Terrible. Waste of money. Service was terrible, food not much better. Made to prepay RM65 each to secure a reservation, which was fine, but to arrive and no consideration for booking requests or seating to have been considered was disappointing, they had 4 bookings on the list when we arrived at 6:30pm, all sat next to each other to avoid too much moving around for staff, when we requested to be sat outside per the original booking request, we were directed out the door and just seat our self where ever. As the restaurant is now also the viewing deck, dinner is constantly interrupted with people walking beside/behind/between you to take photos and view the sights. Staff did not enjoy coming out to us, 2 out of 3 drinks I walked into the bar to order myself because no one was to be seen. When I asked what the house white wine was, I was told it’s a white wine and she didn’t know anything else, when I asked if she could find out, she said, no but you can goto the bar and look, an absolute disgrace, then to have a 10% service charge! There was no service to charge for. To top it off, when the bill arrived they hadn’t taken the prepayment off, when I questioned this, the server asked what prepayment?, I said the one required to make a booking!! After playing dumb for a minute she agreed and took RM130 off the bill. JUST AVOID THE PLACE

Very nice view while you can enjoy your meal after having a hot sunny day walk on the skydeck. The ambient just okay. The food and beverages price also very affordable. I had my Nasi Lemak Chicken Rendang. I love it. I dont like the taste of the sambal. Not into my taste bud. Overall im enjoy my meal and the view. Staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you for your service.

TopView Restaurant .... amazing dinner. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions. Hospitable hosts especially Christine...amazing lady. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The food is delicious with beautiful presentation and great services. Nice view during your dinner. Do not hassle over the parking. Easy guide up to the top. Do drop by if you ever go Penang.

The view is amazing, you can see the whole city. But the food was not that good, just okay. And the elevator takes forever, you have to queue for a long time.

Had a great experience in Top View Restaurant celebrating my husband's birthday. We were touched by the nice & close to perfect treat from the staff there. We enjoyed the view & thanks to May & Christine whom willingly helped us in capturing the sweet moments there. We were so thrilled with the food served there & applaud chef Yusri Tan for making such a delicious & unforgettable tasty servings. My husband loves them a lot! Mr. Rafiq is very helpful at answering our queries & very professional. Last but not least we thanked the manager Mr. Kelvin whom sent us off guiding us back from the restaurant to our car. It was a splendid services from Top Restaurant. My husband and I really appreciate their service & good performance. I will definitely come back for more & would highly recommend for others to come too. Not just for the delicious food that they served but also the mesmerising view as well as their warmth & welcoming gestures by their staff. Thank you so much for making this a joyful & memorable journey.

Fantastic view! Came here for their high tea set. Definitely value for money!!! Had an extremely pleasant experience! All the people who served or assisted were extremely polite. Quite a large spread, more than enough for 2 pax. Pair it with white wine for best results in my opinion. Definitely recommend to all. May have to wait a few minutes for the set to come, but its worth it.

Environment and the view is nice. Interior decoration is so so but food is much below mediocre. Chicken is over cooked with hard & dry texture. Scallop too salty. First & last time coming here.

Normally the food for this type of tourist attraction place should be only decent. But, for topview , it surprised us. It really tasted very good. Every dishes we ordered is all emptied. This is worth the money Resturant with delicious food and excellent view. Service is a little lack because lack of staff. But overall, we enjoyed.

It potrays itself as a fine dining restaurant. Apart from the high prices and the magnificent view, there wasn't really much to shout about. We ordered some pasta, fish & chip and soup but what really irked us is that our waiter did not take down our order of their signature dessert and when it was bought to his attention the kitchen was already closed and stop taking food orders. Won't be dining here again any time soon.

Had lunch there a couple of days ago. Food was ok and reasonable priced. But came for the view which was fabulous. Highly recommended. If ever you are in Georgetown, this is the place to visit.

