in Penang. Hard a bit to find parking.

We like gado-gado, just like like tropical style salad with peanut sauce. The satay is delicious. We love the chicken rendang season with coconut milk, which is very creamy. The squid rice is spicy but really good. The banana bakar is very good as well. The coconut shred, gula melaka, and vanilla blend so well together.

Reservation is a must. Packed most of the time. When there for birthday dinner . Food ordered are well served and delicious. Little changes compare to original Indo dishes to statisfy local taste. Huge portion for every dishes they serves. Side dishes well provided. Nasi padang and gado-gado my favourites. Fish & Chip & Chicken chop are nice. Occasion pack available , call for more details. Desert also very unique and special especially their sago with santan. They provided good service as well. Baby chair available. Paid parking lot available just behind the restaurant.

If you are looking for malay foods with nice ambient and atmosphere then you should visit here. Here they serve conventional and also some cross over malay western fusion dishes. It is my first time visit here with my gf. I really enjoyed the foods especially the ayam penyet that comes with blue rice and spices served on a very special congkak tray. Last but not least, the price is also very affordable with the quality of foods they served. Very recommended for everyone!

Beautiful restaurant with P. Ramlee's theme. Enjoy the playlist of songs from P Ramlee's movies. Got western fusion foods and local foods for you to pick. I ordered Squid Lemak (I forgot the full name). Need to wait a little bit before my food being served but it worth time as the food was delicious. Amazing food. I liked the Satay, esp that peanut sauce. Yummm. Even taht Beef redang was soo flavourful n yum. Calamari starter wanted some marinating, hehe its just me being Indian. Service was good too. No long wait.