Celebrated my birthday here. Nice ambience. Beautiful view from the top. But would recommend to go before the sunset so that u can see the nice view. Cant see much when its too dark Good service. From the entrance up to the restaurant. We had 2 elderly people with walking stick. It was a bit difficult to go up the stairs to reach the escalator but after that we were greeted and helped and provide assistance all the way to the restaurant. Everyone were really accomodating and helpful The only minus point is the food is not so nice. I guess we expected the food to match the price that we are paying. The chicken was too dry. And the portion is quite small. The lamb was ok. Not so juicy but not so bad

24 Mar 2023. With my love one here for the first time. Really amazing view. Food also taste ok. We tried to make sure not over spent too much from our deposit, we still miss count due to the tax inclusive in the pricing.

Arrived at around 12pm with less than 10 tables of customers. Sat down for close to 10 minutes and no one attended to us despite us trying to get the servers’ attention. I approached the counter and ask if I could order there but was told to be seated and someone would attend to us, just that we “must be prepared to wait”. We placed our food order with one of the female server, only to be told by her that we “must be prepared to wait” again as “there are many customers”. Drinks came after 10 minutes (mocha & fresh coconut), and first dessert (creme brûlée) came after another 10 minutes, followed by the next one (Nutella French toast) after about 15 minutes. Our last dessert didn’t come and we decided to pay and leave. View was great but food tasted meh and service was terrible. Probably wouldn’t visit again.

We have a wonderful night at Top View Restaurant. The view was stunning,the atmosphere & the food was great! The service from the team were excellent! Special thanks to Mei who guide us and help us to take wonderful pictures at the Top with the lovely sunset! We will definitely come back again👍😘

Highly recommended for dating couple's and small family ,Waiters service was good with politely and manners.Really great for small family gathering and candle light dinner.Worth the money we spend. At last the outdoor area is the most special place to view to get pleasant Environment.

Atmosphere amazing, food ok and service really bad. The waiters don’t even come help, you need to literally get up and call them all the time.

Great view. The staff tries their best with the service so even though some things were forgotten it’s still acceptable since they seemed to lack experience with large groups. The food is okay, not fantastic but not lousy either. I had the Nasi Lemak which was acceptable. Would rate the food 3.5 stars.

We went a batch of 15 person. Out of 20-25 items we ordered, they bring 6 items that are not ordered by us. There is no proper order list and communication established. Also the taste of food is just ok but expensive. So waste of money to eat in the restaurant But the visuals from that 68th level is awesome and environment is very good to spend time there

Had Fish & Chip during lunch (12pm-3pm) and enjoy complementary soup & desert. Food is good, View is good, Portion is just right for ladies and less eater man. Price is a bit high. Thry have in and out door.

Awesome dining experience at 68th floor. Menu can be improved with more main course choices of western and local food. Mushroom soup on menu was not available. Bread should be served complimentary like in most high dining restaurants. Beautiful sunset at observatory just outside TopView.

Decided to dine in with the family for Christmas Eve luncheon. Made reservation & paid booking fee of RM 25/pax (a la carte lunch booking) via whatsapp a week before and direction was to go to ticketing counter at Level 6 to check on booking before heading up to the restaurant. Turned out, need to queue at the same queue where everyone else queued to purchase their entrance for other attractions at The Top. Showed my bank payment transaction receipt and the cashier issued a receipt and vouchers + entrance ticket. From there, walk over to the entrance /lift area to the higher floors.need to change lift at level 60 or 65 (suddenly forgotten) then the other lift take to level 68 where the restaurant is at. Upon arrival, staff seems pleasant and welcoming. But they forgotten my request for a baby chair (it's ok, no big deal, requested again). Ordered Nasi Lemak Rendang, Beef Hor Fun, Spagethhi Aglio Olio with Grilled chicken, Classic Beef Burger, Pan Seared Salmon & Mushroom soup. First taste for 2 plates of Aglio Olio & Beef Hor Fun are super salty..it's not edible to us. When we feedbacked, they arranged to be replaced. When the replacement of Aglio olio came, there was no salt according to the diner's but when I tasted, it had a teeny bit of salt 😂 Beef Hor fun replacement was much better, still salty but it's edible this time. Tasted the mashed potato on the salmon dish & Rendang also more to the salty side but still edible and just need to drink more water. Tried asking next table how's their dishes - they also feedbacked it's salty but they can accept it I guess coz they didn't not complain to the waiter. Maybe it's just our luck that time when the chef prepared the dishes he's just feeling salty😅 Anyway, love the view but not the food. Especially for the price paid (sum up around RM 400plus) - it's not worth it.

I was there for my afternoon tea with my son. surprisingly, the platter was so scrumptious and well-presented. We were enjoying our canapes and beautiful view from the rooftop. Many thanks to the team. Chef Yusri who was so brilliant in inventing the menu. Mr Rafiq and Christine with their warm welcome and services. Also Mr Kevin and Mei, thank you so much for showing us the great hospitality during our visit. Definitely will come back for our next celebration. Highly recommended for all diners.

Great experience at TopView Restaurant & Lounge with friendly restaurant crews and yummy food 👍🏻 The indoor environment of the restaurant was lovely. The lighting was perfectly set with nice background music played. It was definitely an enjoyable one! To have a walk at the outdoor area is something that can never be missed... the beautiful scenery left my family and myself with a sweet memory. We will surely visit there again!

Food and service was quite bad....but considering the price, we can accept it. I find it a waste that the view is so pretty but the food served was not up to standard. If there is better quality served in the food, there will definitely be many people because of the pretty scenery. Such a waste! T_T

we had such a great romantic candle light dinner... we love the restaurant and its view... so exclusive, classy, contemporary occidental, positively clean with friendly staff and manager, so spacious...... moreover, the food were tasty and affordable....the staff and manager made us so comfortable and they r so attentive.. great service.. easy to request anythg in terms of food and orders... ❤️❤️❤️

I booked a ticket for us to have a view deck experience via klook, however we were not admitted due to an issue with the ticket I purchased. When we arrived, it was Kevin who assisted us and he was very accommodating. Since, we weren’t able to proceed with our initial plan we proceeded to the exit and he asked me about it. He stopped me for a second and asked for a minute as he will call someone to check for a possible slot for us. Glad he was there, we managed to have a seat. Surprisingly, we were not just assigned outside but he was able to arrange a table inside the restaurant. The staff, Maria. She made us feel welcome and very accommodating. Kudos to the staff of this place. Your experience will be superb. Legit😊 thank you for going above and beyond for us🥰

3 stars for the view, The food was OK( most dishes tasteless, some are salty and they will add water and bring you back so you will feel the taste is very light, the dessert was sticky and not fresh made, be prepared to wait long time when you order food or any set dinner), the view is nice however the aircon had a problem and not cool enough and they give us a fan but for the outdoor is good for the view but it's hot, it's got nice view but you still need to add 60 ringgit extra for the top view glassfloor to walk on for 2 meters, so far is good view from the top but don't expect the food to taste good as it looks good 😅, it's not too busy and you must book and pay 318 ringgit in advance, just enjoy the view and the sore coconut.

Truly recommend this restaurant, it has very good view , the foods are delicious , the staffs are very friendly and helpful to help me for my marriage proposal. Thumbs up Mei and her team 👍

Great ambience, lovely staff along with a nice view. Very good appetisers however the main course was a bit disappointing. Would not recommend the lamb from the set menu as it was quite hard to bite. However very nice presentation on the food👍🏻

The view is the best in the penang Foods and service is good But you have to buy voucher to go up the topview. The voucher is not expensive because of inclouding food price One person pay for 65Rm and you can eat food and drins 65Rm But if you eat over 65RM you have to pay for over price

We went there yesterday and we really enjoyed the spectacular view and scrumptious food..the service was excellent from the chef and the service team..we would like to give our compliment to Chef Yusri for his creativity and delicious food, our server Rafiq was friendly and efficient and not forgotten Mr Kelvin who always ensure we’re comfortable and happy. Last we went there was 3 years ago and we can see a lot of different now. Keep it up The Top! Definitely will suggest to our friends and family to visit the restaurant and the theme park 😊

Romantically environment for dating couple having dinner while enjoying sunset view & night view of Penang Island. Excellent service at the reception & dinning area. Nice food art presentation & food taste delicious too. Highly recommended!
